But wait, Fury is famous for having meltdowns. I never saw Fury have a meltdown before, I have seen him come out with a whole lot of funny rants during interviews and crazy behaviour to grab the attention and headlines. Personally, I think most of what he does is for the cameras and is very well choreographed therefore not spontaneous but I could be wrong maybe they were meltdowns ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Either I incorrectly translate or understand word meltdown, but isnt it when person goes crazy? The moment when he got bipolar disorder? The moment when he had alcohol addiction. The moment when he was so depressed, that he wanted to crash his car and commit a suicide? Last two fights shows that Fury isnt Fury used to be. There is something with his head definitely. Knockdown from Ngannou, knockdown and save by ref in fight against Usyk. What would we get from third fight? A knockout?

I understand. Yes, it is true Fury had a lot of mental health issues and he suffered a lot. If I recall correctly his body weight increased to dangerous levels and he was losing the will the live. Thankfully with the support of a strong family and loving caring wife he managed to get himself back to a great mental and physical level which saw him defeat Wilder. As for the knockdowns, if he does get counted out by the referee I am fairly certain the count of 10 would be while climbed back up on his feet, he would not be getting knocked out cols on the canvas. Still, I think Fury could win the rematch and take this to a trilogy. Either I incorrectly translate or understand word meltdown, but isnt it when person goes crazy? Fury has considerable wear and tear but he is not completely shot. If he were, Usyk wouldn’t have been so bruised up the next day. Without the knockdown, the fight would have been a 3-way split draw. It was close enough that Fury deserves some benefit of the doubt. He could make some adjustments that could result in a different outcome. I wouldn’t favor Fury in the rematch but it isn’t a foregone conclusion that Usyk will win again.

Just five votes have been cast in the rematch poll and we are on 4 for Fury and 1 for Usyk. There is something in the air about Fury possibly getting a stunning victory to exact revenge for the loss he suffered last month. Put it this way, if Usyk wins that would be the end of the matter but if Fury wins, both boxers and their teams will have to go where the money goes and will lead to a blockbuster trilogy. We need more votes in the poll ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Made some correction in poll Who are those 4 that expect Fury to win? From the fight I saw, it did not look that Fury got something special, ace in the hole or Usyk won unfair. I just dont get what are in peoples mind. They think that Fury will not train twice as hard, but Usyk would chill till December and would not make any correction in tactics. People probably think that "yeah, now Fury has learned Usyk and know what to expect". Usyk now knows Fury also and I suspect, that this time he wont let him go in the ropes and no judge would help him. After fight against Usyk, AJ also told that he would be ready for a rematch. But it all ended with split and "how did you beat me?". Fury might have a longer reach, but Usyk is faster than him. I voted for Usyk. The problem with Fury is most of the time, his face is wide open, and I also saw this against Wilder, but his throwing many punches that has no power at all. Just look at how he got knocked down in the 9th round. He landed so many weak punches that left him wide open, and Usyk took advantage on it by throwing a right hook followed by a left hook that caused him to wobble, and eventually knocked down. If he will do it again in their rematch, it will be the same result. I hope Fury will not do it again. Fury has the power, but Usyk has the power + the speed, so I will go with Usyk with this one again and retain his belt, but I will not be surprised if we will see a trilogy on this one.

Fury might have a longer reach, but Usyk is faster than him. I voted for Usyk. Fury is bigger and has a lot of advantages on his side but not only is Usyk a little faster, he seems to be technically the better boxer too. Maybe it was a wrong decision for Fury to lose that much weight before the fight and maybe he will return heavier for the rematch. After 9 rounds many boxers can get tired and lower their guard at the wrong time but Usyk did well in that round. If Fury had managed to press in rounds 4-6 instead of taking a step back he would have won the fight on a TKO. During those rounds it was almost all about Fury but the final four rounds it was almost all about Usyk. Fury often fights with his mouth wide open at times and it did very well for his career even with the Usyk defeat ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Fury has the power, but Usyk has the power + the speed, so I will go with Usyk with this one again and retain his belt, but I will not be surprised if we will see a trilogy on this one. Therefore you believe Fury could win?

What I see is that Fury degrade from fight to fight. Close fight but was in knockdown in last fight. Was in knockdown the fight before that. Finished Chisora only in 10th round, while Derek is 40 and lost to all other top opponents (lets just agree that Chisora isnt top anymore). Not saying that Usyk is only gaining on a contrast to Fury, but I doubt that we will see a better or new version of Fury in their rematch.

We will have to wait and see, if he is just venting a little bit then there is nothing to worry about, after all who has not taken a few drinks after a difficult day at work? Fury just had the worst day of his career so he is justified to take some time to straight his mind before the rematch with Usyk, however he is not going to have a lot of time to do this, so he needs to refocus and concentrate completely on the fight, as that is the only way he will have a chance to recover the belts he lost.

Just imagine what people would say if Fury went further downhill and lost the plot completely whereas Usyk ends up being stereotype cast in movies where he plays the character of a boxer, fighter, bodyguard etc. If this is a one-off he will recover from it and be in top shape for his rematch but I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Both of these boxers have a lucrative career away from the boxing ring when they retire but they have ensure they do not stray on to a bad path.

Hopefully that was only a one-off thing. But if that's true that he didn't drink in over a year, then it doesn't look like a good time to start. I'm not sure if that was due to not coping with the loss too well or not, but the truth is, he was taking a lot of pride from being undefeated and that was taken away from him. He was also emphasising his Christian faith a lot, often claiming it was the source of his success, but Usyk seemed to "outperform" him in that area too (if we could say that at all). From the outside perspective, Usyk looks much more devoted and serious in his faith.

I don't think this is a one-off thing, there were stories in the past about him this way as well, he was taking drugs and alcohol. He is just not handling the loss too well. A lot of these fighters have been on top and undefeated for a while thinking no one can defeat them and then somebody just shut them off and pull their asses down from their high horse and got depressed when they looked at the internet comments about them. Seems a pattern people with tremendous pride have been going through when they lose friends. The last time, it was also postponed because of him. Would you be confident enough to put your money on this December? We are yet not sure how he'd look like.

I saw that video too and my initial reaction is that Fury might have lost it again mentally. I'm sure we are all familiar with him going into a lot of problems before, suffering from mental health and it was one of his darkest day. And I'm seeing here another bout of his with that inner demon that he is going to fight specially after losing the first time against Usyk. And hopefully people around him, his family should try and salvage him this early because they will have a rematch and who knows, maybe their is also drugs that can be involved here that will really dampen his hope to win the rematch.

Therefore you believe Fury could win? He has a chance. I mean he didn't become a world champion if he can't win against other strong fighters like Usyk. I believe he can, but with I'm rooting with Usyk to win on their rematch still. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It was said on the video that he hasn't drink liquor for more than a year, so I guess this action of him is partly because of his defeat against Usyk. Anyway, people will just forget about what happened with him after a few weeks that's for sure, but with what happened of him on this one, I hope that he's ready with criticisms and bashes from his fans and other boxing fans as well. As for his fight, I don't think that it will get affected just because of this incident. He can recover in months... I think.

Maybe I am feeling Fury will win because in the back of my mind I am hoping for a trilogy ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Having said that, when you put two very powerful and determined boxers in the ring, anything could happen. Regardless of the world titles on the line, a winner could literally be just one uppercut, hook or surprise punch away. Usyk deserved the win on the day but will he be as hungry and determined in the rematch as much as he was in their unification bout? As for Fury, if he is determined to set the record straight maybe Usyk will not be able to withstand that sort of pressure and that is why boxing fans are eagerly awaiting for the rematch. If Usyk wins the rematch he could easily take the path you suggested and retire to spend time with his family because he would have nothing else to prove to anybody. The dilemma he would face about retirement is to be addressed by Usyk after the winner of the rematch is announced. They had a two-fight deal therefore regardless of who wins the rematch there will not be a compulsory trilogy. Having said that I am sure in the event Usyk loses, their teams will ensure a trilogy takes place. Better think about split draw and a trilogy like against Wilder ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) But Fury should think quick and take decisions quick, as I dont know how much longer Usyk will be motivated to fight. Or maybe His Excellency Turki Alalshikh called him up and advises him to go back to the gym and train for the rematch.

Usyk has to be hungry to win the rematch. He already has a reason to win the rematch because he wanted to become undisputed again at cruiserweight. Whether he can still do it or not, he has to win one fight at a time. In this fight, it's about who controls the ring. Usyk in the rematch will not just try to win rounds but to knock Fury out. He already went 12 rounds and knew he can hurt Fury. If Fury came up too heavy, maybe Usyk cannot stop him but if Fury tries to enter the rematch lighter to gain some speed, Usyk will stop him. Maybe I am feeling Fury will win because in the back of my mind I am hoping for a trilogy ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Having said that, when you put two very powerful and determined boxers in the ring, anything could happen. I do not know of Usyk will drop back down to cruiserweight, he really should be concentrating on what is ahead of him at the moment. Tyson Fury is going to come back in the ring for the rematch probably heavier than when he lost, I think it contributed to his defeat because he had to adjust with the change. I think he will be a different opponent altogether if he gets in to the ring at his usual weight. Both of them now know what the other is capable of doing therefore both have probably understood the weakness of the other. I still think if Fury were to be aggressive against Usyk the same way was against Wilder, in my opinion Fury will win. Fury has no option but to be aggressive and on the front foot in order to try to win but how will Usyk approach the fight? Usyk has to be hungry to win the rematch. He already has a reason to win the rematch because he wanted to become undisputed again at cruiserweight. Whether he can still do it or not, he has to win one fight at a time. In this fight, it's about who controls the ring. Usyk in the rematch will not just try to win rounds but to knock Fury out. He already went 12 rounds and knew he can hurt Fury. If Fury came up too heavy, maybe Usyk cannot stop him but if Fury tries to enter the rematch lighter to gain some speed, Usyk will stop him.

I think Usyk knows what Fury will bring in the second fight. Yeah, he could have beat him in the first one, but for sure, Fury as you have said will be hungry and put everything in the line here to take revenge from that devastating lost. Fury knows what went wrong in the first fight, it could be that he so light and so he might add a little weight here. Or simply just let his hands go and not second guess because he seems to be very tentative to throw it as if he was afraid of the counter.
