What does being rich mean in your perspective?

We often hear the word rich, and our immediate thought is money. However, I know for others, being rich goes beyond just financial wealth. For me, and I'm sure you won't deny it, it's about having a substantial amount of money or owning numerous assets and enough money to meet basic needs and desires. As a parent, having enough money to provide for my children's necessities like food, clothing, and shelter, as well as the ability to send them to good schools, is crucial.

I believe that financial security, the ability to afford a comfortable lifestyle, and the freedom to live life to the fullest are essential aspects that bring joy and fulfillment.

Thumbs up for this one. The first thing that comes to our mind when we hear the word "rich" is all about having lots of money and I agree with that, for me, it should be being financially secure, meaning you have an investment, some business, asset and also if you're not living paycheck to paycheck. having a large income doesn't mean you're rich, especially if you're living paycheck-to-paycheck. You may consider yourself a rich person when you can afford to have a lifestyle that you want without needing a job when you are your own boss and not beholden to an employer, and when you're free to do what you want. One thing that I also consider being rich is having good health, a comfortable life, and stable mental health.

One's ability to live life comfortably and get whatever he wants to get with the resources he or she has is what I call being rich. Now, make no mistake about this, this definition is beyond money as money is a currency, so is a reputation, and other moral values one upholds at every point in his life. If you can survive with these individual currencies without begging someone else for assistance, I can liken you to a rich fellow.

I have been seeing quotes about being rich and being wealthy. While being rich can make you have that financial freedom but they say that it's not for so long and it's just all about money.

And being wealthy should be the goal of many because it's for long term growth and financial freedom and your wealth can be grown over the period of time without you have the need to work.

Anyway, in all sums up with the common denominator of what being rich and wealthy is and it's all about having lots of money.

I'm surprised to see people say rich is someone who don't have to work, buy anything without see the tag, and can travel freely. I don't think such person exist except you're the son of billionaire e.g. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos etc. When you're already mature and your rich father want to give his business to you, even the business is autopilot but every important decision will be made by you.

You still need to work, even not in the business.

My personal definition of rich is having a source of income that is able to meet your needs over a long period of time. For example, a month's salary can cover a maximum of 1/2 year's needs. Because what you need to pay attention to is that sufficiency has various versions. So if someone still feels that the income they generate is not sufficient for their needs, it means that someone is not included in the rich category. What is meant by rich is financial stability where social status applies, so it depends on the environment in which one lives.

It's a different story if there is a group of rich people in the same environment but each has a different portion of income. It is difficult to determine who is rich because everyone considers themselves richer than others.

Financial success, individual freedom, and the fulfillment that comes from leading a life authentic to oneself are all components of richness. That's just me, though! So it's not really about the money for me, as long as I survive in this world with a comfortable life, I wouldn't be chasing a lot of money as I also like to retire spending time with my family, just be happy, I think that would make you rich already.

Even Steve Jobs, in his statement he regret working to hard that he sacrifice his happiness already.

"I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes my life is an epitome of success.
However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

Many of these people who flaunt their wealth in public are living troubled and sad lives in secret. This is why I pity people who compare themselves with others because of material things. When I visit some of the poorest areas in my country, I see happy people who are content with what they have. I see husbands hugging and laughing with their wives and children playing joyfully with their parents, they are enjoying the riches that money cannot buy.

Yes in general it is like that, where wealth is our better living conditions than before, not feeling afraid in terms of basic needs in the long run, all needs will be easily met because we have above-average financial strength. For the problem of debt I agree with that, most of the time there is no pressure that we or they will feel the impact of debt itself, but for the problem of disease in my opinion is not included here, the disease will not see who the person is and whether the person is rich or not, still the disease is very likely to attack, this is more on a healthy lifestyle. Because it is not uncommon for us to see many rich people who turn out that one of the families has a fairly severe illness, so this is more about managing a healthy lifestyle even though basically they are sufficient for medical problems.

It is clearly different from those criminals in terms of finance, logically if they are rich people who are well-off then there is no way they will commit crimes such as theft and so on, one of their reasons in general is usually to fulfill their personal needs, they do it because they feel unable to change their own lives through the process as in general.

Rich can be defined differently from different perspectives as well. Many view wealth from the point of view of the price/asset owned by a person or from a financial point of view.
Not arrogant, for me rich is when I need something easy to be realized. That is broad meaning, rather than being too complicated in explaining, the wealth that I am maximum is as long as I can bring happiness, that is the real wealth.

Some people claim to be rich but if you look the people around them expecially family members you found no trace of richness. Personally, I think being rich equates to achieving financial freedom. Of course, having a lot of assets and investments and free from all debts are also included on this. But for me, the best way to describe a rich person is someone who does not have to worry about money anymore. Because he is aware that he is already financially capable and stable. For me being rich, is not always defined by the materials things that we see, like having luxurious house and expensive cars. Because there are rich people who are not into material things and that they prefer simple things. I think being rich also talks about sustainability, if the future of your family is already secured in terms of education and their quality of life, and that you know that it will last for lifetime, then I think you should be considered as rich by then.

This is a simple question but the answer is complex. We, who are common people, can define wealth differently. To be rich, I don't just emphasize money, but I think it is also necessary to have knowledge. But most people would think that having lots of money is the only way to be rich. That is, a person is considered rich if he is able to do whatever he wants with money. Everyone has different opinions on being rich in fact my assessment is that being rich means having enough left over after meeting your needs enough to make one's life relatively comfortable or enough to make one's life less uncomfortable. We can think about being rich financially, healthy, belonging to a wide social circle of friends, by being a popular individual, by being successful on the professional field chosen to work on, by having the love of the woman of your dreams or just by being in peace with yourself and with the philosophy of life you chose for yourself. There isn't a right answer for this question, as it will be always subjective depending the aspect we are talking for and the people you are asking to.

In my perspective, I consider all the categories mentioned above as meanings of being a rich individual.

Riches is subjective to people, some people think been rich is by displaying wealth, live a lavish lifestyle and display all kinds of stuff, that's not what been rich is to me but at the end, as it is a intuitive phase that we all view differently.

Being Rich means you have wealth and by wealth you have assets, you have investment and you have power to say yes and no through influencing. Look at Elon Musk today, he has the money and he has the power at the same time, having X as an investment was another logic trick to gain more power, that is what been rich is all about.

When you are rich without power, you can't do much because even the wealth around you can be surpress down by cabals who don't like and vibe you, this happens every where, even politically people can get on your toes. The only way to remain a wealthy and rich person is to have money(liquid) + investment and Assets, that's what definition is to me.
