Who here was one of the people who invested into dogecoin while it was around the 60 cent mark, and wanted it to go up even higher, but then ended up losing a ton of money? OP, your write up shows you have lose hope in Dogecoin. Remember this is crypto and the coin involved is an altcoin. Don't be surprise if you see a sudden rise in it during the coming bullrun. It's past history shows it has went down this far during the past bear season and still come up again, so never conclude on a RIP degecoin, just be patient till the next bullrun

Losses from investing in dogecoin come from the belief that the richest man in the world will help you become rich, and since he recommended buying dogecoin, this means that it is the future, especially with many who promote that Elon Musk is a successful man and all the projects that he was in or supported achieved. Amazing success over the last 10 years.
Investing is very superficial without knowing when the user will sell, and as the price of Bitcoin increases, his greed increases and he buys more, only to suddenly find that everything has collapsed in value and that he did not use his mind before thinking about investing.

OP I haven't invested in Dogecoin yet and haven't lost any money investing in Dogecoin. I started my investment journey with Bitcoin. I only invested in ENJ coin altcoin for a short time but since there was a loss I later sold at a loss and bought bitcoin. Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin but the market grew a lot thanks to Elon musk efforts. Whether Dogecoin will regain its peak value is yet to be said for sure. However, my long-term belief is that Dogecoin can recover its value if the Bitcoin market is pumped to its maximum. But must be patient until recovery. Since you invested Dogecoin, you have no choice but to be patient.

there might be some price increases associated with the upcoming halving of bitcoin but i don’t think it can go back to its previous high prices at least until next year it can still go up but it won’t be happening in the short-term

It always sucks to take a bath on a crypto investment, but ultimately you have to remember that nobody put a gun to your head and make you buy Dogecoin. Buying it at 60 cents when it had already risen so dramatically earlier that year turned out to be a technically unsound decision. I don't blame you for wanting to jump in on the Elon hype train -- it just turns out that you jumped in at the worst possible time.

Having said that, I do believe DOGE could eventually reclaim its former glory. It all depends on how things shake out with this Doginals stuff that is currently flooding blocks, and if Elon still considers it worthy for integrating with X as a result of it.

Certainly, the individuals who bought it for long term investment purpose in 2021 when its price reached its all time high (ATH) at around $0.70,  are currently in losses. Even if they bought more coins on dips to reduce their cost of investment by using Dollar cost Average (DCA), the decline in its value persisted. Its hype in 2021 was mainly attributed due to Elon Musk involvement in this cryptocurrency, which seems to be diminishing now.

Yep, the greater the doubt and loss of patience that leads to giving up on the holding plan according to the OP's own strategy, will also lead to price recovery processes. Although I am not a big fan of this cryptocurrency, I understand the developments surrounding it, and it seems similar to many other cryptocurrencies that are susceptible to price manipulation through news. Take a look if you have faith in it, and also accept the fact that it does not require trust or doubt from an individual.

So if you have your own thoughts and decisions, keep believing in them. Even if that decision doesn't go according to plan, going through it many times will still give you valuable experience to observe again.

Why you think that dogecoin is going anywhere soon? This is the memecoin that is here to stay and it has a wide network of its community and is still active to this time. Those that have lost money on dogecoin can still make up some recovery as we are about to get into the bull run. And with this, everyone believes that most cryptos and meme coins including dogecoin will have its move upwards too. But that is not a financial advise but an opinion.

So sorry you fell for one of those, everyone here has his/her own experience with different Altcoins or memecoins all you have to do is just to bear the loss and accept the fact that it may never grow up to that extent which you entered into the market. It may happen but the chances involve is extremely low, it has benefited those who were early investors as this is the only chance of getting any better profit guess you were too late to making your investment.

For this bull run coming due to Bitcoin influence you just have to pray it recovers, definitely the price will go up due to Bitcoin halving but might not be as much expected for you to make profits. Next time before investing in memecoins, we should be even more careful.

Not yet, we can't get an RIP doge coin yet because there's still little hope for dodge coin, it's still listed on major exchanges and there's still a good project behind it so let's keep some anticipations in to the next bull run and if it turns out it still remains stagnant amidst the next bull run then we can say it's time we could say letting go of the coin for the moment will be ideal probably until it starts it's movement again to the upwards direction.

I have had mixed experience with Doge but I was aware like most of the members who has been in this industry for a while that Doge coin is nothing just a meme and got the craze because of Elon Musk's manipulation and it was supposed to end someday and it happened quicker than expected and lot of people lost huge amount of money. I would say this coin has nothing to offer and popularized by Elon and it went down with him, unless there are any major by him and steps taken to include Doge in his project's ecosystem which looks very unlikely. Doge is a meme coin, during that time I only focused on buying Bitcoin and top altcoins in the market so I didn't get to invest in doge. I feel bad that you have invested at a higher value. But don't lose hope, we are not in the bull season, doge will probably be one of those altcoins that will make a rally. Investing in doge is risky but if ever it makes a comeback and you already made a profit, grab that chance and sell your holdings. Don't make the same mistake twice.

For the fact that you lose money on a certain coin does not mean that the coin is bad, you need to check your investment strategy and make sure you don't invest in projects that have already skyrocketed and soon waiting for the price to depreciate. A lots of people do get it weing and they will not adjust there investment strategy so that they don't end up losing big from the market. The market is big and the only way we can make profits from the market is when we invest at the early stage. That is the stage when the market will turn a good leave.

This is an Elon project so there will come a time that it will pumped in the future. Most of the coins have different timeline maybe its not time for it to pump. To be honest, I lose some of the money. It was that time, when Elon Musk just supported doge and it just boomed in price. I didn’t trust Elon Musk, nor the dogecoins, hence I didn’t buy it. But later on when the price fell down and it was going up frequently, I thought to buy the coins and cashout some profit from it. But sadly when I bought the coins at cheap price, it didn’t go up and rather it fell in more price. Hence for that I suffered from some losses. From that day, I promised myself to not go for these shitty altcoins.

That's nice and don't ever attempt to. But with this thread here, you're going to distance your self evenly on such meme coin. You have a good start. If only you stick with it, you won't ever experience a loss. ENJ is a good altcoin before but maybe not anymore now, so your decision of selling it a loss, may be a alright.

Dogecoin was originally a meme coin but later on it became a shitcoin because it is being manipulated easily by the influencial people and one of it is Elon Musk. With that said, you shouldn't thank him. I'm sorry but I'm against your belief. Dogecoin investors has actually another choice, and that is they can sell at a loss. They shouldn't wait longer as the loss can only add up.

Did you buy it at the peak? I don't know, but just prepare for the worst I guess.

The last time DOGE reached the $0.60 price was wen Elon Musk promoted it, and that made investors very excited (including you I guess) thus, bought at the top hoping that Musk would be the reason for the coin to reach a dollar. Unfortunately, many of those who expected are now at a loss because the price of DOGE went down a few days after reaching its peak. DOGE's price doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Maybe it can during the bull run. I mean many of the top altcoins increase in price during the bull run and that might include DOGE.

Just wait for the bull run I guess then sell at that time to lessen your losses or maybe gain some profit if you're lucky. DOGE isn't doomed, and still be one of the best meme coins out there, but don't hold it for the long term, or at least I don't recommend it.
