Many people will complain about Nigeria because we are in the era that people prefer to depend on government than themselves. They want the government to do everything for them. To provide to good job, and if possible, to subsidize some products and services.

In Nigeria, you will see people from poor background that become rich and become well known in his town. If that is still possible, it means many people will complain, but some people will still live a good life.

As some people are complaining, in the same Nigeria some people are earning on foreign currencies like United States dollar and some people are still living comfortably.

Some people will not just get it but be complaining and explaining how a situation is. Yes, I agree to the fact that Nigeria economy and standard of living is poor.

So Nigeria has now become a family inheritance whereby people now think that there are certain groups of person that should be rotating the leadership of the country.

Imagine some government officials now take leadership as a permanent contract that they will remain in office for a very long time without allowing others to participate in leadership. Now what is the fate of the younger generation like is it when they will get old that they will take part in the leadership of the country? Things keeps getting worst everyday from one sad news to the other no one will be happy in such situation.

Inasmuch as people are also making efforts to make things work in this country, our government should also put her citizen in consideration when taking decisions that will affect her citizens. Everyone hopes to live a good life and a good environment so a situation where a citizen feels that their country isn't conducive for them again they will literally begin to lament about their country.

The thing is that all the these things that are happening in our country didn't start today but longtime ago that the government then the border to pit a stop to this corrupt practices which today it has become something so big that it is so difficult for the country to be in a good shape. The problem naija is having is that it is not just only the politicians are the problem of the country but the judiciary are also corrupt too, when the judiciary don't know the right thing to do that means it is impossible for politicians to do right thing. It's regrettable for anyone too be born in Nigeria today, because most of the problems in the country are related. Economically not promising and most of the people are suffering here causing the most problems in the country. Also, if you look at different parts of my country, people are not getting food, clothing, shelter. Every day a large number of people beg on the streets just to provide themselves with food, but here it is seen that the government does not take any action towards it. People don't have shelter All in all the poor people of our country are facing most of the problems, and they are suffering a lot due too lack of food, still the government is not doing anything about it. That is why we should inform the government about these issues and the leaders who are in the area must take good steps for these poor people. If the government takes all these steps and resolves everything, then surely Nigeria can be a well-developed country and move ahead economically in the future.

• salary earner/civil servants: due to the inflation in naija, price of things don increase and no upgradment of civil servants pay, but things dey expensive, sometimes month never end money don finish.

Even me wey dey talk the country tire me because I go buy something today for market the next week price don increase, and the thing dey amaze me sometimes I go dey wonder. But we still dey manage for the country.

I find it funny how Nigerians see themselves and their nation compared to how other African countries see us when they come to Nigeria. I have watched several seminars and interviews of successful business owners from all  over Africa, and one common thing they all said was how they admire the “hustle” spirit of Nigerians. Recent studies shows that Nigeria have the highest number of educated immigrants in the US. Nigerians produces the top foreign students in most UK and Canadian universities.  What then is wrong with Nigeria? Why will someone regret being a Nigerian?

The simple answer is failure of leadership. Chinua Achebe uses this opening stanza of William Butler Yeats’s poem “The Second Coming,” where he quoted  , "when the centre cannot hold, things fall apart ". The success of every nation begins and ends in leadership. Any country that failed to get their leadership right is doomed to fail on all sides.

If we get the leadership right,  Nigeria will be so transformed that those abroad will be tempted to return to Nigeria. We should not give up on the country.

I don't blame those set of people who think that it is a very bad idea to be a citizen of Nigeria just because of the present situation..... In Nigeria, our government has crippled this country because we citizens are so relaxed and not working together (but even if we do, what difference?). Nigeria is a good and beautiful country that has what other countries do not have. It is a good thing to be a good Nigerian citizen, just like how other people from different countries imagine if they are from Nigeria.

Nigeria is a wonderful country but just that we aren't helping ourselves mostly the corruption side and the jobless side of it, all the leaders only thinks about their selves and that's bad.

Due to the level of corruption and bad government, lack of job opportunities and many others, a lot of people are beginning to complain about the country, well I don't blame them for their complaints because a lot of citizens don't even enjoy their fundamental human rights even while being patriotic citizens of this country but people should understand that Nigeria is not the worst country in the world.

 Despite the hardship and lootings by our government I'm still proud to be a Nigerian and I'll rather come from Nigeria than many other countries iwhere there's no peace, for example Iraq, Somalia, North Korea, Dr Congo, Sudan, Yemen, Mexico, Central Africa, Afghanistan and many others. Atleast after the civil war in the 60's we've not experienced another civil war  but there are countries that's been a war year in year out, countries like Syria and Iraq yet people still exist there.

 I think if our government could change their bad governance and begin to lead by example, also creating job opportunities, build good roads and infrastructures, restructure our educational system, I think most citizens who's been forced into the streets to commit crimes for survival would begin to change and our country would get better, Nigeria is a country blessed by our maker with so many rich natural resources that could make us compete with developed nations but then bad governance lead us to this point and forced youths to go into various crimes. Well I still believe change is coming and our country would go back to being the giant of Africa.

Na because the government no dey like support good things wey person get for the country dem bad belle too much,dem no want make people grow mainly the youths , teenagers and even small Pikin. If you get good skills and innovation ,dem go kill am for you ,or oppress you collect am from you, come dey go front am sey na dem get am. Why people think is a mistake to be a Nigeria is because of some certain attitude exhibited by Nigerians. This attitude has brought many negative effect on us, both locally and internationally this things they do made many people to regret why they are called Nigerians but I believe In Due time Nigeria will take it shapes in.

There can be some many reasons why people will think is a mistake to be a Nigerian, first looking at the country situation now year after year instead of things to get better it is getting worst cost of things are high cost of foodis high, transportation is high, infact everything in the country is very high as it stands now.

Secondly the high rate of insecurity in the country is much in everyday news one will hear how to boko haram are killing people kidnapping here and there.

Lastly I know that there is no country that is not corrupt but Nigeria own too much, ok just imagine what our judiciary did concerning the judgement of the last concluded election why won't people think is a mistake to be a Nigerian?.
