Don't get attached to the game. This is why the motto of "Gamble what you can afford to lose." should be strengthened because this is one of the ways we can exit from a loss, forget it, and move on after setting an amount that we will play for the day. Regarding wins, it can also be used, by setting an amount of winning prize like x2 or x3 then we exit too. Imagine winning $50 from a $1 bet. Ain't that already an exit point? But many gamblers are too greedy that they like to test their luck and keep on playing which we all know is a losing side at the end of the day.

Recently I didn’t win $500 because besides all the outcomes that I guessed, also there was City vs Wolves and they lost it. It is not a new thing to me that gamblers always have a high expectation for the potential winning they always see on their tickets, despite knowing that there is no assurance they will win. But I view those who are always relying on the tickets that they have not won as those who don't have another source of income and expect gambling or are gambling addicted. BTW, I don't know what gambling your friends are playing. However, it seems that this type of exercise is the most ideal. and that too with various options for each betting session.
