Absolutely. Future is uncertain, so it is better to start saving as soon as possible, just in case. I see how friends of mine spend all the money they earn every month because they "don't work all day to want something and not buy it", but I'm happy valuing immaterial things, and trying to achieve financial freedom someday.

In the end you end up liking the stoic taste taken in the act of holding back yourself and saving or investing instead of spending. Dreaming with future promises is something very pleasurable too.

There should always be considerations for needs. Wants can be skipped but needs are necessary and can’t survive your investment without having obstacles if you have no any way to get money to take care of your needs so that you will not temper with your investment.

I am not bothered if I don't buy whatever I want right now, there are things I need today but I postponed everything to 2025 max, I believe I will be able to afford everything I want at that time when the bull market comes, so now I keep investing with every money I can and I don't let what I need sway me away from investing.

Did you say the same thing when ATH was still in process in 2019-2020, and it became a bear market that made everyone want to buy more and hold firmly until the 3rd Halving in 2021 reached ATH $68k?

The cycle is the same and many people are already taking advantage of that last ATH.
But if this is your first investment and your first experience of Bitcoin Halving, then it would be very good to continue.
No matter what you want to buy, you still hold it until the new ATH is reached, and you have a lot of profit to buy everything later.

That's a good attitude of optimism, with having clear goals and when you should sell.

This is the pressure that we get from the society and of course the current trend.
I’m guilty for this since I do save a lot for the future of my family to the point that I’m forgetting to live the moment and spend more time with my family. Well, this is pretty normal if you are not that financially prepared but that is ok because all our hard work will paid of and time will come that all our dreams will come true.

I don't think so, I've never lived too simply to not buy the things I want, especially for basic necessities and other needs such as clothes and accessories. I live moderately but not excessively. To be able to invest we need to save from our monthly income, I don't really force myself to save, I usually appreciate myself when I have finished tiring work, this sometimes makes my enthusiasm return quickly after being tired of working

For me, enjoying life is important, because being too forced to save will make us stressed and unable to enjoy life. It's a good idea for us to think about earning more income so we can save money without having to live too simply

Yes, I do, like so much even. I believe in "giving up your youth for your future" and that is probably the project life I'm still living. But there are extremes to which such things can go.

The first would be your health. This is an international board so many of you here may not know what "Garri" is. It's kinda like a flake/ grain made out of cassava, mostly produced and eaten in Nigeria. So, there was this time, not long ago when I was bent on saving money " for my future" and I deprived myself of proper food only to eat cassava grains (literally all day on some days) and it got to the point where I started feeling continuous stomach ache. I was scared cause I couldn't pick between appendix, diabetes, or ulcer but I knew I was feeling the symptoms of something.

So, I had a meeting with myself and asked one question " If I eventually developed one of these three things in my system, would my future self be happy with me?" Of course, the answer was no. As much as you want to save and invest in your future, I don't think we should disregard some things. Apart from eating healthy, I believe disregarding things like buying books and appearing nice shouldn't be disregarded either, attending parties and occasions ( which can earn you connections and alumni ) shouldn't be overlooked also.

All in all, instead of making extreme sacrifices, investing in your present is probably the best way of investing in your future, and always asking yourself if your future self would be happy and proud of you before making any decision is also very important.

No, I don't feel like that. I've learned to balance things up. I invest awhile, wait for its dividends to come and then spend it on pressing needs. Take time off busy schedules and relax. We should learn how to ease off from time to time, after all no one will have all they planned to achieve accomplished. Even when you record tremendous success, you will want to embark on another. That's the whole makeup of man. Man likes conquering new territories and breaking limits; except for the unambitious ones. We should learn how to live life for its present time while also project a bit for the future. We shouldn't completely sacrifice our today for tomorrow. No one is promised tomorrow, like Akon the musician, would say.

Ambition factor, if we get one we want two. but unfortunately they don't have time to take care of themselves, even their family and health. Oh yes. I have a friend who often says, don't give your money to the doctor (for treatment) when you are unwell, but use it for you and your family and I have this good advice. In as much you see the reality of death and people are dying daily and you don't know when it is going to come to you but it is the reality that it will come, so you need to also balance your life. In other words, you have to live for today to see tomorrow. Don't put yourself under pressure to save and plan for tomorrow because pressure also is not good for your health. If you allow your health to detiorate, it means you won't be able to continue even in the future.

So in as much you are planning for the future, also make the best of today. A good life also keeps you for tomorrow. Planning for future is good but depriving yourself of today is bad and balancing your life is better.

Most of the people are doing this like they just think for the future but make their present upset but I think that if you cannot afford present expenses then you should not invest any amount because by doing so you are not only making yourself upset but your family also become unsatisfied.

For investment that money should be used which are not for general use and you feel that it will not be used in coming days or month. It is true that with investment you will earn more and will make all your dreams come true but it is also true that if on time dreams remains incomplete then after specific age there is no need to have that in life.

It is a very easy trap to fall in. Spending patterns can change throughout your life however and I'd recommend to anyone to spend money more freely when you're younger. On experiences and travelling which can really help broaden your mind, which in turn can increase your knowledge. It can get harder to do certain things as you get older, so hoarding money until you retire can lead to great regrets. Everyone has a different journey and spending power, so it's hard to give advice that will fit everyone, but it's always good to save instead of spending of frivolous items and services.

Honestly, if only we could take out a minute and reflect on life issues and the vicissitudes there are, most of us will be greatly humbled by the nothingness of our existence. I laugh whenever I see people boast of material acquisitions while their families are in ruins because they abandoned them to penury.

Just do not overthink it too much. The more you think about your past and future the more you ruin your present. It is a fact and it is 100% true. But it only applies when you overthink. Thinking about future is what people do in order to achieve success. I'm thinking about past helps people to judge their action and also helps them stay away from making the same mistake. Only when you overthink it, it becomes a problem.

Plan out few steps ahead of you but not the whole journey. You may not get the experience that you have expected for because nothing ever goes as planned. We do mistakes, we learn and move on to do something better than that. If you get lost in your own thoughts, no one will ever be able to take you out from that ocean. Better to enjoy with what you have and in future if it gets bigger, you get to enjoy more. That's how life should be.

The future comes after the present passed and most people live in the present but they are worried about the future without knowing whether they will see the future or not. These types of people do not take any enjoyment from the present and save money. They eat less, work hard, enjoy less, and spend a small amount of money because they have a misconception about what will they do in the future. I sometimes guide these types of people who do not worry about future things that are going on now and will also be going on in the future maybe it will be better than this and no one saw the future so you take worries above the future. I enjoy every moment of life and also try to make sure that save/invest for the future. I try to strike a balance such that I do not overspend money while trying to feel alive living, and do not focus too much on saving and investing that I neglect myself from living and engaging in activities good to keep body and soul together.

I have a very active social life, but I do not waste money on living and on excesses, everything is done on a budget, and only after my basic needs have been attended to.

In as much as saving and investing for the future is good, it should not deprive you of all the things and activities you need to involve yourself with in other to be happy, am only against reckless spending, we should be minimal in spending, and you should not invest all your income for the future, that won't be considered as a wise act, what if in the process of investing and saving for the future you die, what will be your benefit, am of the opinion that we should invest and use little for ourselves, no one can predict his or her tomorrow, just try to save the little you can, as parents I know that it is not easy to see your children suffer, but preparing them for the future is not only by saving and investing for them, because if you don't give them orientation, everything you built will be brought to zero, the task ahead may be so heavy for them to comprehend and withstand.

Super obvious point would be its possible to do many things without money.   We're in a conspicuous consumption society for many years now so the mindset is you must spend wages as much as possible or you dont even exist but its really not true.
  Thats all I'm reading from that, to save money I would suggest you take away a percentage for the house mortgage or whatever and not consider it as possible money to spend.  It does save you expense in the end as renting is usually more expensive etc.  just walking in a field is free but boring to some I guess :p   Some people live near no fields at all, being grateful for simple things is a literal life skill imo cant be overrated.

I believe that it depends on who you live your life for in the end. I mean I am married, hopefully I want to have kids in the future as well, which means that I will not live my life for myself which means that I can save and invest for the future and I can miss all my life and juat ignore everything else. If I live poorly and leave a ton of money to my kids then ı will consider that a life lived good. I believe that living excess is useless, what am I suppose to do with a billion dollars for example? Like what am ı suppose to buy? But if I can leave money for my kids then I will be very happy about it for sure.
