^^ i don't think there is much ICC can do ..South African pitches have lost their juices & if you try to manufacture a good wicket it's usually turned into a nightmare & you will get a sub 200 wicket.Across the 48 matches played, teams averaged roughly \(256.5\) runs per innings, making it the highest-scoring single edition in ODI World Cup history(This is a stat from 2023 Wc ) & if i can remove Sri Lankan fixtures we will probably get the same result for Last T20 Wc.

What i meant by playing Reddy/Axar/Hardik together is atleast we strengthen our batting coz playing Kuldeep is a risk now ..i have totally lost confidence on him he needs to get his wrist surgery done or he might get dropped.Btw don't think you noticed they picked sunder in the team ,,now tell me how he is an upgrade on Bapu.

Rohit,Gill,Virat,Iyer,KL,Hardik,Reddy,Axar/Sunder,Bumrah,Arshdeep & Third Pacer

Nah, I do believe ICC actually take over for good and does more than enough when it's ICC tournaments and pitches are usually competitive and diverse as well where no one has monopoly.

Problem with this combination ( relying on all rounders) is you are going with only 5 specialist batters and 4 specialist bowlers ( 3 specialist bowlers if you are replacing axar with Sunder) so you are short on both departments and you are just assuming that your allrounder will give you 20 overs, it could backfire badly if one of your specialist bowlers is having off day, same could happen in batting.

Likes of reddy and sunder can't finish their quota at all ( maybe sundar can but on his best day with big IF). Hardik is trump card but even can't finish his full quota ( in his 94 odi career, he finished his quota only 2 times).

He did this experiment in test and we got belted, he was trying washi vs axar thing in t-20 wc too and we almost lost the plot. He's gauti so you never know what he'll do next.

That's possible but siraj is up on the pecking order in ODI. Jaddu's case is tricky because his replacement axar is more than ready.

Cannot blame the bowler when the pitch itself is made for the batter; only good fielding can win matches. Bad luck or lack of batter concentration, I never expected Sai Sudarshan to get out in this manner like he did yesterday. Today I hope both the match should be better than what I saw yesterday.

It is not a big secret that the fielding standards are really poor this season, with 169 catches dropped so far this season till now as per the stats with a few matches left. Gujarat Titans are not the worst fielding side this season, they just dropped 19 catches so far  .

RCB are in the final because they played exceptional cricket, you cannot score 254 runs by playing casually.

They are playing the highest level of cricket and it is pathetic to see dropped catches at this level. If you drop catches in club cricket, you get abused badly. what are these players doing while earning millions. 

Today I hope both the match should be better than what I saw yesterday.

The same formula, the team batting first trying to score the maximum runs and RR is doing exactly that. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi chased the record for the fastest IPL century but unfortunately got out for 97 runs, he already broken the record for the most 6's in a single season.

RR played really well, and the boy wonder just missed his century. He will break the record for sure, as he has a long way to go. The fielding by RR was very good; they took every catch that was given to them, and some of them were really good. Archer, in this season, found his lost form and has been bowling really well. Tomorrow, GT takes on RR, and I'm sure that with the current form of RR players, they will be able to beat GT and go into the finals. Both RCB and RR are good teams and most of their players are in form. The finals should be interesting to watch.

The selectors are not currently considering Jaiswal for the T20 format. He is now going to give competition to Abhishek Sharma on opening the batting, as he is out of form or has has lost his touch. Like Sachin entered the Indian team in the 90s, this boy will also do it in the same manner, but in T20 format. I think Sanju will still be considered as Sharma's replacement, but the scene will be different there will be another opener from his group I feel Mathre is a good choice.

It'd be bad if gill gets into national team as an opener or even at top 3.

I mean you have abhishek - suryavanshi scoring with 200+SR. Then Jaiswal, who score at 150 SR even on his lean patch. For number 3, you have Kishan. Where will selector will fit gill and now even Sanju ( think his days are numbered alongwith SKY).

Let us first wait for GT to win today's Final. If and only they win, then Gill might get into the T20 team. I doubt they will win as RCB is a far better team than GT. SKY should remove himself from the team rather than getting removed by the selectors. He has been struggling with his bat before the World Cup. Either Sanju or Abhishek will lose their spot because of the 15-year-old boy.

Sachin Tendulkar would like some balance between bat and ball to return to the IPL and, to that end, wants to see the impact player rule done away with.

"I feel there are a few things which, on a personal note that I can say, I think the impact player needs to go away," Tendulkar said, speaking at the ESPNcricinfo awards for the greatest international cricketers of the 21st century a night before the IPL 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad.

"I feel when in a T20 format you just have to play 20 overs, and then you are adding one more batter to that line-up. Where bowlers are already being challenged, I find that imbalance."

The impact player rule, introduced in 2023, allows teams to swap one player out of their XIs and bring in another player from a list of five decided before the toss. The primary criticism of the rule is that it allows batters to bat with greater freedom, and that has been reflected in the rising scoring rates and team totals over the past two-three seasons.

Tendulkar, in fact, had two more suggestions to change the perceived imbalance between bat and ball at the IPL. Firstly, break the powerplay up into batters' powerplay and bowlers' powerplay. Plus, five overs for one bowler in every innings.

"[In] the powerplay of six overs with field restrictions, only two fielders are allowed outside the ring. Let the first four overs be batters' powerplay with the same field restrictions, and post that, the remaining two powerplay overs should be determined by the fielding captain as and when he wants to take. Those two consecutive overs will also get one fielder extra outside the ring at any stage of the game," Tendulkar, who was voted the greatest batter of the 21st century at the awards by a jury of 25 eminent cricketers, said. "So you [the fielding side] are able to control the game better."

And the final remedial measure: "One bowler should be allowed to bowl five overs. Because invariably the best bowler of the side is going to bowl that fifth over. Wouldn't you want to see that best bowler bowl more? The top batters are batting sometimes even 20 overs. Why shouldn't the best bowler be bowling five overs?"

Sachin has some good suggestion , I think Impact rule will be anyway gone since Dhoni is retiring   i'm 100% convince they brought this only for him.Other two are also good i'm up for it .

Our expectations got shattered, GT forced their way into the final, utterly disappointing performance by RR, which included a dropped crucial catch off Sai Sudharsan. Now I want to see Virat Kohli lifting another championship.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi actually mentioned in an interview with Kevin Pietersen that he wants to score a double century in T20 cricket, and that is his goal.

This is a fabricated social media creation:) lol. Since these fake news stories spread, Kumar Sangakkara confirmed that Sooryavanshi is a vital core member of their future plans.

I personally want to see Gill focus on Tests and ODIs rather than blocking other players, and for Jaiswal to be included in the ODI team.

I completely agree with removing the impact player farce. They won't be changing this rule until 2027, as BCCI confirmed it will continue through the 2027 season.

Was never a fan of impact player rule so good on him calling this out. 5 overs for best bowler sounds interesting tho.

Nah, for dhoni they tweaked uncapped player rule, dont remember exact details but it's was like if someone retired for more than 5 years then he could be considered a uncapped player and could be retain cheaply.
