Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included)

I do not know if this has been discussed before, but I want to know why most discussions on sports asides tennis is about the men's side of it and the women side is about only barely mentioned. Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors? Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?

The reason behind that is because women's sports receives  less exposure. There are some who sees women sports as unpredictable, the reason is also the same. There are a few information with women sports, less article and less exposure that makes it hard for everyone to consider betting.

I actually have watched it on live in particular with women’s basketball and things are just fine. But with betting to women’s sports, one reason I guess why I am not into such is probably the intensity of the game that I am looking for and also, the way that I know the teams with Men’s. Majority of men are involved in gambling than women, that’s why most of the gambling games are certainly for men. Although women are not limited to also play with it, but it’s the men that actually get a high winning rate when it comes to gambling. And for the gambling casinos to stay in profits, they will surely offer games where there are high interest and are mostly played by players. Otherwise, the casino will be at loss if they serve more women games than men games.

I think it mainly has to do with what is popular. If it's not popular, it's not as heavily promoted and not seen on tv. Without much promotion, it's hard for people to even know it's happening or for people to even know who the players are on a team. For example, WNBA. I couldn't tell you 1 player in the WNBA. How am I supposed to make a bet on WNBA games, if i have no clue who any of them are. Honestly, I couldn't even name more than 3 teams in the league.

People gamble on the sports they love to watch or the sports that they have a knowledge with.  Aside from that many people are following what is hot or trending, and mostly, men's sports are gathering all the attention  so people tend to be influenced by the trend.

Aside from that, just like the earlier reply, most of us here are man so we have more interest in men's sports, the reason why most of us are discussing men's matches, even in boxing and UFC threads, we seldom discuss female fights unless someone mentioned about female fights.

It's a vicious circle - you have little information because you don't watch games and read the news  I think about any competition where women participate it is easy to find any information, at least no more difficult than about some football League C. That is without a doubt a problem, if you were to ask me about my favorite sport I could probably name 50 different athletes out of the top of my head, and I could name several other athletes even from the sports I do not follow that closely, but when it comes to women sports there are hardly any highlights that are aired on TV, so you would have to go out of your way to search for them if you wanted to watch them, but when everything is so easily available now most people are not going to bother, and this creates a dynamic which does not allow women sports to become more popular and for its athletes to become more recognized.

I once placed a bet on women's football but my guess was wrong and I gave up betting on women's sports. Maybe my guess is wrong because it's just speculation, I've never watched women's football. And most people are probably the same, and it's too risky to place bets on games we don't know about

Even though there are now many women's sports, in general the competition is not yet popular. I'm not talking about gender but that's the reality. Because men's sports are more popular, of course gamblers will place their bets there

It feels like OP is new to sports betting. This is common sense IMO. I think the better question is why are women's sports not as popular as men's? Because why would people bet on a sport that they are not following? I bet regularly on e-sports, basketball, boxing, and MMA. But I haven't made a single bet throughout my life on women's basketball because I am not familiar with its players. And I am not familiar with women's basketball because I am not interested.

There are sports where I am more excited watching women though, like tennis and volleyball. Women's boxing and MMA are as exciting as men's depending on their individual fighting styles. So it really depends on someone's interest. Generally, men's sports are more popular than women's sports. But I believe women's sports are growing since more countries and people are more aware of gender equality.

The skill level is not as high in women's sports as in men's. Aside from a few high level tournaments like the World Cup, most women's soccer matches will be very lopsided so the betting odds will not be to attractive. Women are biologically weaker than men so watching them in combat sports is boring because you rarely see dramatic knockouts. Tennis is one of the few women's sports that is compelling enough to consider wagering on because there is a deep enough talent pool to make it competitive.

I may have an objection to your presumption that women's games are unattractive in terms of odds and the rest of this may not be true because there have not been any differences in odds allocation to both male and female games and at that, we should be able to give women a plus because of you have been following their games, you do realize that, in women matches,  they seem to be higher goals scores in total in each match and that goes a long way to prove how contending women football matches could be compared to male games were one can easily speculate the outcome even before the march begins.
I have luck on betting on women's games and that is based on the fact that i always use the c/4 to analyse the games, this formula is designed by me organically and i have tried it on two or three games and it works fine and The reason why I still use it, but just that we can't have an accurate analysis of game all the time since we still rely on luck in most cases when it comes to gambling.

You tried to show some difference between men and women but I think there is not much difference. However, there are many reasons why people are interested in making general bets in sports. For example, I see men play more in sports betting because they are more skilled in the game, while women play, but most probably there is no competition in their game. If there is no rivalry in the game and no hard fought game then the game will not be enjoyable to watch. I also bet on the women's game but have found that they are not very good and if one of my bets goes down with a team especially for cricket then that team can't come back up. On the other hand, betting odds vary widely between men, which is why I tend to bet more on men's games.

I'm lowkey following tennis for women's. I'm yet to discover the whole thing about it but all I can say is that I am enjoying the matches whether it's singles or doubles.

Probably it's just because it's in the nature of men that we're into sports. But not discriminating with that opinion because we're starting to see the interest for women in different sports is growing and that's why maybe in just a few more couple of years we'll have more sports dominated by women. I think there is nothing to do with whether your bets are easier to win in men's sport than in women's. It's just all about that we've been into contact sports like boxing, football, basketball, hockey as all of those are contact and physical sports and we're not used to see women playing those sports. Anyway, I am sure that many of the co-gamblers here are also into those sports not just for how they know they are but also how interesting they are with their own respective sports that most of them participates.

I think that most well reputable casinos offer odds for women soccer sports but the fact that most people do not bet on them is that they score loads of goals,the odds are really low as the difference and quality of the teams is huge at least in the national teams.For the clubs I don't know if they are offered the odds but I have seen that they are in some cases and again the reason why most people do not bet on such events is that they have not enough information as they have for men football which they watch on TV every weekend,no one watches women games and that must be the reason why not many people bet on these events.

Yes, I don't bet on women's matches either but maybe we will watch women's matches, especially if there are a lot of beautiful women competing hahaha.
