First of all I'm a small bitcoin investor, and I'm not too old to invest so this is the beginning of my investment.

I have known about Bitcoin since long time ago and I have been interested in Bitcoin ever since. Slowly trying to learn about Bitcoin and interest in learning about Bitcoin introduced me to investing. At the beginning of investing in Bitcoin I felt different, I could not believe that investors invest in this crypto currency. While slowly trying to learn about investing and at some stage of trying I got a rough idea about investing and from then on I started to believe that investors really invest in this platform. It was okay for others to invest but I couldn't bring up the courage to invest myself because it seemed too risky to me. Although it seemed risky, since a curiosity was working in my mind, I took courage and decided to withdraw money from my savings account and decided to invest that money in Bitcoin.  
At the time I invested in Bitcoin I clearly remember when Bitcoin was worth around $25K. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well until a few days after investing, I always felt that maybe I had invested my hard-earned savings in the wrong place. Although it was bad for a few days, I was able to adjust myself with it later. After a few days of my investment, I felt that something good must be waiting for me, because since that time the price of Bitcoin has been steadily increasing and has reached its current level.

Well, you're doing it wrong I mean, what answers you expect to get from a Bitcoin forum? 
So, I will start with the fact that you should decide for yourself. You should not handle your finances by random advises over the internet.

This being said, my opinion is to wait. There's a good chance you've bought in a pretty good moment, you know that there are big expectations for the following year.
Bitcoin halving tends to come with a bull run (or FOMO bubble) and a better strategy would be to wait until bitcoin price doubles (at least).
At that point you can sell some to get back the fiat you've invested so you have the peace of mind you need and stop asking this kind of questions. This is important because, if you read back, Bitcoin history has its bull runs, its bear market periods and also its "crypto winter" months; then this peace of mind will be very important so you don't chicken out and sell, so you can enjoy the future bull runs too.

Of course, I may be wrong; that's why you should decide for yourself.

personally i think you bought at the lower end third of the historic price range

so if you dont need the money. keep the whole coin.. however if you need some money you dont need to sell it all

lets say you only bought 0.004btc at $100 now $150
you could sell 0.00133 and take $50 to bring you back to still hoarding 0.00266 for $100 at todays price
which the $50 cash could be used to buy more then 0.00133 if the price drops again or the remaining 0.00266 gives more profits if the price rises further

Don't sell now - be patient and keep this investment safe and stay out of the market. As a long-term holder - I'm not forcing you to keep holding Bitcoin so you don't sell it if you need the money, but because you don't need the money so hold on and just enjoy the growth.

In this case I think you have to decide for yourself here because if you ask other people and that includes me, the answer is probably that you will be told to keep the investment you made and if necessary you should increase the investment made and wait until the profit is bigger.

I would keep it really simple and what I would have done if I were in your situation. If you are in for long term investment then leave it until halving and possible bullrun as price will surely increase as per the past trends. so when btc 10x in the 2025 ATH $1500 is 7 months of income

many people in the modern world live pay-cheque to pay-cheque and it takes them 7 years to say up 3-6months of emergency savings of their monthly income

so putting in a one shot of 7% of months income to turn into 7 months in 2 years without having to put any extra aside every month is a good investment

If you rely solely on the greed and fear index and can be sure that the bitcoin price will correct right now, are you being too naive? I have even seen it at high levels for weeks now and bitcoin is still rising without any major correction happening. As for selling bitcoin, you can sell at any time because it is your money and you need to stick to your investment plan. Personally, if I were in your situation, I would sell my Bitcoin. You don't even have to sell at the highest price to make a profit, profit is profit. If you don't need money anymore, you better share your investment with any of your family members or relatives as they are somewhat needed for that and let them manage and grow it. There is nothing shameful in buying and selling your assets, no one is perfect in this regard, we should only pray and hope that luck is on our side. It is not only a question of profit, but also that these people are actually harming their health because they are constantly under stress and fear that they will lose their investment because they have invested much more than they can afford to lose. You will experience this again when Bitcoin reaches around $50k. You will still want more, it will be the same feeling as you are not being contented. For now if you still don't need money then it is better to continue holding more and stop always checking it, as it will just tempt you to sell it. I think you are not going to get any specific suggestion regarding that from anyone and almost every single person would tell you to decide for yourself. If you don't need the money keep holding and don't sell. If you sell you'll use the money to buy sometimes that won't have value as Bitcoin. One thing I see many bitcoin investors are forgetting is that "taking profits is never wrong". Many people gradually become too greedy and set goals that are too far away that they are not even sure about. Although the future potential of bitcoin is still huge, we are not sure about it and everyone has their own plans. So most probably, OP is just worried that his investment might not work and his capital will not grow unlike other investors have experienced. I totally agree with you on this. Before starting an investment a person would have map out his goals and target. It might be monthly goals or yearly goals depending how long he wants to go on the investment, And it is good that when you have reach your target and the amount of profit you had in mind has been reached, that's the right time to take your profit.  Even if there are more chances that the investment profit would appreciate if you give it more time but there are still chances that it will depreciate. So since the first goal has been achieved we should not allow greed to make us wait because if we lose it we will regret that after all this time what we go nothing. That's the thing I do not understand by many people when they try to avoid selling it at all costs. My father is that kind of man, I understand saving and investing are important and OF COURSE you would rather not cash out, that's true and that's understandable. However, if something serious happens, then you should consider it, like if you need to have a surgery and you need to cash out 3 thousand dollars for it, if you try to avoid that, like find some sleazy doctor at corner alley type of place to pay 300 to do it, that would hurt you a lot more, or if you try to find the money some other way, like even make a debt, so you pay interest without need.

We save, because we fear we may need the money someday, and when that some day comes, we fear we are going to lose our money.
