Nah, for dhoni they tweaked uncapped player rule, dont remember exact details but it's was like if someone retired for more than 5 years then he could be considered a uncapped player and could be retain cheaply.

At least now, the names are about the young ones, not the established stars, which is a good change, if not the best.

And about the ratings, I didn't know but I heard in the analysis of ask after a match where Pdogg mentioned that there is almost 30% dip in the total viership of IPL but management said it is due to the election time but I doubt it, and it is basically due to the flat tracks, scoring 200 is the new bare minimum and every kind of bowler is treated like a shitty one so the competition is going completely in favour of batting.

BCCI should make a change or IPL will keep losing ratings.

Didn't seen them promoting any young player, Sanju did get some footage tho.

Don't know what Pdogg is but i remember reading some article around mid season. Think team playing with 8 batters ( impact player) also played important role in big score along with flat decks. At start, pitch looked diverse enough as we had every scoreline.

BCCI has appointed Sairaj Bahutule as the spin bowling coach of India's senior men's side.

"A former India international and a domestic stalwart, Mr Bahutule brings with him a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for nurturing and developing spin-bowling talent across domestic and franchise cricket," the board said in a media release on Tuesday (June 2).

Bahutule represented India in two Tests and eight ODIs. In his distinguished first-class career spanning nearly two decades and 188 games, he claimed 630 wickets. A prolific performer on the domestic circuit, he also scored 6176 runs in his first-class career, going down as one of the finest all-round contributors at that level.He was the bowling coach of India's Under-19 World Cup-winning team in 2022 and was also part of the coaching staff for the 2024 edition of the tournament.
