As a gambler, it's normal for us to bet again just to recover the previous loss. As long as you are betting on a small amount that you find comfortable to lose, that's okay.  But if you keep on betting again  despite of your consistent losses and even increase your bet, that signals that you are becoming an addict if you cannot control your gambling urge. To gamble is obviously to lose your money, so if you bet thrice or more without winning, then that's already enough. Call it a day and stop betting.

Gambling is obviously to entertain us, but when greed comes in, it becomes more than just an entertainment but also to earn a living. When you start experiencing that feeling, stop gambling immediately. It will never be good for you in the long run.

You are not an addict and what had cause your loses could be not planning at all before you go into gambling. You need to make a plan and keep to the kind of bet you intend to bet on. Loses is normal as a gambler and not preparing for it may cause you loses. You need to know the kind of bets that would guarantee your winnings because this will help you to earn from betting. You were lead to gamble and you were never prepared that is why you made such loses. At this point of experience, from your own perspective, I can say you played the second round out of curiosity. If for a long time you have not used your casino app and you just did that for the first time and you lost, then out of curiosity you funded your wallet again to try it again, that is no issue, but when you continue to play it again and again while funding it out of your planned budget, then I can tell you it is you chasing your loss, and then we can say you are getting addicted, but it is not the right thing to do, mate.

From your comments, I suspect that the reason why you overfunded your account was because you were bored. You just wanted to reduce your boredom by engaging in something entertaining. You are not a gambling addict yet but if you continue this way you might end up having a gambling disorder. Your ability to stop and identify that you have exceeded your limit shows that you are still in control of your gambling habit. You wouldn't have created this thread to seek opinions if you were already addicted. You would have just continued with the unhealthy gambling habit.  

But it is advisable to gamble within your budget and avoid the temptation to exceed your betting limit. And if you are idle and want to engage in something entertaining, you can choose to watch interesting movies, read books, take a walk, or play computer games.

Like others mentioned, you got caught up in the game and wanted to deposit more money to keep playing. It's common when you run out of funds while enjoying interesting casino games to feel tempted to deposit more. This might be a step toward addiction, but not entirely. You will definitely become an addict in the long run if you keep on chasing for your losses even if you know gambling is all about luck and probability. But for now, I can see that its normal for a gambler to lose, but what is abnormal is when you keep on betting without getting any dime and you still chose to continue betting and increase your losing bets. That is why never bet on games that you are not familiar or good at it. Even though gambling is all about luck, but if you also gamble with skills, the chances to win is higher compared on losing. You are not that right man, I wasn't chasing a loss, I just don't know when I fund my betting account the second time (it's funny though).
If an addicted gambler is trying to chase a loss, he/she is providing more chances for him/her to lose more to the ones he/she has lost previously, it is easy to lose a bet but a bit hard to win and winning is not all the time in gambling. However, I didn't increase my stake. I was just staking the same amount all though, but now I am beginning to think that it might be because I was so bored that's why I did fund another to my betting account.

That is true, depositing twice in a day is not yet to be categorized that she is becoming an addict.
But she needs to be aware of her spending habits because that may be a start of her gambling journey.
Thinking of recovering such losses is one way to be addicted in this game. And if she will do it over and over again,
she will notice that she won't be using 10 bucks anymore but higher amount and the frequency would be more often.
So yes, it may be a start if she doesn't set her limits and be out of control later on with her betting habits.

Ask yourself for the second time if depositing is going to make you happier regardless of the result or this is just going to give you another burden thinking of a regret that you shouldn't have done that in the first place. To answer your question straight, Yes! It's a sign that you're becoming an addict. Depositing money to gamble is normal but losing money and then immediately depositing more money again is a sign that you are chasing your losses or perhaps you are losing control of your gambling behavior. You may not find it easy to admit that you might have a problem just like you are feeling now but I think you can correct that since you have recognize the signs. Gambling is supposed to be fun and entertaining but If it's starting to feel stressful or you're losing control of your spending then, it's time to take a step back.

It is bad to start gambling in this manner, one of the way of losing in gambling is trying to win a game by all means. Even if someone make a multiple deposits above twice a day, that hasn't made him an addicts and at some point we have to come go the point that we make a clear standing among ourselves, and what makes one become addicted at some point also, because I have experienced a particular pattern before, where I thought that I was going too much simply because I made deposits almost 4 times within a day.


Although I blame myself for having done that despite having the risk of losing that amount at some points, but also a lot of us have made such decisions before all innthe name of chasing a particular direction or trying to chase losses in a day by trying more games.

It could be because you were trying to chasing after the first deposit, you thought perhaps a rollover might help you get back the first bet but along the way, you lose the second bet. It might also be that you are been boredom that's why you gamble twice. When there is nothing to do at home, some silly thoughts do disturb the mind that you even make some drastic decision without knowing when it happen.

If this is actually your first time doing this, then it's not an addiction; you were just in some state of excitement in my assumption, and that was the reason why you can't remember funding the account for the second time. I would have said you are becoming addicted if you had funded your betting account for the third time, the fourth time, and the fifth time, until all the money in your bank is lost. I believe you already know the characteristics that gambling addicts have, and if you find yourself having all  of those characteristics apart from the ones you just talked about, then you should know for yourself what it is.

You have to balance otherwise it will be too long to fund a lot of accounts in gambling rather than accounts for other purposes, if you overall in one day only spend $20 it is not too big but if you do it every day it is clear that this habit is very bad and should not be continued that surely you must know the limits to what extent to spend the bankroll for gambling.

You are not becoming an addict, OP. You simply got hooked up and wanted more of thrill from that session, I believe it is something which has happened to all of us at least once.
It happened to me one day I decided to roll dices with a small budget, but the session did not last much because of my bad luck, so I felt tempted to break my own budget so I could continue to roll dices, in your case, the fact you were feeling explicitly bored that day did not help you to realize you were depositing more than you initially expected to.
So, do not worry, you are not becoming an addict, you just lost track of what you were going, for the sake of some entertainment. Next time, just do not let your mind to go full in automatic mode, otherwise in enough time and enough money you may indeed lost control over your habit.

No, it can't be considered as gambling addiction, you just enjoyed playing. Well, its good that after two consecutive losses you've stopped, which's a good indicator that you still have self control. You maybe have some money still. It not too big and you it controlled yourself. As you said, you are not a regular gambler, which is fine and normal as you are not used to the game you're playing, so it's okay you can earn what you've lost, just don't follow other lose bets. Take it easy. if not bad to sometimes play randomly even if you are not familiar with the game, and you just do it to past time. I often do that. If I'm bored, I bet on sports betting even though I'm not familiar with the game or with the players, so even if I lose the money, I will not be hurt as it is just a small portion of my money.
