Bitcoin is now over decade old and is now getting mature with every passing day. The bitcoin investors are now more mature and willing to take risk as compared to 2 to 4 years back. It take time for every new idea to get acceptance.

DCA is more effective when market is down rather when market is up. One need to be careful in doing DCA, as it wont be much beneficial if you keep on buying when Bitcoin price is up.

Investing for 4 years still doesn't guarantee whether you can indeed build a house or not. As long as Bitcoin remains volatile, it's like a double-edged sword, and your plans could crumble if the prices tend to be bearish. I don't mean to scare you, but I'm just being realistic about the various possibilities that could occur.

Perhaps income from signature campaigns could help, but not everything will be well-covered by such campaigns. We can't predict how busy or slow signature campaigns will be in the future, but if you're willing to be patient for 4 years, it might cover 50% of your expenses for building a house.

Maybe he considers over a period of 1 cycle 4 years, but it depends on how much money is invested into bitcoin? House prices are now expensive so maybe this will not be easy if you only rely on bitcoin investment, there must be other income that can be saved.

You're right. Testing the waters is always a smart thing to do as it gives us the idea of what to improve and what to give up. Although some may not believe it, the reality is there are paths that do not fit or work for us. However, that shouldn't necessarily be taken as a negative thing as it also means that there are paths made just for us or it perfectly fits our skills. Sometimes those paths don't are not even part of our initial plan but they eventually make their way on our radar. Nevertheless, there is of course no reason not to try things for the sake of knowing and experience, just ensure that we are prepared for risks and are sure of our decisions and actions as we are solely responsible for those.

Crazy ambitions are only crazy for those who choose to not believe in the posibility of a person. Perhaps one day OP will prove those who have doubts, but it is also never a wrong move to take some of the criticism and opinions into consideration as OP countinues with their plan and journey.

As a newbie, starting straight from trading is not the best idea, but you can do it. But I will not suggest doing it because if you invest in Bitcoin, over the time the value will grow and while you learn how to trade the amount you have invested will continue on growing. This is why everyone will always suggest a newbie to do DCA. You keep on accumulating Bitcoin while you learn. That way you get the best of the both world. And as a beginner trader it is not guaranteed that you will always make profit. Even for professional traders, profit and loss is part of the journey.

As per OP, he gained enough knowledge in trading, meaning, he already checked the things he need to know, research has been done for the basic and such. What he needs now is experience and guidance from people who do day trading. Bitcoin investment can be done while doing trading especially DCA, mostly suggested by people as it is one of the effective way to accumulate bitcoin in bear market and while your are learning about trading. DCA will take a long time to see the expected profit, but effective enough for everyone.

Knowledge will not be enough to help you make money from trading if you do not have experience or practical skills, because when talking about trading and making money from it we need more than simply theory. Another thing is that people who start trading need to be mentally prepared that they will lose instead of making profits. I have never seen anyone start trading and be able to make a profit from it in the first years, they have to trade time and money to gain experience before making real money from it.

Not going to lie this is the best advice one can give. I have experienced this, and I can say from experience that a demo account is never the right choice. When I first start trading I had an account with thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin in demo account. I started that in order to learn but trust me it didn't go well. First I was concentrating on sticking to the rules and all of that, but those random ideas were coming in my mind. I was making more profits than loss in that demo account. So I thought why not put all of it in one go and use high leverage to see what happens. Didn't use any stop loss or any risk management whatsoever. And in that process I made a profit again. It was huge. Then I thought why not do the same thing again. So I put all of it in trade hand with the highest leverage possible. And I've lost everything. And one thing that I have noticed that the demo account does not act the same way the real crypto market does. Sometimes the price are not the same and based on your open trades it could fluctuate to give you an advantage or to put you in loss.

So there's no other way to learn to trade then using real money to get the real experience. If it was my real money then I would have never done that. But I have learned to listen from that demo account. And I still follow that rule that I have learned. You can get the idea of basic trading through demo account but not the real experience that you need in order to trade in the big market.

@OP I hope all your plan come true, it is good to invest in Bitcoin and trade but I would like to remind you that it is much better if you finish your study and if possible with flying colors.  That would be the best gift for your parents as thank you for getting you to attend school.  Aside from that since you are not that wealthy, it is best if you can establish a career path in order to get your source of income aside from trading and Bitcoin.

Trading is not all win, there are times when the market become crazy and unpredictable which may cause you lose your trades, so it is better to have a another source of income.

It will for sure because I can see the eagerness in his eyes. I have heard many stories like this which ends up as a success. Sometimes it's better if we have an inspiration and we dedicate what we are doing to our loved ones rather than to our personal self only because the effort that we can make are much better. Building a house with bitcoin & fulfilling your Mothers dream is definitely not ridiculous. If you can provide something like this for them after they made so many sacrifices to help bring you up then it is certainly not ridiculous, it’s close to heroic. If you can do that for them & yourself, you are close to putting on a cape with a bg S on the back. Just make sure you provide for yourself & any future family that you may have. I do agree that it is a noble and amazing dream and should be something that would be nice to do. I would love to do the same, well my parents own their houses so it wouldn't be to buy them a house but I would love to pay all my mothers debt. That would be great and it is not like it is a huge amount, something like a grand would help her with all her debt, probably a little lesser but I am not sure how much it is.

I try my best but life throws costs and expenses at my face every month so not only I fail to save sometimes, I actually have to sell my bitcoins to pay for them. I am still happy though, because I do not have THAT much debt left, and that means life is getting back to being much better for the past two months. After this month I think it will be doing much better.

The truth is that you joined the Bitcointalk.org forum to build your dream with some necessary knowledge and become a good contributing member.
Not just from trading Bitcoin, because you still don't have enough capital.

Improve your quality in this forum and prove that you can be a good member, then you will get the benefits.

Biasly, if that's a word I would say HODL than trading. Experience is a ruthless teacher. Except you are trading a coin like Bitcoin and not selling in a loss. Optimistically I believe its achievable but knowledge and capital matters a lot. Bitcoin ain't shitcoins that do 70% rise and 90% fall.

Yeah, when we talk about sacrifices and what our parents have done for us, normally, we don't seem to be able to repay it all. Because we also really understand that after becoming parents, even this is not much. I am not saying that you can't make enough money through bitcoin investment; it is very possible you can make reasonable profits that can build the house of your wish if you can invest a huge amount of money according to the 4 years you started, but also know that Bitcoin also involves risk, and it gets to our attention that anything can happen due to the volatility nature of Bitcoin, and again, if you are not careful enough, someone can still lose it if it is not properly secured.
 
As a newbie giving yourself some years you want to make in the crypto industry, I don't think it really works that way because even expert traders in the cryptocurrency industry cannot actually predict whether they will make much from it because nobody controls it. So if nobody controls it, how will you state the years you want to spend on the crypto industry and make it? And again, trading is not an easy way for people to make more money. If it's so, a lot of people should have become rich through trading. I will advise you not to rush to make it through the cryptocurrency industry if you regret it later.
