I can't believe with those examples that you've given but about the dreams, I remember Joseph the Dreamer in the bible where he helped the king on what's about to come to them.

I guess if you're into religion and you believe in dreams, there's also a chance that it can happen with gambling and predict the lottery winning numbers or even sports betting. Who knows? We've got playful minds.

But with this octopus, I have never heard of it and that's a real crazy and unbelievable story.

Haha, well those are definitely some pretty crazy stories about how people try to get gambling tips! I gotta say, I am more of a logical data-driven guy myself when it comes to placing bets.  Basing things off dreams or animals seems kinda out there to me.  But to each their own I guess! Folks have all kinds of different ways to try to get an edge.  At the end of the day, no strategy is perfect so maybe some of those wild tactics occasionally pay off for people.

Everytime world-cup, there always have these prediction. Fun-fact for @OP with using wheel and number we gambler sometime make the decision be, so it's not realy new at all and tried to boost our luck.

I don't believe in any of those. I have faith in a lot of things, but there are some kinds of things I doubt the result and outcome of being tired of some supernatural power or any of such.
 
I have seen many people somewhere in my local area when I was stable in the rural area of my state. There is this particular group of people who are good at winning on polls, the kind of betting in which they only predict matches that will end in draws, and this form of betting is always available for football.

These people always say their numbers are being given to them either in their dreams or most times they get those numbers from a mental disorder guy who walks around the street and it works for them most of the time, but till now I still doubt the legitimacy of such.

No I don't take them seriously and never have to believe in them, to me, these predictions they  are mere random coincidence that billions of people on earth population can normally make predictions and we will have a small number of them  having the right prediction  that doesn't make them reliable predictors . How about the failed predictions made by this different famous persons/animals that op used as examples, that's why I strongly believe that it's all a coincidence and shouldn't be giving the much belief it's getting. Some of us have ones or twice in our life's predicted events that the results happened as we predicted so does that make us have psychic powers?

Psychic betting may be real or not real but it is what I can not have believe on. Betting should be for fun and entertainment and not a way to look for money or spirituality. I have heard of someone in my country that seek for supernatural help, to help see matches scores before they end, but the eyes of the person got blinded which let us know what he did that caused his blindness. I am not willing to know anything about physic betting because I only take betting to be something fun.

There exist a famous saying; seeing is believing. But, I'd rephrase it to experience is believing. People talk about receiving prediction for lotto number, from mentally disabled people. And when they play it, the number always happen to be accurate. Since, I've never tried it myself, and won't do it, believing in such a vague practice will be rare. As we are not sure of the sources of their powers or how they found themselves in that state of life. Sometimes they still fail to get the correct prediction. But, if their predictions are accurate, the gambler will only have to frequent their shrine. Therefore, putting no thinking effort on their own. All they could do is run to the psychic, if they have need of staking a game. And such things shouldn't be abused.

This belief is up to the person himself if he will believe on such things.
Because the reality is it depends on your luck. Their predictions may have come true, however, I would just take it as a coincidence.
As I don't believe in this way of prediction, I just look at it as being lucky for getting it right.
And for sure, they have also losses, but they won't publicly admit it as the "magic per se" may disappear.
There's nothing wrong seeking advice from a psychic but should not expect that you will truly win 100% as you will just disappoint yourself.

It's not that I believe them completely but I will probably take anything if we're just talking about predicting results for lotteries and as long as they're not asking for huge payment. Why not? It's a game of chance anyway and I don't have specific numbers I bet on. I've never won one so I may as well rely on their "expertise".

I don't believe in these things, I'm African and here in Africa most people live based on these types of things, the problem with that is that people in my country spend a lot of money paying people who consider themselves psychics, and then they don't earn nothing and yet they continue paying these charlatans who lie that they are clairvoyants, weeks ago another case of this type happened in my country, a house of young people who wanted to get out of poverty decided to look for a clairvoyant to help them get rich, it turns out that the clairvoyant told them that they had to pay a lot of money for him to use his powers and make the young couple very rich

So the young couple went to borrow a lot of money and paid the seer, then the seer disappeared for a few days and when he returned he told the young couple that he had already completed the treatment and that the young couple would see a white cloth on the day X and at time young couple did not see any good results from that treatment

They were still poor and unlucky, so they went back to looking for the sorcerer or seer again, he told them that the young couple needed to have sex and film it and then go kill a crocodile and take the animal to the sorcerer for treatment and they should pay money for the healer's services, the couple got angry and went to complain to the police and I don't know how the case ended, but one thing is certain, this thing of believing in superstition, leads people to become crazy, murderous and mentally ill to the point of becoming walking in the streets. I always prefer to stay away from these types of things

I think it just happen on random place at a random time, it's not exactly that it will work with others. If they actually work why not go for the larger wins then? I don't think that it actually work maybe it was just a pure coincidence that it happen, it may happen maybe for one time but I don't think it will happen consecutively.

Well obviously not. There's a 10000 to one of these psychics that will claim to have psychic powers and lose, so statistically there has to be a random number picker that gets it right. Someone saying they had a dream about winning a lottery is very common, so obviously sometimes some of them will win. And they think it's because some vague symbolic dream. If they are superstitious they take it as confirmation bias. And of course it's a news story every time anyone say that they had precognitive dreams. Everyone wants to believe them because everyone wants a change to win in lottery.

No, I don't because I don't have the feeling of believing in it. Luck comes to us without those things and no matter what we gonna do, we never know when our luck arrives. Because if we assume that psychic betting really works, people get crazy doing that but it won't which is why only a few people have the guts to believe such a way of betting.

Anyway, we can do whatever we think as long as it is not against the casino. Besides, casinos know that gambling is all about winning and losing, and more often the favors go to the casino.

If it's about real life games?? YES!!! any other shit doesn't even give you the time to dream about it... It just gets manipulated and that's what you get for tryna play Smart wit them.
I'm not entirely saying that believing in supernatural powers has alot of influence on gambling; because gambling Will always be unfair... There could be times you'd get those predictions in your dream and it doesn't even show up... Spiritualism could intervene, but to some extent..

There are actually a lot of ways to make it "seem" like you predicted other games after a big prediction really, just pay a couple of teams off. Some people believe fame is worth that money anyway. Some may really just be lucky in those kinds of instances and are brought up by media simply due to the attention the bet itself garnered. In all honesty, I reckon a lot of gamblers out there can pretend to be "psychics" really but are not noticed simply because their bets aren't worth a damn.

And, I also read the first article but why didn't he buy the ticket himself? Is the price that different from usual or is it a different section of lotteries for rich people only? It's also kind of stupid how the event got brought up because the waiter sued the boss for that win lmao. Kinda funny (and dumb) if you think of what happened.

Yes, I believe in psyche betting. If I hadn't witnessed people experiencing psyche betting in their football games, I wouldn't be as convinced of it because betting games is all about luck. 

What convinced me to believe in psyche betting was witnessing and hearing accounts from people who had engaged in psyche betting given to them in dreams about how their deceased loved ones had given them games to bet on and they had repeatedly won them. That experience alone leads me to believe that the spiritual realm governs the physical world and that the appropriate route for someone to seek spiritual intercession is necessary for whatever they do

Well, don't get me wrong; I laugh at that kind of prediction, to be honest. I just don't know, because for me, gambling is really just for entertainment. Now,  even if I win, it's none of my business, whether you have money or not. That's the same as having the opportunity to gamble, that's all. to me.

So why would I believe that if you believe that winning at gambling is mostly based on luck? right? So, for me, I don't believe in that. Because if you don't bet, you will never experience winning gambling, that's all.

I don't really believe in this but then it really does work and there are people who have won good money resulting from predictions they got from all these especially when it has been correct on several occasions, they build trust in it because it seem to have proven correct over time.

I personally feel there are times these predictions turns out wrong and will cost people a lot because they have trusted in the prediction due to its accuracy and they have gone to invest a huge sum gambling because they believe it will turn out in their favour. This was typically seen in the world cup years back where there was an octopus who predicted and it turns out correct and the bookies were paying attention to these predictions and reducing odds until one of these day the prediction turned out wrong and people did lost a lot of money.
