I am yet to see a person who made gambling his career and his source of livelihood  who is normal and celebrated. OP can you advise your child or loved one to imitate someone that lives such a lifestyle?. Of course no. There are people whom have made gambling their daily hustle  and activities, like their full time job, but I'll tell you something:
They're living in tension cos they  live a life of probability and don't know the outcome of their day's activities, so they can't plan themselves properly.

Also, they're prone to constant frustration and anger in the event of constant loss.

They are never coordinated and responsible as their minds are always fixed to game outcomes, leaving them with little or no possibility of being innovative.

They're prone to crimes as an addicted gamble can do anything to get funds to gamble, no matter what it takes him or the moral  implication of acquiring the funds.

The only set of people I see that  seems successful in gambling are scammers who don't gamble with their funds, but drop games for people to play. They give a lot of people different predictions and we know that one correct score must play and when some of their victims win, they coerce the unsuspecting people to pay a significant amount.
Secondly are those who edits betslips and convince illiterates to  patronize them to their own detriment. They don't ever play with their own cash, but preying on desperate people. They're all over Facebook, WhatsApp and telegram.

In a nutshell, gambling is not a career and should never be seen or treated as such. I gamble to ease the stress my head must have accumulated in the day or week as the spirit leads. Gambling as a career should be greatly discouraged cos it tends to produce a generation of idiots if not checkmated.

As usual, we all have our different opinions and it does matter for our own concerns and the activities we indulges in. Gambling have become one of the means of producing more money for the extra wants we see everyday. It's extremely wrong to make gambling a dependable source of income, rather it should just be for fun and not one to be in desperation to earn significant profits in the system. I think that is career in gambling which is basically not gambling but in the industry. I felt like this was more about like could you make a living by gambling itself, like you gamble and you make money that way, not what you mean.

If you are right and it means this, like could you make money by working in the gambling industry then the answer is obviously yes, you could make a big money, I know a few people who work in actual casinos and just the tips alone are bigger than my salary, those people are making my whole yearly salary in one tip from a summer month, it's real.
