My approach is different and I am not the same just as the people that you have mentioned. But I have seen that attitude towards receiving salary and spending it asap just because they want to. In my past job like more than a decade ago, I have got colleagues that are like that. They bought new shoes, newest gadget, etc. You know all of those stuff, that do not appreciate in value. It is more of their wants than their needs and they spend like there is no more tomorrow and that is because they are thinking that payday is going to come within a few days until it becomes a habit which is hard to change.

People have different needs and people have different perspectives on their money, people who solely live on their own have fewer things needed but others have families so the number of foods, stocks and needs increase as per requirement for their sustainability. Its still good if your country is the one keeps exporting this makes your country increase the GDP or the economy due to a number of demands of your product but other than that this could lead to the number of hoarding if the product is too much demand for used. Usually things like that can happen because it is a need or it is just a desire. Some people have a monthly shopping agenda where when they get a salary they will do some monthly shopping for their daily needs that month. Some people tend to have a desire and when they get a salary, it is like they have the authority to achieve their desire.
