Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public

Some time ago I also made a T-shirt Design for Coinomize's Bitcoin Mixer Platform and many liked the design and even Coinomize sponsored it.

I wore it last week at the Car Freeday event, and there was no response whatsoever about the shirt I was wearing.
Just a few pranksters scanning barcodes to find out what's on my back.

Where I live or in the city I live in, Bitcoin is not very popular and no one even notices the T-shirt I use.
The average of them considers Bitcoin as a worthless digital currency, just like a Ponzi scheme, MLM and others.

There is no threat to the use of T-shirts with the Bitcoin logo or anything like that at my place.
It's been quite an exciting experience, which others say looks extreme.

Has anyone ever tried wearing a Bitcoin clothing in public? I wore mine to an event earlier this week and noticed that most of the young age people were looking at it. One person even asked me if I owned a Bitcoin(which I've answered him ). It just popped into my mind that is it making myself vulnerable to bad people? We are aware that we should keep quiet if we own Bitcoin because of the risk that someone will hurt us or target us so that they could get our Bitcoin.

You may have legalized Bitcoin in your country so you are able to walk around in public places wearing a T-shirt with the Bitcoin logo. In this case you may have faced questions from two or four people but in this case you have not faced any problem. But in my country this idea is completely opposite because if I go to public place wearing any T-shirt with Bitcoin Logo, I must face various problems. Especially the government and state banking system of my country is completely against bitcoin, that's why if anyone is involved in discussing or dealing with bitcoin here, police action is taken against him in our country. This is why we cannot use any t-shirts with Bitcoin logos even if we would like to. We all fear getting into legal trouble and once we get caught by the police we must face huge career problems.

This isn't a bad idea most especially if you have some of those cool Bitcoin designs for a good art designer,  but then it may attract a lot more negativity to you than positivities, the  This is because wearing such encrypted Bitcoin clothing exposes you to a lot of risks and deny you the right to privacy and if you are leaving in a country such as a mind where there be multiple cases of scam and other security issues, it becomes important that, you as a Bitcoin holder must too everything 7ot takes to remain safe and securely protected at all time.

It is true that if we wear t-shirts that have the Bitcoin logo, it will put us in trouble if someone has evil intentions towards us, but this is not the case in all places where people understand what Bitcoin is so those who see it casually don't care about the logo. on the clothes we wear, but if we wear them in a place where people understand a lot about Bitcoin, I think this will have a bad impact on us, so it would be better for us not to wear these t-shirts.

There was a time I wanted to buy Bitcoin apparels, but then I realized later on that it might not be a good thing. That was after I read many news about Bitcoin owners who are being robbed of their Bitcoin and even hurt in the process. Now I prefer to just stay quiet about being involved in Bitcoin. Although there are people who know that I have a small amount, they're mostly relatives and friends. I don't want to attract unnecessary attention.

People who want private life, prioritize their privacy and safety will not want to show their faces and inform the public that they are Bitcoin investors. Risk starts from this and the public means many people put you under their radars. With good people, they are only curious but with bad people they might have some bad thinking and dangerous plans that are out of your control.

This style is for people who want to be influencers who want to be famous and build up their communities as bigger as possible. Maybe they do know about risk but just have bigger interest to be more famous.

I have no problem wearing Bitcoin clothing in Public but sadly I have none for now though there is a seller in our local  section but the delivery fee is so high because we are from far city .

But if given this chance? i will be proud wearing my Bitcoin shirt in public and will even have one for my Biking outfit .
But of course we must also aware of how handling our showing bitcoin support because in the back of it there will be a danger being targeted by people who hunts crypto from other people .

I don't understand why people always think that when we wear clothes with the bitcoin logo, we will become a target for criminals? So what if we wear clothes with gold or diamond logos printed on them? Do they think we have a lot of gold and diamonds?

What's more, if we all always hide and don't reveal to the world or promote people about bitcoin. So how can we always expect it to become more popular and become a currency when we never want to use it publicly? Isn't that a contradiction?, we all want privacy and we want bitcoin to be popular and widely used?

for people who like investing in bitcoin and like trading bitcoin, of course there is always a desire in their minds to make t-shirts with the bitcoin logo or buy clothes with the bitcoin logo, in my opinion, in this case it depends on the environment or a region, if in that area the economy is good and the majority have many who invest in bitcoin and there are always a lot of people wearing clothes with the bitcoin logo in my opinion that's not a problem. As I see it, most people do not support this action of yours because it can endanger you by people with bad intentions. That means people also advise you not to share bitcoins with others because once you spread the word about bitcoins, everyone will know you own bitcoins.

In my opinion, you should adjust flexibly depending on the environmental conditions where you live. If there is an environment with good security and people are sociable, then popularizing bitcoin to everyone is necessary and advisable. If your area has a lot of crime and social evils, you shouldn't brag about everything.

Yes, in general it is a bad idea. It is one thing if you are in El Zonte (El Salvador) or Bitcoin Island and wear a Bitcoin t-shirt there, but wearing a t-shirt or other merchandising item with the Bitcoin symbol is putting a bullseye on yourself that all it has are risks and no benefits, so for me the decision is clear.

As adoption increases, so do scams, and criminals that can extort you, and force you to give your Bitcoin to them. I've thinking of doing that in the past as well, but it's good that I didn't do it because of the fact that I was in the city at that time, and criminals were just lurking around, waiting for a victim.

It's easy to make Bitcoin clothing, but you will risk your safety if you do it. You'll be more susceptible to a "5$ wrench attack". Well, there are some who are still doing it, and there's nothing wrong with it I guess as long as they feel safe while doing it.

OP, One day we will be walking down the street wearing the Bitcoin symbol on a t-shirt like you and people will see us and ask if we are a Bitcoin investor or do we have a BTC bit coin. But it is not possible to do this at the moment because Bitcoin in Bangladesh is not legalized. When we get Bitcoin legalized we will be able to freely walk the streets wearing Bitcoin t-shirts.

Because you don’t understand the crime rate difference on each country especially in ours.  Bitcoin is new here and known for quick reach scheme by normal people. Come to my country and try to do that in the public to understand what we are talking about.

Probably you leave from the country which crypto is just a norm but try doing that on 3rd world country like us with high poverty rate. You will instantly get robbed by wearing valuable items such as gold when you walk down the street.

Really good to see how you’re marketing the idea of Bitcoin, but then, security it very important. Today, the average person that hears Bitcoin almost forgets that it is possible to own fractions of it. And they assume that you’re either owning at least one of it (which gave you the confidence to wear the Bitcoin clothing in public) or that you make a lot of money from it. Most people are not aware that Bitcoin can be bought in bits so they assume that every Bitcoiner owns at least one Bitcoin. If you own one Bitcoin in my area, you are a millionaire and one of the wealthiest in my location. This will make you a target to criminals such as scammers and thieves. It is better to remain anonymous because it will reduce such negative attention and make you move around freely. Before now I used to speak to people about bitcoin but I reduced my awareness programs and my focus now is to educate close family and friends. Bitcoin awareness is important but we can also advertise Bitcoin anonymously. Hopefully this will change in future when Bitcoin adoption has increased in many countries.

I haven't tried it but I think people wear a whole lot of customized clothes that bear brands and signature logos that they are not even a part of and people don't take them that seriously. Of course, the young ones who know about Bitcoin would easily suspect that you own a bitcoin and that's what inspired your choice of dress bearing bitcoin which might draw unnecessary attraction but it all depends on how free you are in sharing your bitcoin personality with people.

If you're in a society that even when people know that you own one bitcoin or more, it won't make anyone to see it as a big deal, then wearing such a customized product shouldn't be a problem but if you're in a county that are against it adoption and are doing anything possible to stop people from getting involved in Bitcoin, then you should know that you inviting some sort of unneeded attention to yourself.

I also have several t-shirts with the Bitcoin logo on the front and I often wear them when I leave the house or go to other public places here at my place. Indeed, there are several people who glance and see me when I wear clothes that have the Bitcoin logo on them, but they here at my place don't tend to approach me to ask about Bitcoin and maybe they also think that to find out about Bitcoin it's enough to go through the internet.

And I'm actually quite comfortable that no one wants to ask me about Bitcoin so that I don't have to spend my time explaining it to those who do. Apart from that, I have also seen other people in my place wearing clothes with Bitcoin written on them and I didn't approach them to ask because for me it was very normal, especially since Bitcoin is now known by many people throughout the world. So it wasn't something that really wowed me and it wasn't something that was surprising to me either.

You have to understand that not all bad or criminally minded people knows about bitcoin since they have only worked stealing or sticking up people that have fiat in them so I do not think that you are going to be in any danger wearing that, you are not flaunting your wealth in any way just because you are wearing a bitcoin themed tshirt and if you are really that worried about your well-being then your problem is you are probably living in an area that has a really high crime rate so maybe it is not your outfit that is attracting this type of stuff so go on and where what you want, you are spreading the gospel of bitcoin and you are comfortable with what you are wearing.
