I think the main purpose of KYC isn't like that but it is to reduce the rate of money laundering and other nefarious acts that can possibly occur inside the platform. Multi-accounting is still a shady doing and there is a purpose on why someone can do this. It can be to abuse a bonus for example. Having a KYC can still cover it though.
