Oh, that and so many other things as well. Come to think of it, I haven't read an entertaining, excuse- and apology-filled ban appeal thread in quite some time. A year and a half ago or thereabouts Meta used to be filled with them, but those types of threads have become kind of scarce. Has anyone else noticed that or is it just me?

It's pretty much like the old times, in our youthful days; if we told a lie and it was beginning to get sour, we'd be toast.. For that reason, we'd constantly build some other rehabilitations... I'll barely be able convince a 7 year old kid into feeling empathy with an impossible one like, say -- "
oh yeah my mum? She swallowed a shovel yesterday and she's in the theater for an operation" right? Now that's exactly how their cookie-cutter stories sound like..!!
GreatOrchid, regardless of the fairness of the forum, it doesn't apply in your case unless you get rejected after pointing out a substantially constructive post you've made (as others have pointed out to you). Personally I think this offer of a second chance is being way too soft on banned members, and a permaban should truly be permanent. I'd wish you good luck, but that would be insincere.
