We have different perspectives on retirement.
As for me, my definition of retirement is that you can do everything that you want without any hindrances whatsoever.

Retirement for me doesn't mean that you will stop working because as long as you can still work, as much as possible work for you to get money. Retirement for me means that you can do everything of your own free will. Some want to do something but they can't because they have a 9-5 job. I've seen many old people who are still working even though they are at the age where they can retire because they love what they're doing. That's my other definition of retirement. To do everything that you love of your own free will without thinking of anything that will just make you stressed.

Overall, different people have different definitions of retirement, but if you can still work for some reason then at least work as long as you love what you're doing.

If they are not amongst the two aforementioned, there won’t be a case of retirement unless the person is not capable of working again due to a disability or aging. If you love your job and wanted to continue working that would be fine as long as the employer continue to hire you. For me, the term retirement refers to not being forced to do any work, so that if I do not go to work, I will not struggle to pay the rent or buy the necessities of the day. It may not necessarily mean getting older as much as having enough money for the rest of my life if I decide to live a normal life. To my understanding, retirement means to stop working actively for money and that's doing your regular 9-5 jobs or still doing a job that needs your presence for it to function properly. You can retire, yet you're still working but it won't be the job you retired from. Retirement doesn't mean you'll stop making money as when you plan your life very well, you can make more money when you retire.

You can use your retirement funds to invest in businesses that can either bring cashflow or capital gains for you. Retirement gives you time to focus on other things and you can use your hobby to build wealth which is something you won't have been able to do when you were still actively working. We're so out of touch with financial education that we don't know other means to generate income apart from salary. We have different ways we can make money without having to be actively working to earn salary like from passive income, cashflow, capital gains from investment and so on. Retirement is actually good then been bad as people make it to look like and to enjoy our retirement, we have to start planning from now on how we want our retirement days to be like whether we want it to be work free or still want to be doing smaller jobs to keep the cash coming in.

I don't know how's life in other country but in here where I live, nowadays I don't think retirement is still that much relevant. I could divide people into two groups, the first one is people who doesn't has many option for their job just took any job, most of the time low-paying job, they most likely hate their job, but they can't afford retirement because there is no money left from their salary to be saved. The other group is people who are people who can get the job that they like and they keep working even after the age of retirement, even after they quit their job they still working sometimes as a consultant, even tho they can afford retirement they do not completely retired.

My country's life is similar to you, Because i see here also two groups likes Government job and private job, In government job, they look forward to their retirement because they get a lot of money, On the other hand in private job holders didn't nothing because they have no provident fund, but not every private companies, I see top private companies have good rules.

In our area retirement indicates that people have entered sufficient work period as given by the company and the government, they will get compensation in the form of security deposits from the workplace. Usually working in the government sector has a guarantee of old age so that many people in our area are competing to find this job. There are many things that can be done when entering retirement and taking some money to build a business or just enjoy old age.

Like I read about the saying that. The best job one is offered is the he/she finds pleasure in doing because you are liable to work overtime and even under pressures and the multitasking without feeling thr loads of stresses.

Currently I am still working, but I already have an idea of what I will do when I retire so that I can stay active and earn extra money besides my pension.
And we will definitely experience retirement and like it or not we will have to retire even though we still want to work and earn an income, even though we are still strong and healthy.

I disagree with you buddy. Retirement is a total departure of the nature of work you do. When you retire it does not mean you have totally stop working it only means your done with the nature and level of work effort you have been putting in a particular job or skill. With retirement i feel like you can do more of the managerial aspect or create your own business by then you only super sees the business, nurture it and watch it grow. So your not doing the hard labor because you have to employ individuals who will do it for you. By so doing your are still working while you have retired. There will be a time where you could pass down the company or business to your heirs and have a share in it. By this time you are not even do the managerial part anymore, your heirs runs it and gives you your shares at the stipulated time period.
