I became active in the forum last month and at first, it was difficult to understand how so many things work here.

I read many threads and they were helpful but they weren't  detailed enough to give me the information I needed.

Then I decided to become open and make a post expressing my current problems in the forum. I had my fears but then, I just wanted to learn so I posted this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5467614.msg62881324#msg62881324

Although I initially received loads of criticism and of course some useful information, someone dropped a link to an article that gave me an insane guide on key fundamental topics like

1. Accounts: This covers almost everything you need to know about creating and securing your account.
2. Address:
3. Airdrops
4. Altcoins
5. Authentication
6. Bitcoin
7. Blockchain
8. Books
And lots of information I never imagined I could get from one particular place.

I recommend that every newbie or someone who is really in need of quality information should go through this
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5364418.0

It is a library of information that you can't exhaust and remain the same.

Ask question questions and never despise the days of your little beginning. Every great person started as a newbie so enjoy the learning process.

I think in some cases it's better to be fool like if you want to learn something you don't know if you ask a question on the forum or anywhere to learn about it.
Yes, in some cases, one thing becomes annoying that similar questions are being created again and again in the same topic or coming before the forum members, in this case, many people can criticize without controlling themselves, but you will not take the criticism in mind.
In some cases, those criticisms will be useful to you, cz in some case those criticisms will can create interest in your mind to explore, also desire to know new questions. This is how the journey basically begins. See for yourself, you have found an important topic of Ratimov, a lot things can be learned from that topic.

It's more than foolish if you don't read, search to find answers before you ask questions.

If you always ask questions without your due diligent research, it's foolish because I am doubtful you will read any replies on your questions. Being lazy enough to not search that is enough to don't read any reply.

The thread Newbies - Read before posting is for lazy members who don't search but always ask.

If the question is already written and we can read multiple answers provided then its better to read those post made. Since its no sense to create another thread intended for that question since they will just get the same answer or they will not get a direct to the point opinion from people. To many helpful threads created on each section wherever they go that's why instead spending some time waiting for some people to answer its better to research since this can help us increase the awareness on many things and we can get a lot of information by browsing since to many related stuff that we can search on.
Although its really good to ask but people need to make sure first that if there question has not been asked already so they can avoid any negative thoughts that might place on the thread they create.

There are questions one can ask on the forum and people won't think twice about supplying answers to them but some users (esp noobs) ask obvious questions like "what is Bitcoin" just because they want to stay on topic which is quite exhausting because firstly, there's something like a Google search engine and second, some other person have created a thread like that and answers have been supplied to it.
Asking questions helps a lot because it clears you where beforehand you were lost but I don't think silly, obvious questions count. Personally I feel there won't be much need for some questions we see here if the Op was diligent enough to have done their homework before bringing it up here.

Although I might understand what the op is trying to pass across because I've observed that some users here try to avoid criticism if they ask for clearance to a question that bothers them and instead prefer to just keep it in and since they are not conversant with the search engine, the problem goes unsolved and they know less about that area.

Everyone started from having no knowledge up to learning and then becoming masters to what they do. And for newbies, do not be shy to ask about new things that you've just read and heard. Even those that have been here for long, still asks questions. It's just free and there's no need to think that it's bad to ask questions unless it's literally a foolish question that's just mocking or hurting someone else. There could be some feelings that you guys feel when you asks questions and then you're answered impolitely. Don't make that ruin yourselves and still ask questions politely and just go straight forward as you just want to learn something new and ask valid questions.

There are different opinions on whether it is worth asking questions or whether to still use the search. On the other hand, a beginner does not know the whole system, and the opinion of old-timers is that asking obvious questions is not entirely correct. Likewise, there is so much information on the forum that, by simply reading it, most questions will automatically disappear. I think that people who are new to the forum should at least take a look at what is here and how. But when we see a person registered today and immediately starts asking without making the slightest effort in searching, then naturally he will meet with a lot of criticism. I don't know how typical this is for forums—creating many topics in one day and talking about yourself—but logically, a person should be more modest so as not to look like a fool who does not know how to look further than their nose.

Well thought of and we'll written. In two weeks we would see a newbie who would make this same mistake by registering today and jumping in to ask questions with doing their due diligence or worst still writing to advise others. This doesn't apply to newbies who already have good grasp of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Asking questions will not kill you, so why hesitate to ask questions? I mean I'm not pertaining to you, but I believe that there are some here who are just shy to ask questions because of the fact that they might receive harsh answers coming from other users. TBH, I'm hesitant to ask questions here as well, so what's the solution? Search button.

Now with regards to search button, I believe that the forum has been the main source of my knowledge when it comes to crypto, but aside from that, I also watch educational videos on Youtube as well. In this way, I don't need to ask, but I'll just use the search button, and there you go... my answer is there already. I'm not saying that don't ever ask questions here, but there's always another way to get those answers.

Exactly, I would rather be called a fool to gain knowledge than to remain a fool forever, it's easy as ABC, I have been on Bitcointalk from for some time now and when I was new I usually get some annoying responses, sometimes I find them to be hurtful and some are hilarious, making jokes out of me, but my father always said that pretending to be a fool to gain knowledge is a great wisdom, one shouldn't be ashamed in this case.

When I was new I don't even bother to use the search engine on the forum to find answers to my problem, and most members on this forum have reacted in a unpleasant ways for asking questions that have been discussed over again, and some members still answer my questions even even when they knew its not a new topic.

We are not all created the same, some will react in a very good way and some will get on your nerves and probably even insult you, do not mind, you are here to acquire some knowledge so, keep doing your best and avoid breaking the forums rules, you will be alright.

Some newbies will simply join forums by asking questions that are not meant to ask. Some of these questions can even annoy you, which is why some newbie accounts get tag or banned from the forum. Still, some newbies are not going to learn from their mistakes. To help each newbie, there is a search button at the top right of the forum to support us in our search for whatever we want to learn about. Newbies need to be aware that this forum is to produce a good quality post and conduct thorough learning on bitcoin before asking what they don't understand. He who asks will never lost, so they need to realize that. It takes time, effort, and patience to move forward in this forum.

Everyone who wants to learn should ask questions in this forum, but we should be aware of what questions to ask. I don't think anyone is above learning something they don't understand. Some newbies may even get upset when high rank members aren't taking it easy with them. However, everyone who wants to learn should not be upset for any reason.

Asking question is not bad when the question are constructive and necessary but the truth is that it's our laziness that prompt us to ask question. If not all, majority of the questions been asked here are already been answered but laziness to read or search for it in the forum using the search button will not allow us. We prefer to create duplicate thread on the issues that has been treated before. Like seriously, asking some questions will make you look like absolute fool.

The forum and the members are here to offer help and guidance to one another not minding the rank but some times it annoys to keep repeating one thing severally. You don't need to ask question always, you need to read and learn always. You can only ask questions after you have read and you can not understand. It's better to keep the forum clean and spam free to discussing one issue severally.

Although I initially received loads of criticism and of course some useful information, someone dropped a link to an article that gave me an insane guide on key fundamental topics like.
If  you don't want some of their response to be ccrticized you have to avoid ask unuseful questions. That's why They always advise us beginners to do more research and learn a lot, so that we can cover everything before dropping some topics or asking questions, therefore don't ignore the criticism sometimes if you don't failed, you won't learn..

The bottom line is that the member's ability to research and learn new things before creating a thread is a very foolish approach to learning because there is no need to duplicate posts when there is an already existing post that covers your area of curiosity.
So is very important to read more and write less in most cases and the ability to select the area of focus in your research guarantees faster and lasting understanding.

You really have to ask questions about things that you do not know or are aware of It is not for your own benefit but for others who faced or have the same questions or will encounter these questions many will benefit and that includes higher rank if we're not going to ask anything there is no discussion on topics.
More so on forums so even if the question is nonsense but if it leads to a good discussion it's better to ask it and just ignore those who question your intention to as that question.

It is true that questions of inquiries does not make one a fool but rather, it expands the knowledge of the person asking to gain more idea on what they are curious about. When you ask question, there is always a high percentage that you learn from what you ask because asking is part of the educational process that involves one learning by asking question and it is imperative to know that you will only know what you have no idea about only when you ask question.

So therefore question is very important and a vital role in education and learning process. No matter how irrelevant it is, there must always be an information one would get from that question asked no matter  how stupid or irrelevant it is. Do not forget many people reasoning and perspective are not the same. One single individual must pick something from that question to learn from based on the response gotten. No question is a waste of time.

“Ask" and “question" are the most reoccurring words in the comment section. Which shows how important it is to ask about things you don't understand in the bitcoin community. Members don't take any good question as foolish. Newbies who get bad responses, most a times asked again an answered question. When reading bitcoin articles I send questions on google and get answers that lead me to this forum. The forum contains lots of answered bitcoin related questions, I noticed. If you don't want to feel foolish, look it up on google, not on bitcoin talk. Google will direct you, to a thread that answers your question in bitcointalk forum. In searches where the preferred answers are not found here, then you can ask the forum and they'll rarely criticize your post, as it serves a good purpose. Yet newbies fail to notice this, and rush to ask questions with no prior research, whether it has been asked. That's why we still see thread where the Op might feel foolish. Causing a decrease in the forum activities of the newbie. He'll have a million and one reason not to ask questions again. Hence, dropping them to the non active member crew. This thread, which I love, will help newbies like myself to summon the courage to keep asking questions and participating in the forum despite what we feel from the criticisms of our previous mistakes. Soon we'll learn and make lesser mistake, as such.

Maybe you're a newbie and all you could think of is investing your money on any crypto projects and thought about everything will be alright, then that's a mistake because it's like you having a fire on the mountain, there are memecoins we should stay off clear, when we are a beginner, it is mostly advised that we invest on bitcoin only, in other to allow us not to fall into the den of scammers through their shitcoins projects.

Newbies are always in a haste to invest whenever they hear or see any project and they Fail to do their own research as to know more on the project they are about making investment on. I have h as d this experience where I am always in a haste to invest in projects without doingy own proper research and upon doing that, be they run away or rug pull with investors funds without any tangible reasons and in most cases no one hears from team again. I have lost capitals to that effect. Everw since then I started taking my time to do my own research and basically I prefer Bitcoin over other investments. I think newbies should consider investing in Bitcoin so as to be protected compared to other shit coins.
