There is no need of selling whatever investments you have now especially for cryptocurrency ones. In few months coming, the Crypto market would in in the bull trend and people who are lover and investors of cryptocurrency would be at higher level of making profits from the market. The Crypto market is huge especially for those of us that have both Bitcoin and altcoins investments. We should be planning ahead of what the market is going to display and we should not be too greedy or else we might loses big.

You should decide for yourself whether to sell your Bitcoin investment. Others can give advice, but they cannot make decisions for you.

However, I understand that you are looking for the opinions of others to help you make a decision. So here is my opinion:

I think you should wait. You bought Bitcoin at a favorable price and have great expectations for the next year. Bitcoin halvings tend to be accompanied by a bull run, so it's possible that Bitcoin's price will double in the coming year.

If the price of Bitcoin doubles, you can sell some to get back the fiat money you invested. This will help you feel more secure about your investment and you won't have to ask these types of questions anymore.

First of all I'm a small bitcoin investor, and I'm not too old to invest so this is the beginning of my investment.

I have known about Bitcoin since long time ago and I have been interested in Bitcoin ever since. Slowly trying to learn about Bitcoin and interest in learning about Bitcoin introduced me to investing. At the beginning of investing in Bitcoin I felt different, I could not believe that investors invest in this crypto currency. Although it seemed risky, since a curiosity was working in my mind, I took courage and decided to withdraw money from my savings account and decided to invest that money in Bitcoin.  
At the time I invested in Bitcoin I clearly remember when Bitcoin was worth around $25K. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well until a few days after investing, I always felt that maybe I had invested my hard-earned savings in the wrong place. Although it was bad for a few days, I was able to adjust myself with it later. After a few days of my investment, I felt that something good must be waiting for me, because since that time the price of Bitcoin has been steadily increasing and has reached its current level.

Assuming this is a legit truth from you. You need to sell all of it and never invest in any crypto of any kind.

My reasoning is simple if $100 turning into $150 makes you this anxious you do not have the ability to invest in anything that is volatile.

Leave the market and don't look at it any more it is not for you.

BTW this goes for stocks or metals.  You simply are lacking the mindset to invest correctly.

Every single investor has a target, so you need to have a plan for your investment. If you are comfortable with what you have earned so far, you can sell and make a little profit. But if you think you can bear the risk of keeping it's still a good choice because there are possibilities that the price of Bitcoin might appreciate. Keeping the money in a bank is not an option for me because of the high inflation in my country.

Assuming this is a legit truth from you. You need to sell all of it and never invest in any crypto of any kind.

I think the reason for his anxiety is because of the worth of that $100 to him. Some persons have to work for months to save such amount. The advice that one should invest what he can be able to bear in case of loss is important. Maybe he might be less apprehensive if he earns more and $100 become less valuable to him.

If you are having such thought in your mind at this stage where you’ve barely has enough profit in comparison to what is forecasted to happen in the future, you are not someone that can handle emotions or handle the volatility of the market without having a sense of fear in mind about it.

If you will ask everyone in this forum who are bitcoin lovers, bitcoin investors or bitcoin traders, no one will give you the impression or urge to sell now because they know that what we are aiming at is far from what you’ve profited since you invested in the bitcoin.

You just have to change your mindset, trust bitcoin and have a long time investment that will be profitable for your investment when you decide to withdraw your money invested back. Profit is profit but when you are so sure that you can still earn more profit from an investment, you just have to be patient to achieve that for yourself.

this if true means he broke the single biggest rule there is.  He invested more than he can afford to lose.

Now if it is true. that he over spent and could not afford to lose 100.  He should sell 100 and leave the rest.  Because he would be losing 0 of what he began with.

The fact he has to ask these questions means he is on very shaky mental grounds as an investor.

OP, selling your bitcoin now depends on the urgency of what you intend to do with the money. It's true that Bitcoin prices can't be very predictable, but we are heading towards the Bitcoin halving period, which will definitely give rise to a bull market, and by that time, I believe that the price of Bitcoin will be more than the $38k range, and if you are lucky enough to hold your coin till then, you will definitely make a big profit compared to the little you will make now if you sell. Don't sell now - be patient and keep this investment safe and stay out of the market. As a long-term holder - I'm not forcing you to keep holding Bitcoin so you don't sell it if you need the money, but because you don't need the money so hold on and just enjoy the growth.

If you need to sell them - then don't sell all the bitcoin, but sell as much as you need. There is great potential waiting for the holder in the next 1 to 2 years, so strengthen your grip and avoid market volatility.

In this case I think you have to decide for yourself here because if you ask other people and that includes me, the answer is probably that you will be told to keep the investment you made and if necessary you should increase the investment made and wait until the profit is bigger.
But in the end you also have to determine whether you will continue to be in bitcoin or not because in the end if you feel that when you buy at $25k and the profit you get is enough now why do you try to continue to hold if indeed with that profit you are very satisfied.

If you don't need the money, why are you going to sell it? If you let your money idle at the bank in fiat currency, it's going to lose value within time for the inflation. It doesn't seem a good idea. It would be interesting if you were going to cashout this money to invest in something solid outside crypto universe. But since that is not the case, I guess the best alternative is to keep investing in BTC, so you can make it grow more yet, as Bitcoin price increases futurely.

Meanwhile, starts thinking what you want to do with the profit you are going to make. Trace your goals, so once a good selling opportunity appears, you already have a destination for your money that will be even more rewardable.

I think a big part of your insecurities about Bitcoin comes from limited knowledge of how Bitcoin works and its potentials. Because in bitcoin investment, everyone buy it at the lower (bear) market and hodle it till the bull market so if this is a bull market for your investment then   you are free to sell and if even it is not your bull market and you have needs to meet up, you can still sell am.

You dont have to invest in bitcoin for short term investment but long time investment. If you are really investing in bitcoin and not a verbal or mere saying then the $38k is not the best time to sell and as you said, better rate is coming soon.

Surely knowing little about bitcoin won't help you much in terms of researching it yourself and accepting the results of your actions. With what the OP shared, I just want to wonder if you understand investing and gambling? As I see it you may have bought at a good price at the time, but skepticism is only replaced when your BTC makes you a lot of fiats. In fact, it's like gambling. When you don't understand, try to explain. I don't have advice on holding or selling, but I think you should take the time to research the market, including the coins future directions and events that may influence them.

Planning ahead is what people fail to do because they feel the market has presented an opportunity for them to actually sell off their coins before the big pump even come by so am not surprised that the market is going to be filled alot that are actually pulling off their coins instead of waiting to see if the real bull market is actually here as I believe the market is still growing and pulling out your coins.
