We are aware that we should keep quiet if we own Bitcoin because of the risk that someone will hurt us or target us so that they could get our Bitcoin.

Not a good idea for me because you are just removing your privacy for having Bitcoin holdings and you might be target by scammer since they already have an idea that you are a holder.

Adding Bitcoin as mode of payment on my business is the best that I can do to promote Bitcoin in neighborhood since some people is already aware on it but not to the point that I will t-shirt and walk in the street that full of potential threat to my safety. I admire your courage for doing that.

Wearing Bitcoin clothes in public is a wrong move because it puts you at risk.this because a lot of persons including scammers and hackers will assume you are an investor of which in this case I believe they would be Right.

I see it is kind of risk. When you wear a T-shirt with Bitcoin logo on it, you are saying with other people like I am a Bitcoin investor, I have bitcoin.

The question you received from that person is like a warning for you. You can become a target of bad people so if you don't want to have that risk, don't do something like this again.

I think that would be very risky. Some people in my country still think that bitcoin owners are rich young people because they hear the price of 1 btc reaches tens of thousands of dollars without knowing that we can only have 0.0005 btc in our wallet. Then of course this will become the center of public attention and believe me it will be very uncomfortable when people who don't learn about bitcoin ask you how to get 1 bitcoin quickly.

Someone said a decade before that every picture has two sides, one that we are seeing and the other that is transparent or hidden, and the interesting thing is to find that. In your case similar thing is present and a lot of members suggested that wearing Bitcoin clothes in public is not good because some bad people will target you and my give harm you or steal your Bitcoin or valuable things and this is true but has anyone tried to see that other side of picture. Well, I don't think that someone will identify that and that is a positive message to the public. Yes, you read the right thing, we know a lot of people did not know even in 2023 because of the fewer advertisements of Bitcoin, and wearing Bitcoin clothes will spread Bitcoin to larger people when someone looking at your shirt and sees the logo of Bitcoin they will surely check it on Google once they reach to their house.

I have never seen anyone wearing bitcoin clothing in the public, and I have no plans either. Although it's a good way of spreading promotion about bitcoin, but it could also be a threat to anyone wearing that as there are bad people waiting in every corner eyeing for their new victim. Like you, I have a few t-shirts that have the Bitcoin logo on them.But I use them in my home not in public places because Bitcoin is still illegal in our country so I don't use it in public places with caution.

An interesting fact is that there was an incident in our country a few months ago where a man was zombied and demanded bitcoins as ransom.Since then I've been more cautious and avoided wearing t-shirts with the Bitcoin logo.

Because I don't want anyone to suspect that I have bitcoins or that I'm investing in bitcoins.No one can see the good these days.Maybe for our own safety we should hide them from people so people don't realize we have bitcoins.

I have yet to wear any clothing marked Bitcoin. But a few days ago I saw a young guy wearing a t-shirt marked Bitcoin and it suddenly occurred to me that this person might work in Bitcoin. Wearing Bitcoin Polo or T-shirt is nothing and it is normal printed clothes. I have seen a lot of people wore Bitcoin printed clothes in my residence. And when I asked some bought it in the market. So it is not a new thing for it. And if someone approach you because of the Bitcoin printed clothe your are wearing then you can simply tell the person you bought it like that in the market. This is also happened to those who wear Army clothes and when the Army approach them, they would told them that they got it from the market. Though Army own is depends on the printed colour. If is very light and does not really looks like their colour they can consider you and ask you to remove the clothe but if it is their real color then you have to face some punishment. As for me wearing Bitcoin printed clothe is not dangerous as you said.

this reminds me of news in Sweden that has been posted here in the forum where bitcoin owners were tortured by criminals to get bitcoin from the owners, so yeah, you basically are branding yourself that you might know bitcoin and gives you a higher chance of being targeted by bad guys who knows bitcoin. I suggest that be cautious if you plan to wear clothing or accessory that has the Bitcoin logo.

I think that it used to be an interesting idea, of course at the time when the price of BTC was a few hundred $ and when people did not pay attention to such things, but today such dressing can have very bad consequences for every "Bitcoin promoter". However, I think that the "danger level" largely depends on the country where one lives, because in some countries people usually mind their own business and don't pay too much attention to what someone has on their shirt, and in some other countries people would do crazy things for $50.

I have always love the idea of wearing Bitcoin merchandise but it all changes when someone was kidnapped in my country and the kidnappers ask the family of the kidnapped victim to pay ransom using Bitcoin, I thought to myself that this is the end of me saying anything related to Bitcoin in the open public.

You can easily become a target if criminals know what Bitcoin is about, they might believe that you are holding some Bitcoin somewhere and they will force you to give up your recovery seed.

 - Do not stay out late.
 - When you are at home, keep your doors locked at all times.

There's nothing bad to wear a dress, polo or t-shirt with BTC written on it as long as the area you're wearing it to is not against their law.

It's a mix in opinion regarding this but for me, I think that it's alright to wear something that resembles bitcoin in public, it's not like it's going to be a big deal but I don't want to sound tone deaf but I am speaking in experience since I live in a pretty safe city and neighborhood so consider that when you're wearing that and also you need to consider the popularity of bitcoin among the common people because if they don't know a thing about it then it's probably alright for you to wear it anyways. I've seen a lot of people have t-shirts with gun logos on them, so that doesn't mean he's going to have a gun or be picked up by law enforcement. Don't do it. It will gather unnecessary attention on you. Especially criminals might make a target out of you. Even if you don't have big amounts in crypto, you may go through some unpleasant events. The police may also see you differently. There was a story years ago, a dude was wearing a btc hat or smth and the airport police questioned him because of it. Why take a risk like that? I was worn one time, but the problem was the people who are here in our country didn't even like it and the government don't want fully here to support the bitcoin. So they just warn me for it. After that I have worn many times in my home who have written on the middle "Bitcoin is Best" and also even I wrote than on the similar shirt which I gifted to my friend which also have some information about the trading.

My family wants me to wear that shirt because it has an orange colour which I like too much but I can't go with that shirt outside due to the government restrictions on these type of things. Nothing is more important than life. Although Bitcoin is a worthy thing, it is good to promote it, but not so much that you trade your life. Meaning, it is good to promote so that awareness spreads and Bitcoin is widely adopted, but not in such a way that you die for the sake of this promotion. It is obvious that when malicious people see Bitcoin holding, they want to get it at any cost. They can even kill you or kidnap you to get the seed phrase.

So I think this thing is full of risk and should be handled carefully. Obviously, you are attracting people not only those who know bitcoin, but also to those who have only heard bitcoin the first time. And most of all, you are putting yourself in danger to those scammers who are hunting for some victims. Bitcoin has a very huge value as an asset so if they think you are hodling bitcoin as well, then be careful with the people you suddenly meet after that event as they can be those scammers that have already set plans to attack you and steal your bitcoin, or worst kidnappers and declare a huge ransom in exchange for bitcoin.

I think it's okay to use attributes with the bitcoin logo. Especially if we are not rich and don't have a luxurious lifestyle. Good way to let people know that you're a bitcoin enthusiast, might even get people asking what you're wearing or what it represents. I had a former friend (details as to why he's a former friend unnecessary to this post) who used to add bitcoin stickers on his car and his pc, given the fact that I was the one who introduced him to cryptocurrencies in the first place and he was able to adopt early and make a killing out of this ordeal. I don't have issues wearing some bitcoin logo t-shirts as long as you do it  in your bitcoin community but wearing it publicly, I guess that will only trigger those bad people around and might think that you are hodling a huge amount of bitcoin. people wear a lot of T-shirts in where I'm from that, they have no understanding about the inscriptions on it most times because some of these items were purchased from thrifts or gifted to them by someone else. But how about those people who accidentally wear clothes that have either a bitcoin logo or anything related to bitcoin? I don't have a sample, but I once encountered a person that wore a t-shirt with the printed "Bitcoin" and the "B" designed as the logo of bitcoin, and from the looks of it, he looks like a person who doesn't have any idea about bitcoin, so out of curiosity, I asked the person where he brought the t-shirt and said that it was from their local clothes store, and I asked him again if he knew about the print, and he said no. So basically, there are clothes stores that have this kind of design but don't know its meaning. But in the case of the OP, he intentionally wore the t-shirt, maybe to show off or because he doesn't have anything to wear, so expect that many people will be curious about him doing crypto currency stuff, as the bitcoin logo these days is very popular. I can say that one can see such t-shirt or polo and buy it because they like it as a result of  the bitcoin design on it. Wearing it depends on your environment too because that would guarantee your safety. If you feel that your are just wearing if for the design without thinking of your bitcoin involvement then you should know what to do and places you wear it to otherwise, it is better you take caution because you just can not tell who is watching at you in the public to launch an attack on you. To be precise, it's just a T-shirt with the bitcoin logo, it doesn't say anything to the person wearing it. People seem to be making things more serious by thinking too much about being attacked by someone just because we wear a shirt with the bitcoin logo. If anyone asks about it, we just have to answer that we don't know anything and say that it was just a shirt given to us by a friend. It depends on you. You may wear it, and when someone asks about it, you can answer that you bought it from a random shop because you liked the design, and that's it. I have bought many t-shirts with several cartoons and other movie posters, but that does not mean I know all of them and I have watched those movies or cartoons. It exclusively depends on you.

But if you live in a country where Bitcoin is banned, then you should be careful about it. I would recommend not to wear it to avoid any possible issues. People might report police saying this guy own Bitcoin without even knowing you.

Well, it's still better to be careful in public cause as we know people are unpredictable, the fact that OP has been already asked if he's holding any amount of Bitcoin already sounds alarming especially when it comes to strangers, you can assume they might be a good guy or not. It depends on the location as well, if Bitcoin is that popular and well-known, then I don't see any bad thing about wearing Bitcoin's logo as people would think that you are just wearing a famous design that you can buy in the market just like in my country, they can even produce an imitation of luxuries product like Gucci, LV and etc. Just don't reveal any amount of BTC you are holding just give them false information such as you got that t-shirt as a gift.

Owning or being involved in the world of Bitcoin or altcoins is not a crime, it's just that when we use t-shirts or logos related to crypto it will reduce our privacy that's why I've never done it before but people around me know that I'm involved in the crypto world so there's a good chance they'll also think that I own Bitcoin.

I don't buy the idea of wearing a Bitcoin branded t-shirt in public, it exposes you to dangers. Just like the person who asked if you had any Bitcoin, there are several others who saw the tshirts on you but couldn't popped up that question, and you never can tell the thoughts they've in their hearts. IMO, where this could be more appropriate is for little kids. You can buy or design Bitcoin branded tshirts and gift to kids, to help create awareness and no one would think they kids or their parents possess Bitcoin.

For me I really don't think it's a bad thing creating some sort of awareness about Bitcoin. In one way you could also be helping some persons too in the sense that, by flagging a Bitcoin inscribed clothing, you're simply creating a harmless awareness about Bitcoin, and you never can tell, you might just have someone there who's got interest in Bitcoin but don't know where to start or who to ask, if such a person happens to meet the wrong person, then we know how that would probably turn out. Does that mean that if I wear a branded T-shirt, others will immediately think that I am a rich person? Yes. I have absolutely worn bitcoin clothing in public and it has absolutely turned some heads.

I have seen some design Online but most have big Logos of Bitcoin that for me is exaggerating , am not a fan of those type of shirt  and also I wanted to have it as Hood so there is 2 version that I am planning but with different design of course.

Before, I thought about putting Bitcoin and crypto marks in my house but I didn't because maintaining my privacy, especially about bitcoin is better. The same thing happened to my earlier plans of having shirts and caps with bitcoin markings. So far I only have a tiny bitcoin logo on my phone and laptop.

Wow, I have the same shirt as well. But I already cut the sleeves, I gain weight that's why I remove the sleeves and to look like Sando. I bought mine way back 2017 and now I often wear this these days, because every time I wear this. This is not a good way of spreading information about bitcoin because we don't know that the individuals who are asking about bitcoin are loyal with or not. Actually sharing your success with others means that you are revealing yourself to them to put your lives in danger. We can also share bitcoin knowledge online but wearing cloths of bitcoin will not give you any profit instead making your life threaten by hackers and haters.

Share your ideas about bitcoin with relatives is good idea to spread information among them but don't show them that you are also a bitcoin holders and hide all your success from others to an extent to which you can. OP is quite good with his act of spreading about bitcoin. As most users have mentioned it can be a risky thing for him, but what he had done is really appreciable. The people who hadn't got any idea about bitcoin will never note it, whereas people who had heard about it and doesn't know much about it tends to know. It is very common to see dollar signs on T-shirts and those doesn't cause to be a risk for the people wearing it. I would love to have a shirt with a Bitcoin logo to wear in public. It can attract people and and a little way for us to spread awareness about the existence of Bitcoin. However, for security I will not disclose that I have a Bitcoin holdings because we'll never know what others might think. I think this is a bit exaggerated statement, but it cost you nothing if you think for your own safety then I guess keeping it secret is perfectly fine.
What I was thinking is that, wearing expensive jewelries is far more susceptible to street criminals than simply wearing a bitcoin tees. I personally saw several people wearing bitcoin logo from tees, pants, car stickers, and even tattoos and I don't think they are having problem with it. Fortunately, I live in a small city where crime rates were not to high compared to the big cities in my country, but honestly I have not heard of a crime regarding someone was killed as stealing bitcoin being the primary motive.

Well, it would be a good idea if you are into places like conventions crypto crypto-related seminars, and meetings as people are aware of Bitcoin's existence and wouldn't question if you own it cause anyone could be a holder or just promoting BTC using the merchandise. If you were in public people would see you wearing Bitcoin as they would assume that would be worth a lot so they could do illegal things such as crime, worse is they can identify your identity, and would do blackmailings or stalking. You have to understand that not all bad or criminally minded people knows about bitcoin since they have only worked stealing or sticking up people that have fiat in them so I do not think that you are going to be in any danger wearing that, you are not flaunting your wealth in any way just because you are wearing a bitcoin themed tshirt and if you are really that worried about your well-being then your problem is you are probably living in an area that has a really high crime rate so maybe it is not your outfit that is attracting this type of stuff so go on and where what you want, you are spreading the gospel of bitcoin and you are comfortable with what you are wearing.

There might be a few isolated instances where somebody was attacked because people knew they held bitcoin but I only hear those stories maybe once a year, if at all. Yup, they will assume that you're interested in bitcoin that's why you have a customized shirt like that. Even if you have bitcoin merch, It doesn't mean that you own BTC, it's just like a support to this famous crypto coin. Maybe it depends on the individual. But yes there's nothing wrong with that. It's just a printed tshirt with a Bitcoin design or logo. No one can immediately confirm you hold a whole Bitcoin and put you in danger. People will only be curious if you hold one or more but then after that, nothing will happen. Wearing Bitcoin Polo or T-shirt is nothing and it is normal printed clothes. I have seen a lot of people wore Bitcoin printed clothes in my residence. And when I asked some bought it in the market. So it is not a new thing for it. And if someone approach you because of the Bitcoin printed clothe your are wearing then you can simply tell the person you bought it like that in the market. This is also happened to those who wear Army clothes and when the Army approach them, they would told them that they got it from the market. Though Army own is depends on the printed colour. If is very light and does not really looks like their colour they can consider you and ask you to remove the clothe but if it is their real color then you have to face some punishment. As for me wearing Bitcoin printed clothe is not dangerous as you said.

I think this once, as far as I know, it's before the pandemic, when I did go to a landbased casinos and see the reaction of the people. But so far, none has approach me and call my attention for wearing a bitcoin logo. I do not think it brings any threat since such designs is normal especially when it is trending.  There are even stalls selling that kind of design, unless a person bragged that he has Bitcoin, I do not think that wearing such a design indicates that the person is holding BTC.

The shirt looks awesome, I would wear it proudly if I had one. Grey is one of my favourite colours and I don't have any problems with sharing publicly that I like Bitcoin. It would also be nice to get into conversations with strangers about crypto currencies. Just because you are wearing crypto merch doesn't mean that people know how much money you have invested in it. To me it doesn't make sense to target people based on the clothes they are wearing, because then the criminals would be only focus on the people wearing designer clothes that cost thousands of Dollars. Or imagine someone wearing clothes with Dollar signs on it, it doesn't mean that they are rich and have a lot of cash in their pockets. The only thing people get from your T-shirt is that you like crpytos, but even that might not be true because It could also be that you received it as a gift from someone else. Personally, I didn't buy any new clothes in the last 2 years because I was struggling a lot with the pandemic and now high inflation. I still have a lot of clothes at home and even managed to sell some of my older stuff that doesn't fit me anymore this year. Going to second hand markets and selling a few items helped me to get some additional funds. If I ever see a cheap Bitcoin shirt, I would buy one as well.

I personally also opt for a neutral stance toward people wearing BTC logos oh their shirts, just acknowledging that they are wearing BTC logos not for some bad reason. As long as there's no official government prohibition in my country regarding rules for wearing BTC-logo clothing, it's still considered safe if you have positive mindset. If there's no fear of asset confiscation, then billionaires like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, and others wouldn't be sharing their wealth, right? Even those of us who don't have more than 1% of their wealth act overly protective.

Maybe in a safe country, like if I am living in Dubai I can wear this with no issue but I am from a very corrupt country, still many don't know about Bitcoin, some have not even heard about it before but I am still scared because almost everyday people are getting killed, some kidnapped and some are sold for organ harvesting, my country is not a safe place for me to start wearing Bitcoin cloth, if I manage to attract the bad ones I will become a target.

I am ambivalent about the BTC-logo on clothing. On the one hand, the BTC-logo on a T-shirt doesn't mean that you have bitcoins. It's just a print, an inscription or a picture, nothing more. A Lambo graphic on a T-shirt doesn't necessarily mean you have a Lambo stashed in your garage. On the other hand, why attract unnecessary attention? Nobody will steal from millionaires because they don't walk down the street wearing a BTCitcoin  T-shirt, but if an ordinary citizen does that, then he is under the scrutiny of everyone, regardless of whether he has bitcoins stashed in his pocket or not. The desire to be on trend with such a T-shirt can have different effects on your life depending on the specific country and local customs prevailing on the streets. It can be difficult to convince, under the influence of a $5 wrench, that you bought the T-shirt only because of the nice design and not because you have bitcoin.

I don't own any bitcoin clothes and I don't think I'll ever buy some, there could be too man stupid risks involved doing something like that: maybe you own a few Satoshis but people don't know that and they may assume you are some big investor or anyway someone very wealthy, and depending on where you live it could actually put you in some type of danger.

Wearing bitcoin logo does not guarantee that you're actually into bitcoin investment, as some are only riding the hype and just want to wear something that will make them noticeable and at the same time comfortable. There's actually no wrong with that if you look at the positive side, but I guess every individual has different mindset when it comes to bitcoin. Some sees it as a threat especially in countries where bitcoin is known as an expensive investment.

But its a different case if you wear it in provinces as most of the people do not even know what is bitcoin and if its even valuable or not. So for me, wearing bitcoin logo remains safe as long as you don't use it in public areas where different kinds of people may see you and make you as a target for those scammers.

Back in 2018/2019 there already was a certain awareness about bitcoin but probably it was still possible to go unnoticed, at least in the majority of cases. Now things changed a lot, so again, maybe back then it wasn't a big deal, now I would suggest you to reconsider your ideas. As I said before anyway it mainly depends on where you live and the crime level of your country.
