Today, the average person that hears Bitcoin almost forgets that it is possible to own fractions of it. And they assume that you’re either owning at least one of it (which gave you the confidence to wear the Bitcoin clothing in public) or that you make a lot of money from it. You may not own so much Bitcoin yet, you can place targets on your back subconsciously and innocently. So, be careful; people are watching, don’t create the ideology of being rich.
People just  assume anyone that has something to do with Bitcoin (whether he is trading or hodling) is super rich. Wearing Bitcoin clothings will only affirm their curiosity because it is kind of rare to see people wear clothes with Bitcoin inscriptions and logos on them. Apart from the fact that the wearer of such outfit will be at risk of being a target to bad people, he will also be exposed to fake friendships. Yea, everyone wants to associate with the big guys. When you have such people around,  they won't rest until they drain you financially and your privacy too will obviously be at stake.

This is not just limited to Bitcoin.  In general,  once people know where you are earning from,  they begin to assume a whole lot of things about you and three things comes on their mind. It's either they ignore you, attack you or be friends with you. This is why we have to be careful who we expose our source of income to.

This is not a good way of spreading information about bitcoin because we don't know that the individuals who are asking about bitcoin are loyal with or not. Actually sharing your success with others means that you are revealing yourself to them to put your lives in danger. We can also share bitcoin knowledge online but wearing cloths of bitcoin will not give you any profit instead making your life threaten by hackers and haters.

Share your ideas about bitcoin with relatives is good idea to spread information among them but don't show them that you are also a bitcoin holders and hide all your success from others to an extent to which you can. One cannot bear the profitability of others so why we share profit with others to make our investment more risky and insecure.

Has anyone ever tried wearing a Bitcoin clothing in public? I wore mine to an event earlier this week and noticed that most of the young age people were looking at it. One person even asked me if I owned a Bitcoin(which I've answered him ). It just popped into my mind that is it making myself vulnerable to bad people? We are aware that we should keep quiet if we own Bitcoin because of the risk that someone will hurt us or target us so that they could get our Bitcoin.

This is exactly like wanting to show others that you are a Bitcoin Trader or Bitcoin Hodler. However, because this is clothing, not everyone will be amazed, for those who don't know, this is not something strange. Or here you want to try to show off by wearing Bitcoin clothes? I've done it but it serves no purpose other than to cover the body. There are around 20 t-shirts with the Hodler Bitcoin logo. So, after I thought about the risks of this being a target for hackers, I finally stopped wearing the t-shirt and now it's probably only suitable for collecting.

Before, I thought about putting Bitcoin and crypto marks in my house but I didn't because maintaining my privacy, especially about bitcoin is better. The same thing happened to my earlier plans of having shirts and caps with bitcoin markings. So far I only have a tiny bitcoin logo on my phone and laptop.

Maybe in modern and open countries, this is not a problem. But lately, in my country, our government has been trying to emulate what the US is doing including Binance. Tax analysis computations are still in process. Living in a very corrupt country, I prefer to just stay private.

You have a cool Shirt mate, have you the one designed that? or just a purchase from store or some bitcoin loving designer because I really love white shirt with simple print on it  so maybe now I have Idea what kind of shirt i am going to send to the clothing shop(Is it OK if i copy your design?)

I have seen some design Online but most have big Logos of Bitcoin that for me is exaggerating , am not a fan of those type of shirt  and also I wanted to have it as Hood so there is 2 version that I am planning but with different design of course.

Before, I thought about putting Bitcoin and crypto marks in my house but I didn't because maintaining my privacy, especially about bitcoin is better. Seriously ? you have the same as mine? yeah Infront of my Computer there is a Bitcoin Logo and yes in back of my Mobile phone there is a Big Bitcoin Logo that can be noticed because of its color gold  Grin

In my Provincial visit last year(somewhere in our Summer capital) have seen a couple(Husband and Wife) wearing Ethereum Shirt though this is not a Bitcoin but at least they are proud wearing cryptocurrency that I believe almost have same approach as Ethereum is the highest ranking altcoin.

But how about those people who accidentally wear clothes that have either a bitcoin logo or anything related to bitcoin? I don't have a sample, but I once encountered a person that wore a t-shirt with the printed "Bitcoin" and the "B" designed as the logo of bitcoin, and from the looks of it, he looks like a person who doesn't have any idea about bitcoin, so out of curiosity, I asked the person where he brought the t-shirt and said that it was from their local clothes store, and I asked him again if he knew about the print, and he said no. So basically, there are clothes stores that have this kind of design but don't know its meaning. But in the case of the OP, he intentionally wore the t-shirt, maybe to show off or because he doesn't have anything to wear, so expect that many people will be curious about him doing crypto currency stuff, as the bitcoin logo these days is very popular. They know about bitcoin, but they don't know the indebtedness of it.

Its just a t-shirt nothing can put you in harm with that unless you display your ledger or anything that can show that you hold some balance in your position. If you are worried about it well don't give your self a stress and don't where anything that can make you easily identified as a bitcoin user or holder.

I have couple of bitcoin and altcoin T-shirt designs and wearing it on public then so far it didn't put me on any risk. If some ask if I am bitcoin user then answer plain that you have some amount but only a small percentage only don't tell them that you have a lot of it since maybe it can caught the interest of bad people since bitcoin still a form of money. Also don't think about negative things for wearing it since bitcoin is not known by majority so for sure they don't give a shit on the design of your shirt.

I can say that one can see such t-shirt or polo and buy it because they like it as a result of  the bitcoin design on it. Wearing it depends on your environment too because that would guarantee your safety. If you feel that your are just wearing if for the design without thinking of your bitcoin involvement then you should know what to do and places you wear it to otherwise, it is better you take caution because you just can not tell who is watching at you in the public to launch an attack on you. It is generally assumed that guys into bitcoin are well to do and if it happens that you have been on their list of how you manage to get your money and they finally see you on a bitcoin logo shirt then they would conclude that your source of income is from the bitcoin you are involved in. So in that case your privacy is no more guaranteed and you might be a possible target to them.

I don't think that's a good idea, I have heard many horrible stories about people who have been targeted by bad people because they found out about their wallets.

This will definitely contribute to the Bitcoin promotion, which is definitely a bold venture but promoting it can lead to your bad times. I think it would never be logical to disclose any information about your holdings even if you go out wearing such a dress. Nowadays educated people are very aware about Bitcoin. Those holders will not be safe when others suspect a person to be a holder of Bitcoin. They can be attacked by scammers at any time. Where they risk losing all their wealth. In this case, a holder must hold bitcoins with maximum security. No act should be taken where the slightest suspicion may arise.

To be precise, it's just a T-shirt with the bitcoin logo, it doesn't say anything to the person wearing it. People seem to be making things more serious by thinking too much about being attacked by someone just because we wear a shirt with the bitcoin logo. If anyone asks about it, we just have to answer that we don't know anything and say that it was just a shirt given to us by a friend. You're right, the t-shirt doesn't show our bitcoin balance, why are we making things complicated?

It depends on you. You may wear it, and when someone asks about it, you can answer that you bought it from a random shop because you liked the design, and that's it. I have bought many t-shirts with several cartoons and other movie posters, but that does not mean I know all of them and I have watched those movies or cartoons. It exclusively depends on you.

But if you live in a country where Bitcoin is banned, then you should be careful about it. I would recommend not to wear it to avoid any possible issues. People might report police saying this guy own Bitcoin without even knowing you.

Well, it's still better to be careful in public cause as we know people are unpredictable, the fact that OP has been already asked if he's holding any amount of Bitcoin already sounds alarming especially when it comes to strangers, you can assume they might be a good guy or not. It depends on the location as well, if Bitcoin is that popular and well-known, then I don't see any bad thing about wearing Bitcoin's logo as people would think that you are just wearing a famous design that you can buy in the market just like in my country, they can even produce an imitation of luxuries product like Gucci, LV and etc. Just don't reveal any amount of BTC you are holding just give them false information such as you got that t-shirt as a gift.

I don't want to show t-shirts that say Bitcoin or anything related to crypto. I prefer to wear a black T-shirt with no writing on it.
Apart from that, it depends on the legality of Bitcoin in your country so that you don't violate existing regulations. We don't know who will be curious, ignorant, or even want to be malicious because we wear t-shirts that say Bitcoin.
It's better to be a normal citizen and not show that we have Bitcoin. After all, we have to protect ourselves from bad people.
But if Bitcoin is fully accepted in your country and lots of people wear Bitcoin t-shirts, that may be okay.

I have the same shirt as you. However, I don't use it too often.
I am an introvert, wearing my shirt gets a lot of attention and I don't want it. Every time I wear my Bitcoin t-shirt I was also asked by some people if I have a Bitcoin, I was told that I am rich because I own Bitcoin. So, right now, I'm only using my Bitcoin shirt at home or including them with some of my few Bitcoin collectible items purchased or winning items in the raffles.

-snip-
Owning or being involved in the world of Bitcoin or altcoins is not a crime, it's just that when we use t-shirts or logos related to crypto it will reduce our privacy that's why I've never done it before but people around me know that I'm involved in the crypto world so there's a good chance they'll also think that I own Bitcoin.
I'm not interested in wearing t-shirts that have pictures or logos about Bitcoin or altcoins because that would reduce my privacy as a Bitcoin holder and that's why I'm quite strange to see a member designing a t-shirt with a picture and logo of one of the mixers promoting on this forum because in my opinion It's like exposing personal data to the public, and it looks worse than KYC especially if they also post it on social media.

I don't buy the idea of wearing a Bitcoin branded t-shirt in public, it exposes you to dangers. Just like the person who asked if you had any Bitcoin, there are several others who saw the tshirts on you but couldn't popped up that question, and you never can tell the thoughts they've in their hearts. IMO, where this could be more appropriate is for little kids. You can buy or design Bitcoin branded tshirts and gift to kids, to help create awareness and no one would think they kids or their parents possess Bitcoin.

The debate around this topic is very interesting. I've noticed that some people here express concerns about privacy, criminal activities, security, and more. It's surprising that even before donning a BTC logo shirt, there's a pre existing "negative mindset without giving it a try". Responses from the community likely vary, and generalizing these concerns can create unnecessary barriers for those wanting to freely express themselves.

It's akin to wanting to invest but being overwhelmed by fears of loss, scams, and the like. I'm not naive, but I dislike the idea of people being consumed by negative thoughts while trying to shield themselves with some reason like security and privacy. This isn't an encouragement to disregard your safety, but rather an invitation to approach actions with a positive mindset, like wearing a BTCshirt in public. It's better to think about the right responses if someone asks about Bitcoin. Do I wrong?

I've been wearing a BTC shirt, a gift from a friend, for about two years now. So far, only around less than 10 people have asked me about BTC, and none of them showed any signs of ill intentions.

As for me, I have never worn Bitcoin clothes in public before and I do not think it is a wise decision because Bitcoin is not allowed in my country and therefore I may be exposed to legal liability.

Wearing clothing bearing the Bitcoin logo may be good advertising and a popular way to attract people towards Bitcoin in countries that do not ban Bitcoin, but in countries that ban Bitcoin, wearing these clothes will be very dangerous.

If Bitcoin is banned in your country, it is best to maintain your privacy and not tell people that you work in Bitcoin, otherwise you may be imprisoned.

for me, it is not that bad if you are that proud to wear your Bitcoin shirt, cause in my country only a few are able to know about BTC, altcoin, trading, etc. so it really depends on the people surrounds you. Some people may not be familiar with Bitcoin, and then you may attract unwanted attention, specifically to strangers. cause they will be curious and want to discuss more about it because as I said they barely know this kind of stuff.
One thing to consider when you're wearing your bitcoin shirt is that you are potential target for theft or scams, that's because it will attract their attention and may assume that you have significant amounts of bitcoin.
