Anyway, I've never bought a lot of Dogecoin that I could say is a decent investment, just enough to ride the hype as I am also a victim of buying cheap coins before. That's all where the hype started when cheap coins were being bought and they made trends about it. I can say that Doge was a lost investment but somehow I still made use of those coins in my gambling activities, unlike my other altcoins that have no usage anymore.
I believe that's the good part about buying old coins with a reputation. Even if you keep them for so long you can still use them on different platforms, like I said the gambling sites are also accepting them and the transaction fees are cheap so there's no worry about deposits and withdrawals. I am not expecting anything in Dogecoin anymore, there's a broad competition in the crypto industry today so it would be difficult for it to be pumped again.

Probably a lot of people become victim of the hype and bought in reaching almost $1 before. Some of people farm it through faucets so the hype is really inevitable but too sad that many got sting with it. I myself traded it during the hype but able to profit some but not to the extent that I almost all in since its overbought already. Still expensive for now actually considering the price of this during early times.

Well in the first place it was kind of dumb to believe that after all that hype you'd still believe that Elon will somehow push the coin to another moon. That's just wishful thinking. If it were before the hype then sure, good for you. If it were during? Recipe for disaster. Hoping for it to go back to those days? More recipes for disaster. I would've honestly probably bought some if I knew it before the Elon hype though tbf. I mean its a Shiba Inu coin, which is pretty cute if you ask me.

considering Dogecoin RIP is an unhealthy thought, you need to see how the price will move later. remember that dogecoin fans are elon musk and this will have a big influence later. but it seems you are too greedy if you don't sell when the profit is in sight. OP I haven't invested in Dogecoin yet and haven't lost any money investing in Dogecoin. I started my investment journey with Bitcoin. I only invested in ENJ coin altcoin for a short time but since there was a loss I later sold at a loss and bought bitcoin. Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin but the market grew a lot thanks to Elon musk efforts. Whether Dogecoin will regain its peak value is yet to be said for sure. However, my long-term belief is that Dogecoin can recover its value if the Bitcoin market is pumped to its maximum. But must be patient until recovery. Since you invested Dogecoin, you have no choice but to be patient.

That's nice and don't ever attempt to. But with this thread here, you're going to distance your self evenly on such meme coin. You have a good start. If only you stick with it, you won't ever experience a loss. ENJ is a good altcoin before but maybe not anymore now, so your decision of selling it a loss, may be a alright.

Dogecoin was originally a meme coin but later on it became a shitcoin because it is being manipulated easily by the influencial people and one of it is Elon Musk. With that said, you shouldn't thank him. I'm sorry but I'm against your belief. Dogecoin investors has actually another choice, and that is they can sell at a loss. They shouldn't wait longer as the loss can only add up.

If Dogecoin investors have invested from the peak price, selling them now at a loss will result in huge losses. Because we have seen Dogecoin hit as high as 0.78$ from here if investors invest then sell at the current position then their invested funds are totally destroyed. But even then there is nothing to do because you have to trade with profit and loss. I don't think Dogecoin will recover its price. If recovery is not possible then there is no point in sitting unnecessarily with this Dogecoin. It's best to sell what can be sold and focus on other coins if necessary to recoup losses by investing slowly.

I sold ENJ at a loss and focused on ORDI coins from where I have been taking constant profits. So the decision to sell my ENJ at a loss was a very good decision.

I don't know your investment plan at that time cause everyone literally have their plan, it seems you followed the trend and I guess your intention was for the long term, you actually made a mistake cause when looking for coin to invest in long term you should consider potential coins to avoid loss in your investment, people who actually invested for quick profit (short term) at that time when dogecoin was having value they made some profit. That is while we need to think very deep before investing in any coin or newly projects, its not encouraging that you invest because people are investing and you doesn't care to know the rudiments of the projects before investing, their is some certain things that is involve in cryptocurrency investment and if you don't understand it you will not be able to scale through for your investment, what mattered most in any cryptocurrency investment is research, because people did not research properly about dogecoin and they invest due to the name came out with very big hype, so that is what triggers so many people today to invest in dogecoin now dogecoin is like abandoned projects it's not accelerating the way it was. Trust me I'm not a huge doge proponent but it's in too many hands at this point to just die unless something major happened.  Doge percentage wise is down just like most all other altcoins.  It will see a pump when bitcoin starts mooning again just like every other cycle.  Because of the endless 10k minted coins each minute it will eventually stop going up because supply will outweigh demand.

Whenever somebody get deprived of cash due to investment in any coin then he never trust that coin and I assume that you have lost some cash due to investment in dogecoin. Sometime there is no mistake of a coin but most of the time a person cannot identify a lethal timing on which they commit to put on sale their coin therefore they make inexact decision.

Don't sell holded coin and in my judgement everyone should hold dogecoin until coming bull season as doge will become more yielding. There are some people who don't search concerning coin and they want to put some cash in that coin without finding out about its coming time therefore it is unavoidable to first explore about the coin and don't follow the price surging coin.

The better way to reduce your losses is that if you are in doubt about the success of doge or any other altcoin then you should put money into Bitcoin because it can increase your trust as well as minimise your loss. We should not consider dogecoin as blameworthy but decide following the market order.

I've never lost as a result of doge. Because until now I have never bought doge. But it looks like I will buy it in the next few days or weeks. Because soon the bullish market will definitely arrive and I will prepare for it. Because I'm sure Doge will definitely have another price increase when the market is bullish later. This situation of you losing money would have happened with any other altcoin or even with Bitcoin itself during the phase of FOMO, all this is about recognizing when one is still in a healthy position to jump into the train and buy a position or it has become too late for one to get a good position and perhaps just consider to short once you feel the bull market has come to an end.

Dogecoin is not a coin which is going to suddenly fail or disappear any time soon, by the way, to me it has transcendent the status of a shitcoins and actually become a project which has the backing of a full and wide community behind it for it to continue to increase in value in the coming years. While it is true Doge does not have a limited supply and that may okay gainst your position, it is still too early to give up on such a project.

I have also had some bitter-sweet experiences with Doge, with have led me to stop holding it, but it was not because I was at loss with my positions, but rather because I could not time my exit strategy as I wanted, and I still feel salty to this day on how I missed even bigger wins.

Have you only bought doge coins throughout history? I always underline the word cheap, not cheap on the surface and compare with other coins, but I always compare that the coin is down from its usual price and see files for consolidation. I sell doge on the rise maybe between 3-6 times the rise, because my detection when it continues to break the lower price of the nearest bottom I sell there, not just for doge. Some investors when pumping even expect hundreds of times, I wonder if the logical profit is not what is being sought? doge proof of the seriousness of the project meme also other factors also support but if it is destroyed even to disappear it is unlikely to happen, if the founder does his job well and there is no criminal element I think no matter how difficult the doge market will survive even to return to the lowest bottom it is difficult to decline even in the long run.

those getting fomo'd by elon shill are definitely buying at peak, its what happen when someone get fomo'd they will just gonna buy the coin even when its already kinda overpriced.
not to mention with meme coin like doge coin where the market capitalization is already too high, if someone is buying at peak, then they are in for decades of waiting if there's no significant shill from elon musk coming again.
there has been rumour about the integration of meme coin towards elon future financial apps though but its after all just a rumour.

We should be careful enough to know the value of these projects before investing. Elon Musk was the main reason most traders and investors anticipated in dogecoin projects, everyone hope for good pumps because we have one of the power and top whales handling the project, Elon Musk. Instead he did what he had to do only for his own interest and that of his close associates, so before the information could fly out to the trends, the project dump heavily and its now dormant as never before. Though it still makes runs but they don't stand any chance of succeeding to good standards of the market.

Pretty sure you are one of the many people who bought dogecoin when Elon Musk used his power to influence the market which made the price of this meme coin rise very high and now it has fallen at least 80% from the last ATH, but for those who invested when the price of dogecoin it's still very cheap and even they can get it for free and quickly via the faucet, they will still consider this meme coin to be one of the coins that give them big profits.
The lesson is to never buy coins when the price is already high because we never know when whales will dump their coins in the market, because they have reached the desired profit target and that's what whales always do, collect them when they are still cheap, influence the market and dump them away when they have made big profits.
Sorry for the loss you experienced but there are many more losses in other meme coins such as Shiba Inu and all coins that use the name of Inu in front or behind the name of the coin.

Investment in memecoins are not easy as you are not rest assured you will make good profits from them. Investing in memecoins is more of investing blindly only with the hope of getting profits, very risky even with your speculations and considering the hype from the team will make you invest even more and most times ends up in tragedy.
