OP is that account really yours? Because to me if that account is yours you would have reported it or created this thread a long time ago not in this era😅, like I checked, the last time the owner (I mean your account) dropped a post was 2015. Since then till now you waited for who or what before complaining?
Well, if you really value that account as you said is yours you would have started complaining earlier and not now but from the look of things is like the account isn't banned or maybe you don't have access it, in terms of changing password or something.
As I'm typing things are getting into my head about this account issue, apologies but have to say it, is it that you made a deal with someone like you bought the account but the password or email wasn't given to you due to some issues between you and the seller and you decide to come here for help, right? This is kinda confusing, what's your offense that made them ban your account as you think?

It seems to be something that used to happen in the early years of the forum and hasn't happened for years.

But on the other hand, am I the only one who sees a confession of ban evading in this thread?
<snip>

The OP mentioned that his donator account was banned around 2013 and 2014. Upon reviewing the OP's profile, I observed that it was created on January 2, 2014. If his donator account was banned after this date (January 2), we can dispel the suspicion that this case involves ban evasion.

Fortunately, hilariousandco confirmed that it can be unlocked, which is good news for him.

When he created the second account is not relevant. Bans apply to people not just to accounts.

If what you say were true, those who come to the forum to break the rules with premeditation would only have to create a dozen accounts on the same day and start using the last one. Then when they were banned from that account they could move on to using the second to last one without evading ban, and so on.

OP should be active here so that's its become easy to understand the case and give possible advice to unbanned the account. Now reading the whole story and reply of the seniors, Op should now clear that this is Temp ban or Permanent because if this ban is due to inactivity or using bad words than chances of temp-ban is high. Op is requested to give screenshot to make it clear.

Now OP has you have BTC or Ripple account available which you used for donating ?

It just seems to be locked due to inactivity/being possibly compromised. If you can sign a message it can be unlocked.
Odd, I found messages from 2013 in the Staff section asking for his ban for trolling.
But the "locked_2019_vuhnu" email might indicate that it's not a ban. But he said himself that he was trolling

Maybe it was just a temp ban. You're unlikely to get permabanned for trolling unless you've had multiple warnings and bans and still won't stop.

Edit. It seems there is actually two bans on the account. The other is for "Alt currencies content outside of Alt currencies board" which doesn't have an expiration date. Maybe one was forgotten to be put in because that also is unlikely to get you a permaban unless you're a serial repeat offender. Either way, op is going to have to sign a message if he wants the account unlocking.

There is no single wallet associated with this account found, and no BTC address on his profile, so what and how will he sign a message to authenticate account ownership?

The original mail could be the only option at this point.

You might also see if you still have access to your old Ripple addresses; signing a message with one of those would work equally well. Seems like you used this one a few times:

rGd4FaNjg22EvTuot3SRKF1suueUSc8Lhd
The question is, is it possible to sign a message from a ripple address, just like it is with bitcoin and Ethereum? I have done a quick search and there isn't much information, plus things look too complicated  Grin

One thing that makes me wonder is who could just forget about their donator account and just continue using a lower ranked account for all that long without appealing.

You guys are incredibly responsive. I might try to sign a transaction with the key that allowed me to donate 5 BTC to Bitcointalk. But that goes way back. It doesn't seem simple to me!

During that time, I talked a lot about Ripple, and XRP wasn't well-received on Bitcointalk. I irritated some people and ended up "trolling," which resulted in a ban. This must have been around 2013 or 2014.

I tried several times (in 2014, 2018, and 2022, i have many mp's with différents moderators, i can post it) to recover this account by questioning the moderators of the French section. It was only tonight that n email "locked_2019_vuhnu" asked me to create this kind of thread in this section. What I am finally doing... I know, it's late!

If you can sign a message with another coin that would also help. If you've got addresses in your PMs they could also be used if we can verify them.

He probably can't so he's probably SOL but it's best messaging the recovery team to try work it out.

It's easy with Bitcoin Core bitcoin-cli: Just call createwallet and make sure you tell it to create a legacy wallet, that will allow you to sign messages, then use importprivkey, and finally use signmessage.

You might also see if you still have access to your old Ripple addresses; signing a message with one of those would work equally well. Seems like you used this one a few times:

You can, apparently.
