OP, your write up shows you have lose hope in Dogecoin. Remember this is crypto and the coin involved is an altcoin. Don't be surprise if you see a sudden rise in it during the coming bullrun. Losses from investing in dogecoin come from the belief that the richest man in the world will help you become rich, and since he recommended buying dogecoin, this means that it is the future, especially with many who promote that Elon Musk is a successful man and all the projects that he was in or supported achieved. OP I haven't invested in Dogecoin yet and haven't lost any money investing in Dogecoin. I started my investment journey with Bitcoin. I only invested in ENJ coin altcoin for a short time but since there was a loss I later sold at a loss and bought bitcoin. Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin but the market grew a lot thanks to Elon musk efforts. Whether Dogecoin will regain its peak value is yet to be said for sure. However, my long-term belief is that Dogecoin can recover its value if the Bitcoin market is pumped to its maximum. But must be patient until recovery. Since you invested Dogecoin, you have no choice but to be patient.

It always sucks to take a bath on a crypto investment, but ultimately you have to remember that nobody put a gun to your head and make you buy Dogecoin. Buying it at 60 cents when it had already risen so dramatically earlier that year turned out to be a technically unsound decision. I don't blame you for wanting to jump in on the Elon hype train -- it just turns out that you jumped in at the worst possible time.

Yep, the greater the doubt and loss of patience that leads to giving up on the holding plan according to the OP's own strategy, will also lead to price recovery processes. Although I am not a big fan of this cryptocurrency, I understand the developments surrounding it, and it seems similar to many other cryptocurrencies that are susceptible to price manipulation through news. Take a look if you have faith in it, and also accept the fact that it does not require trust or doubt from an individual.

Not yet, we can't get an RIP doge coin yet because there's still little hope for dodge coin, it's still listed on major exchanges and there's still a good project behind it so let's keep some anticipations in to the next bull run and if it turns out it still remains stagnant amidst the next bull run then we can say it's time we could say letting go of the coin for the moment will be ideal probably until it starts it's movement again to the upwards direction.

Doge is a meme coin, during that time I only focused on buying Bitcoin and top altcoins in the market so I didn't get to invest in doge. I feel bad that you have invested at a higher value. But don't lose hope, we are not in the bull season, doge will probably be one of those altcoins that will make a rally. For the fact that you lose money on a certain coin does not mean that the coin is bad, you need to check your investment strategy and make sure you don't invest in projects that have already skyrocketed and soon waiting for the price to depreciate. A lots of people do get it weing and they will not adjust there investment strategy so that they don't end up losing big from the market. The market is big and the only way we can make profits from the market is when we invest at the early stage. That is the stage when the market will turn a good leave.

What a story, but one thing that I can denote out of this is that you were a novice at that time, nothing more. You probably acted according to what people said and the FOMO which is not advisable in the market decisions took hold of you. The best in trading is for you to first understand what you are getting yourself involved in, traders/investors should not just jump into coins or any assets simply because people are saying so. Are you new to crypto because I remember seeing dogecoin below 0.01$ when I’m still newbie here in the forum. Your narrative looks like you just enter during the last bullrun while Dogecoin is one of the oldest coin in crypto which the price hover below. 1cent for a long time before it goes to 60cent mark like the story you are describing.

All of this was thanks to Elon Musk alone. Five years ago, DOGE was worth less than a cent and nobody could imagine that it could grow so much. Probably a lot of people lost money when doge was worth 30-40-50 cents. But just as many people were able to make good profits.

Sorry for your loss, but don't get defeated for this reason. Money can be recovered through so many different ways. If you discipline yourself and work towards the goals you have in mind, besides recovering what you lost with DOGE, you can also achieve much more. Most of us here have already lost money in crypto universe at some point and what remains from negative experiences is the learnship.

Next time, be more careful to not fall for shining deceiving promises and endorsements from manipulative whales like Elon Musk. I'm sure he didn't have losses when investing in DOGE, but in order to make profit for himself, he threw lots of investors like you on the fire... Also, don't expect a lot from memecoins. I was sort of new to investing at the time, I only have invested for a year before the dogecoin rise, and before I knew not much about it, and didn't really care for some altcoins. Me, and I know other people too, seen that dogecoin was rising, and the marketing such as "Dogecoin to the moon" or "dogecoin to $1" was pretty convincing. It is my fault for investing into it at such a high price, I just regret not caring for altcoins at the time though, would've made a decent amount of money.

I did, back in 2014 I bought it 220 sat/1 doge because there was a news dogecoin sponsored one of Nascar team.
In the end, the team finish 20th out of 43.
The doge price was not rising at all before and after the race, 2 or 3 weeks later it crash to 60 sat and it forced me to dump the coin.

I never buy doge again since that time but I think the doge will be still alive for a few years ahead.

I didn't lose but RIP is pretty much odd stance on it. It has always peaked when altcoin season starts and dropped, with more volatility then most coins out there. And now when price is stabilized again it's rip? That doesn't make any sense when you look at the history. And you really have to zoom in as new peak always makes the old ones look like nothing. But they were insane when you look at percentually growth. Dogecoin wouldn't die even if everyone wanted so. And most people has wanted it since the start. As it was the original nonsese shitcoin. It just gained credibility as it wasn't never to be taken seriously. Not even the developer of it saw this weird cult of dogecoin coming. So i have accepted that it might never die. Wee see the effect of Elon supporting this coin since it really create a massive hype since people can't imagine that the top one richest man on earth will show a support to a coin and many think that it can create some huge adoption just like what happen to bitcoin that's why it creates a huge spike of price and it reach to his past ATH which old Doge holder became so rich quickly. Anyway, I've never bought a lot of Dogecoin that I could say is a decent investment, just enough to ride the hype as I am also a victim of buying cheap coins before. That's all where the hype started when cheap coins were being bought and they made trends about it. I can say that Doge was a lost investment but somehow I still made use of those coins in my gambling activities, unlike my other altcoins that have no usage anymore.
I believe that's the good part about buying old coins with a reputation. Even if you keep them for so long you can still use them on different platforms, like I said the gambling sites are also accepting them and the transaction fees are cheap so there's no worry about deposits and withdrawals. Well in the first place it was kind of dumb to believe that after all that hype you'd still believe that Elon will somehow push the coin to another moon. That's just wishful thinking. OP I haven't invested in Dogecoin yet and haven't lost any money investing in Dogecoin. I started my investment journey with Bitcoin. I only invested in ENJ coin altcoin for a short time but since there was a loss I later sold at a loss and bought bitcoin. Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin but the market grew a lot thanks to Elon musk efforts. Whether Dogecoin will regain its peak value is yet to be said for sure. I don't know your investment plan at that time cause everyone literally have their plan, it seems you followed the trend and I guess your intention was for the long term, you actually made a mistake cause when looking for coin to invest in long term you should consider potential coins to avoid loss in your investment, people who actually invested for quick profit (short term) at that time when dogecoin was having value they made some profit. Trust me I'm not a huge doge proponent but it's in too many hands at this point to just die unless something major happened.  Doge percentage wise is down just like most all other altcoins.  It will see a pump when bitcoin starts mooning again just like every other cycle.  Because of the endless 10k minted coins each minute it will eventually stop going up because supply will outweigh demand.

Don't sell holded coin and in my judgement everyone should hold dogecoin until coming bull season as doge will become more yielding. I've never lost as a result of doge. Because until now I have never bought doge. But it looks like I will buy it in the next few days or weeks. This situation of you losing money would have happened with any other altcoin or even with Bitcoin itself during the phase of FOMO, all this is about recognizing when one is still in a healthy position to jump into the train and buy a position or it has become too late for one to get a good position and perhaps just consider to short once you feel the bull market has come to an end.

Dogecoin is not a coin which is going to suddenly fail or disappear any time soon, by the way, to me it has transcendent the status of a shitcoins and actually become a project which has the backing of a full and wide community behind it for it to continue to increase in value in the coming years. While it is true Doge does not have a limited supply and that may okay gainst your position, it is still too early to give up on such a project.

I always underline the word cheap, not cheap on the surface and compare with other coins, but I always compare that the coin is down from its usual price and see files for consolidation. I sell doge on the rise maybe between 3-6 times the rise, because my detection when it continues to break the lower price of the nearest bottom I sell there, not just for doge. We should be careful enough to know the value of these projects before investing. Pretty sure you are one of the many people who bought dogecoin when Elon Musk used his power to influence the market which made the price of this meme coin rise very high and now it has fallen at least 80% from the last ATH, but for those who invested when the price of dogecoin it's still very cheap and even they can get it for free and quickly via the faucet, they will still consider this meme coin to be one of the coins that give them big profits.
The lesson is to never buy coins when the price is already high because we never know when whales will dump their coins in the market, because they have reached the desired profit target and that's what whales always do, collect them when they are still cheap, influence the market and dump them away when they have made big profits.

Even though your fine fine with current lose you encounter with Dogecoin still its a waste of opportunity to earn since imagine if we just sell it when ATH still there you could possibly secure a lot of profit with that. Looking at many of the altcoins we have in the market now, we need to be very careful how long we are holding them. Doge coin is a good projects and we can decide to hold it but we should be more focused on the profits aspect. We should go in fully for the profits alone not to hold for as long as possible.

I remember when DOGE was worth less than $0.01. It was often overlooked by many because of its inexpensiveness and ever-growing supply. After all, the creators of the coin said it was nothing more than a "joke". It took one man to lead the cryptocurrency all the way to fame. If I knew someone like Elon Musk was going to endorse the "meme" coin, I would've bought lots of DOGE to sell it after the "big pump". While I didn't lose any money, I also didn't make any.

I regret not taking the opportunity of a lifetime to become filthy rich. Perhaps, that's why new "meme" coins began to appear. best opportunity of course to buy when the price hitting bottom like you, but I guess we might no see that bottom again from here on for the simple fact that we are currently at bullish and yes at the price point it still might be well worth it to buy the coin but honestly, we never know with meme coin because the latest rally almost all altcoin have some big rally and they are hitting above 50% even go as far as almost ten times initial price like basically solana. but most of meme coin are kinda unfazed not moving from its price from where they got stuck after their massive meme coin pump back then.

One should not miss the opportunity to invest in dogecoin because Bull season is very close so already beneficial coins will show promising future. Dogecoin is now increasing and will definitely be a good coin although risk is analogues with each and every coin of Crypto market due to unique feature of unstability.

I am one of those who experienced losses due to Dogecoin investment. I was wrong in my thinking because at that time I thought Dogecoin was backed by the richest man in the world so there was a chance it would become popular. Op you sound like someone who really believe in the coin before it's price start depreciating, anyway sorry for your loss. Memecoin are the trending coins in this era, but the problem is, after attaining a good height in price, they tend to turn backwards or crash to price zero. I have not tried investing in meme coins not to even talk of other altcoins, the risk associated is not worth trying for me. However I don't think there is any hope of dogecoin regaining it's price to ATH any time sooner, but if you still feel like investing in memecoin I'll advise you look for another one.

Oh, sorry about that, I never lost in any cryptocurrency, and the reason is that I have been around of the investment for a long, so I got to know when the dangers are coming. Dogecoin was a very good name in the last bull run and opened the door for many other meme tokens due to its success. Many made their millions of dollars with a few thousand, this is just as some would lose too. The only difference here is that some are more informed than other people while the other people are lucky as some might even gamble in the market and still get to win. But really, it is good that we know what we do in the market, not that we just gamble our money, that is what causes many losses. Imagine those who were just hearing of dodge coin when it is nearing its all-time peak.

Such would believe that since others are making money from it, they too can. Elon Musk deceive everyone and made some of you guys think Doge is going to be the next bitcoin. I think in investment-based businesses, having an exit plan ready rather than a perfect entry is more important. You can buy the token anytime and but the exit plan should be based on what you think about the project and for how long you can hold it. I have seen people take late entries into shiba inu but exit with massive profits because they had a perfect plan and executed that plan perfectly. Although meme coin should be avoided for being super risky altcoin investment category but if you see short term profit and willing to take the risk you can try your luck.

If the timing is incorrect then expect to experience huge losses,  not just for doge who really get that huge pump before it was dump back, many investors who rides on this project on that time that the  market still pumping earned decently while those who placed their position late suffered from big losses,  it's the timing that matter,  though if you still trust the project you can buy and hold or if disappointment already dominate you then forget about it and move forward.

Everybody wants to make money. It doesn't matter what kind of investment people get into, as long as they get a lot of money in return. Foolish investors bought DOGE hoping it would further increase in price after Elon Musk's endorsement. But things have been going the "wrong way" for quite some time now. The "meme" coin is unable to get close to its ATH of nearly $1. It will never get there, unless BTC turns bullish for a long period of time.

Consider yourself lucky if you got into Dogecoin before the "pump" of 2021. You would be in "the loss" if you bought the coin during its ATH. It's not recommended to go all in right now due to market uncertainty. Without use cases for Dogecoin, I'm afraid it will be heading back to sub $0.01 prices. It was good while it lasted, right?
