Met with an accident while I was on my two wheeler. That bastard cab driver hit my scooty from behind. Thanks to lord almighty I was wearing a helmet the accident could have been fatal. This incident happened before the finals and in the day time. I have wounds that are not serious and that is the reason I am not active on the local board.

Oh Boy! Just glad that you are fine and recovering well. One needs to be extra careful when driving on Indian roads be it intercity or highways and most importantly leave ego at home at least in Delhi-NCR.

Thanks for your concern and advise, highly appreciated. PCB dream again getting shattered. They will again complain about BCCI's bulky behaviour to ICC and will get nothing. Pakistan dream of making good money from Indian games again going into the drains. I wonder why Australia has not come up with security concern?

Did anyone watched the WCL final between India and Pakistan? India won the finals by defeating Pakistan again comfortably. Yusuf Pathan phenomenal batting down the order made the win look simple. Another cup for India after the T20 Cup. The Indian team under the captaincy of Shubman Gill has also won the T20 series against Zimbabwe.  They made a good comeback after a shaky start.

Did anyone watched the WCL final between India and Pakistan? India won the finals by defeating Pakistan again comfortably. Yusuf Pathan phenomenal batting down the order made the win look simple. Another cup for India after the T20 Cup. The Indian team under the captaincy of Shubman Gill has also won the T20 series against Zimbabwe.  They made a good comeback after a shaky start.

I missed it dear, I never expected a team unfit to win the trophy! Another achievement accomplished and now it makes me believe that Pakistan matches are a waste against India. We now need to focus on only Australia & England, if we want to win all the ICC tournaments. Pakistan as their economy is now out of everything that we thought was a challenge. I guess these guys who are active on Pakistan news media will again come up with a stupid explanation as to why they lost the Legends cricket trophy. That is what they have been doing for years after being repeatedly defeated by the Indian cricket teams, and it continues with another humiliating defeat.

It's been a while and no one discussed about the humiliating defeat by SL after 27 years. GG era began with bang in T20I but in ODI we got completely destroyed by a team that has only 3 batters, what a pathetic batting display by Indians except Rohit who always been an exception in any condition.

Will they drop Gill after this? Clearly there are better contenders for that position in ODI.

It's been a while and no one discussed about the humiliating defeat by SL after 27 years. GG era began with bang in T20I but in ODI we got completely destroyed by a team that has only 3 batters, what a pathetic batting display by Indians except Rohit who always been an exception in any condition.

Will they drop Gill after this? Clearly there are better contenders for that position in ODI.

India is a bilateral bully so it won't hurt much if they lose a few here and there. In recent times, they've lost only 3 white ball series, each against AUS, BAN, and now SL.

There are 2 types of narratives, one is when India wins any bilateral then these series are called useless but when they lose, everyone seems to upset with the team.

Having said that, our batters do have a problem against spin in the test but It didn't come out in the open much in the white ball cricket and this series changed that so clearly need to work on that. Gill is blue eyed boy so he'll get a long rope, at the same time window is slightly open for Jaiswal in the next 3 matches (before CT). 

Bumrah and Shami will make a comeback in the ICC tournament so not worried about the bowling department much.

It is too early to comment on GG and what he is trying to achieve. Do remember RD lost the 50 overs WC but thankfully won the 20 overs WC. It is too early to think about the outcome from GG. We cannot forget that he coached the team to win in the T20 bilateral series against Srilanka. Net 41 days we don't the Indian team will rest and then they will be playing another series.

I am not complaining though, I just pointed how media turns things quickly after one bad series. GG is definitely one of the best and he would approach in more aggresive way so the players should be also in the same kind to get better outcomes.

Also, I read the current supporting staff doesn't include any batting coach which means head coach is gonna oversee everything?

2000s outfit had legendary batters against spin. Even the early 2010s and mid-2015s teams had incredible spin batters but post 2016-17 Indian batting showed a drastic decline against any spin (Tests). The main reason was that many national players stopped featuring in the Ranji. In test cricket, a new lot is good against spin for ex; Gill (yes he's good), Jaiswal, Jurel, Sarfraz etc.

Gill has more than enough tools to find success In ODI and Test cricket so I'd say he's not overhyped by any means. He might fail in swinging conditions like England but he had shown enough in his debut away series in Australia. I still remember how he spanked Starc at the Gabba.

For the next 12-15 months, T-20 is not important. So all focus should be on the Test series (Home season and BGT) and CT.

Rana could be a good option but in limited overs only, Siraj is a workhorse in test cricket and it's hard to replace him.

One series loss against a weak team doesn't mean that Indian players are not good in ODI. GG is in the phase where he will try and test different players in different situations. This will help the team to develop themselves into a squad that cannot be defeated. We saw a similar kind of tactics by Rahul Dravid for few years before the T20WC. Before that spectacular win the T20WC they tried new kind of arrangements in ODIWC.  Unfortunately we lost the finals but now with GG in as head coach he will try something different. The key is to win CT and that all matters. Let him do whatever he wants to get us the trophy as he has more pressure than we could imagine.
