I have a friend and he is also a bitcoin investor for the past 2 years, he has been continuously accumulating bitcoins whenever possible, and he told me that. He will only get married when bitcoin reaches 40k$, he will sell some bitcoin to build a house and then get married (he already has a girlfriend). So I won't be surprised or feel strange if one day he comes to this forum and shares about it. So I believe what OP said and it's a true story.

Although in this case I don't really like the way you seem to impose because I think what you are doing is gambling not investing, but indeed the good end result is worth congratulating especially the results of the profits that you use for your biological needs when you decide to start a family.

He took a risk and got lucky. I don't see why a ton of forum members have an issue with how he made the money though.  In hindsight, everyone who owns bitcoin has a thing for the economy side of things as well in that we all want the price to go up. Certainly, not everyone would invest around the same time he was fortunate to do so just before the uphill in price. A win is a win in my opinion. Even the institutional investors we are hoping to come in through the ETF approval with only do so for the economic benefits.

Hey bro you seem to be making me look bad as if forbidding what the OP did. You should take a look at my previous thread because I also have no problem with it and indeed for the benefits obtained when doing it is very good but it is not an investment if we refer to the situation and conditions that are done if we talk about the investment perspective.
One more thing, I never felt that I don't want bitcoin to go higher regardless of the ETF or whatever it is because it is the hope of everyone when who is in bitcoin certainly wants profit but when talking about investment and the steps taken by doing schemes like this I don't like it. Sometimes people seize the opportunities presented to them. Perhaps they hadn't planned to get married until the OP earned a decent income from his investment. But since the opportunity came, the marriage happened. I think we should just be happy with that and not question whether the story is true or not, as surely the OP would not claim it's just a made-up story.

If you consider it a merit farming story, simply refrain from giving merits. Why is the merit system such a significant issue, anyway? Some members with extra merits might even give them for non-substantial posts, or even to posts from signature campaigns receiving weekly payments. Why not question that as well?

Congratulations on your wedding ceremony OP. I must say that you're lucky because you have benefited your bitcoin investment that much compared to other investors who have no plans of selling and taking profits because they still want to hold their coins for long term  to maximize their future gains. There's no wrong with it as long as you don't have immediate needs for your investment profits so holding for long term is the best option.

However, on part of OP, his satisfaction is already met because he was able to utilize his profits on the most important event of his life. But I also believe that buying back again when there is Bitcoin market crash is the best decision. He should learn to reinvest everytime he decides to sell because that's the only way he will continue to expect for future profits with bitcoin most especially when the market turns bullish.

That is some serious decision if you ask me. If he has been buying for two years now, that should keep him I huge profits already and the amount should have been big enough to afford a wedding and still have some balance to continue building his Bitcoin asset. Maybe he is not ready to marry yet else he would have already started the process as Bitcoin is $3k away from his benchmark of $40k.

It is actually good to see that people are beginning to plan with Bitcoin money of which the successes of these plans will attract more people to Bitcoin. Maybe I have to set a target for myself and start buying and accumulating Bitcoin towards it.

Doesnt matter on which we do able to get those marrigage expenses and its not of our hell of a business on where did he get whether on Bitcoin investment or not.
Important thing is that he do able to hit up that kind of budget came from his investment earnings or profits which it is really that a good news. Its a double win actually on which having a marrigage with your loved one
and having the same time on making profits which everything is really that been arranged accordingly. I dont really see for the story had been made and it doesnt really necessarily to show up some proofs that it is really that indeed came from Bitcoin investment. Absolutely OP is a lucky person because the price of Bitcoin has been going up ever since he invested. There are many investors who have to wait for a long time after investing but OP has managed to do that very quickly. I think OP is more pleasure with that. If he had to wait for a long time, he might not have been able to enjoy this time. On the one hand he has profited and on the other hand he is completing his marriage. That is literally the point of investing, where you are trying for your money to work for you so that in the future you will have extra money for any plans you have. If your friend has been accumulating for almost 2 years already, for sure he already has enough funds cause if I remember correctly Bitcoin for the last months was stable at $20k, now if his consistent for sure he could already get married. But yeah, we all have different target prices for selling Bitcoin, cause if he's also planning to build a house, you really need to ensure your funds for a long-term investment so it would reach the price that you could already afford building your own house and get married. At least your friend was planning to secure his funds as well as their shelter before being committed to a relationship. But I also support his reply, cause some of us here in the forum share some kind of positive effects story of Bitcoin just to farm merit.

I guess you're from india op and I've always loved to visit India if I could and I'm wishing you a happy married life and many more marital bliss and fruitfulness.
And I could only imagine the joy you already have and bitcoin and the forum has been very helpful as well as help so many lives in the past and most times I don't blame people who don't buy when price dips because I've done a personal survey from one of my previous surveys about why people aren't holding  and I've concluded that lack of money to buy is the major reason why people aren't holding but I wish you left it much longer until next year would have been better and always remember to adjust your stop loss always to avoid losing profits accomolated when the price turns against you.

I think there is more than one reason for people to not be able to hold their assets long enough so that they can get more profits. Not having enough finances to manage things is one of the reasons that make people sell their assets before time, and some people make investments for shorter terms so that they can get some profits which is enough for them, this is just what OP has done with his assets, he invested and sold his assets as long as he saw he is getting enough profits that he can use for something very useful in his life.

So it depends on one's financial goals and targets, if they are okay with less profits, they will sell their assets as soon as they see some profits because they might think it's enough for them even if the market is not on its peak and they don't care about that because they have already achieved their desired target.

op you are very lucky to be able to buy bitcoin at a cheap price of around $25k and coincidentally after you buy btc the price of btc goes up and I think you are very lucky op. but if you buy when the BTC price is less than $25k I think you will get an even bigger profit.
