The future of Bitcoin as digital currency

Not only the OP but many people also have similar thoughts, they idolize and consider bitcoin as a supreme being that will help them solve all problems. This is a consequence of many people spreading bitcoin in an exaggerated way, many people only spreading the benefits of bitcoin such as only talking about profits, decentralization...and they don't mention the risks of owning bitcoin.

Honestly, spreading bitcoin is a good thing but we also need to share everything about bitcoin with them, spread the truth and not exaggerate bitcoin more than necessary to newbies. That won't help and it will even harm newbies, and won't make bitcoin any better.

What makes me sad about posts like these is that the price of Bitcoin could fall drastically just like any other highly volatile investment. Then all of these people will be wiped out because they were told Bitcoin only goes up and never goes down, like it's some kind of magic asset.

And what's even more galling to me is that this has already happened in the past, wherein Bitcoin dropped by half in price. Yet people here still talk about it like it's a way to make money "forever".

What this is setting up is that, when the price of Bitcoin does fall, then people will think it's terrible and they've been cheated...

i was reading a thread the with title bitcoin surpasses silver and i would say give it a fair time you will see it will gold market cap as well. i have seen it surpassing many big companies market cap which is big achievement of bitcoin.

Everyone who has bought Bitcoin at low prices and is still holding it today, of course that is very good and has also changed their lives financially. I consider this a victory for those who still faithfully hold Bitcoin that was purchased at a low price, because such people must really believe in Bitcoin and would feel it would be a shame to exchange it again at a price that is not high enough. And for other things, it is also possible that Bitcoin could surpass the market capitalization of precious metals such as gold because Bitcoin will continue to be better than any currency.

Right now bitcoin is highly disappointing to me.  I have always held the belief (even though some or many disagree with) that in order for bitcoin to truly be adopted/utilized by the masses, than it needs to be able to be used as currency, even for micro transactions.  I really wish the Devs would fix the issues with the meme pool being clogged ( fn ordinals).

Yes, dear i do agree with you and i used to think that those who have traded their Bitcoin at very low prices must repenting these days when it is going to make its new all time high like they just trade it for sake of some money haha... well what can they do as well right as there is no one who can predict the future 100% correct. Things changes time to time and keeping developing. As you aforementioned "those who have still holding it faithfully" will be very happy in present today.

The freedom Bitcoin gives has been one of the reasons it gains quick adoption by investor  who are looking to have an investment independent of any form of regulation or control by any body or government while it still maintains a good profit yield over the period of the investment, if this freedom is taken away from Bitcoin it's very possible a good number of investors may find alternative investment which could avail them such a freedom but then the future of Bitcoin is not looking like such that will loose the freedom that comes with investing in Bitcoin.

Dreams can be achieved with Bitcoin which includes getting rich too but then it's not a quick means, just like you stated you will have to learn about it and work hard towards achieving your dream with Bitcoin and I'm sure there's more possiblity around it than you may know.

Devs already proposed a solution to the "Ordinals problem". It involves filtering TXs related to Ordinals by tweaking the node software a bit. But doing so would bring censorship into the BTC blockchain. Raising the block size is not a solution, but rather an aggravation to the current issue. It will give more room/space for the "attacker" to keep flooding the network with Ordinals inscriptions. So either we move to the LN, or an altcoin with lower network congestion.

I think it's too late for Bitcoin to be used as digital currency. Especially when institutional investors joined the craze. They consider Bitcoin as a store of value. Why would they change their perception of it anytime soon? I'm sure developers will keep BTC as is just to please the wealthy instead of average people like you and me. Only time will tell. The future can't be predicted, so lets hope for the best.

One would hope the Bitcoin community acts in the best interests of the project. Not Wall Street. I know Michael Saylor and Elon Musk want Ordinals to stay on the BTC blockchain. But the decisions lies in the hands of the community. That includes average people like you and me. And let me tell you, the vast majority won't like worthless NFTs that would cause a huge spike on network fees. We all want cheaper fees so we can use Bitcoin on a daily basis. Just like money.

If fees stay high, Bitcoin would only be used as a store of value (like Gold). The future of the pioneer cryptocurrency is uncertain. Time will tell what will happen with BTC. At least, we have plenty of options to choose from.

Firstly, freedom means economic freedom as you will have complete control over your money and cryptocurrency has basically opened this facility to everyone.
Secondly, it is not a crime to be born poor, but it is definitely a crime to die poor, according to learned people. Because if you are born poor you can certainly become rich through your actions but if you are born poor you will die poor is completely wrong.

To be real you must have had something very interesting to say but I guess you didn't well construct your post, lots of things I didn't understand.

I totally disagree with that quote, if your born poor you must not die poor instead somebody rich has to be born out of you and that your responsibility, even without bitcoin many of us here won't be poor and I don't think bitcoin investors or holders do it because they want to come out of poverty, it's such a lame belief, bitcoin is only a good source for us to get good profits on our investment and more over it's future money if you ask me, it's designed not to suffer from inflation like fait, do with bitcoin I am certain that my one bitcoin would always equal the value of 1 bitcoin in every time,unlike fait that 10 dollar of yesterday is now worth even lesser.

Most people invest in bitcoin for the empowerment it offers than as a means to redeem you from poverty, bitcoin can't save you from poverty, it can only offer you a means to make profit and store value , you can only gain wealth out of bitcoin if you do the right thing by continuous accumulation and holding, you would remain poor if you are not in this cartegory.

OK I actually got what you were trying to say, you just wanna release Bitcoin with humanity, believing in future working hard to Money and purchase Bitcoin as one of the future currency. I don’t actually know if I got your point right but I just give you a hint of what I feel because you did not make your point clear, yes it is always good to work hard and whichever way you can work to earn Bitcoin,it is always important. bitcoin is a digital currency that has massive future, is the dream of digital world d. in the aspect of if someone is born poor, whether you are poor or rich if you are aware of bitcoin and you try to have some that is definitely OK for you because you make profits in future you also need the capital to bitcoin into your wallet, so all depends on personal decision.
