We all are aware of the high cost of living in the country like high cost of food and commodity, high cost of petroleum products, high cost of transportation and services.

Now with these challenges i've mentioned aboved i now begin to reason that in other to make life somehow easier for us we need to work from home through our computers, laptops, phones and other online gadgets in other to feel a little bit relieved from the economic situation of the country.

Working from home at this critical period of our economy will be better for us because before someone will leave to his/her place of work, it requires transportation and due to high cost of fuel now, paying transport to go to work and come back everyday for one month is not easy. Okay lets take for instance if someone pays #600 to his place of work to and fro for 30 days thats about #18,000 then lets assume that the person earns like #30,000 you will see that his transportation alone has taken more than half of his salary thereby no much money left with him again and lets consider if its someone that has a family how will he be able to meet up catering for his family and also paying rent and other bills.

Then in a situation whereby someone wants to buy something they can just order it online then a delivery man or dispatch rider brings it to them thereby reducing the cost of transportation they would have used to go and purchase it on their own.

I think our government should create an online platform whereby its citizens can trade and make other business transactions so that the cost of earning a living in the country can be reduced to the minimal.

Though i know that there are some challenges that might be encountered in the course of trying to perform business operations online like maybe for people that aint too lattered how they can be able to use this online medium for transactions and again sometimes one may not actually get the exact thing they ordered for but at least i believe that with time alot of people will be familiarize with the system just like during the naira redesign period where almost every individual in the country had to open account in other to perform business transactions due to scarcity of the naira note, i think it brought alot of sensitization among the citizens to know the importance of knowing how to handle online transactions though in these course, fraudulent activities are being experienced but with time it will reduce.

op you ideas are very good but to some extent because you know that this country is not too developed like that to be doing online businesses like our network is very poor such that it's not exactly the time you need something that you will get it due to unstable network, and again electricity is not constant for online operation so if we are seeking for an online medium of performing transactions we need to put these things into consideration because those are the basic things needed before we can proceed to talk about working from home or performing market activities online.

It's just very unfortunate how our government and politicians have given less or no attention to things that will bring about growth and stability in the country all they know is to embezzle public funds and divert government money to their personal pockets and send their children abroads then leaving the citizens at there own fate.  Its not an issue of the government, some businesses use both marketing (physical and digital) while others stick with one and in as much as transportation fees is choking some people are given monthly allowances for it while some are unfortunate not to earn but that doesn't they may quit their jobs and if it is possible for them to it online they may give this reason to their business management and the management may choose to accept it or reject it.

Op there are certain works that we can't work from home. Just imagine the job of a security personnel and gate men who need to be at there duty posts physically. Also imagine the work of a cashier in our local banks, they can't work from home because people need to see them physically everyday. What about those working in the farm and doesn't live within the farm settlement? The best thing to do is look for someone who works close to your office or in same office who has a car or motorcycle and negotiate with him on the need to ride with him on his car or motorcycle. You can be contributing in buying fuel weekly. Let's say you are spending #600 daily and you are working 5 days a week that will give you #3,000  per week you can discuss with the person that you will be contributing #2,000 on weekly basis. You have saved #1,000 per week. Or alternatively you can relocate closer to your work place to save you transportation expenses.

Then in a situation whereby someone wants to buy something they can just order it online then a delivery man or dispatch rider brings it to them thereby reducing the cost of transportation they would have used to go and purchase it on their own.

Remember when you are ordering something online the cost of dispatch rider will be added to the total cost that you will pay. This can only be effective in a situation where more than one person wants to go for the shopping.

Guy it is not the duty of the government to provide an online platform for all business activities in the country. Every business owner has the sole responsibility of deciding if there businesses should have an online platform where they can easily reach their customers. Government can only do this for businesses they control. What happen when the server is down and undergoing maintenance? Does this mean economic activities will be halted? Thought there are many online business which one can adventure into, but there are some factors that prohibits people from doing such online works like. Illitracy, Lack of information on technology, inability to comprehend towards online creativity, inability to provide capital which enhance the process. Eg. Buying  of electronic gadgets like laptops or phone and steady subscription. Lack of endurance to continue even when money is not coming from it.

Sometimes when looking for job you really need to consider the transportation before applying for the job, otherwise you end up working and earning at lost. The primary motive of a business, is to make profit, and when there is no profit it's no longer a business. If your location is far from your working place, you need to either relocate closer to your work place, or look for work close to your location, to reduce the expenses.

I think jumia and other online platforms are there, but not everything online can do for you. Odering something online will  not exit the expenses but will reduce it but definitely you must pay for delivery fee. So nothing is free.

   The world is changing, gone are the days of working long hours to earn a living, now a better living can even be earned from the comfort of our home. But let it be known that not everybody would earn a living from working at home. All fingers are definitely not equal. OP I quite understand what you are trying to emphasize on but I put it to you that our country is still a baby country that hasn't gotten the required knowledge to handle online transactions and moreover, our online platforms are full of scams and frauds and some times in the aspect of ordering things online, what you ordered may not really be what would be delivered to you and sometimes some fraudsters hacks the account of these online vendors and insert their details and people get scammed on several occasions even me I've been a victim of these effect so if we should seek for online means of doing things in other to make it easier for us, then we also need an enabling environment that would be free from frauds and online manipulations that's the only we can gear towards using Western standards in our local country.

With Digital marketing I think a lot of daily stress that occurs on the road as a result of people buying n selling interactions physically might not really be necessary.
If the Nigerian system completely adoptes the use of digital marketing especially in major cities it would enhance easy delivery and less stress
