The United States casino business is quite lucrative but it can also fail as a business model sometime.

I remember famously Trump had a huge failure with his casino ventures once and to this day it's studied as an example of bad corporate management and investment.

Starting with good wages is good for the workers and I imagine some talented individuals would end up seeking to work there, but such a huge venture can be risky and potentially have those pursuing it left with a gap on their career if they abandon more stable opportunities for it. The question is, are the applicants they will hire also residents of their area, or will they accept other foreigners who will apply for their casino business?

If you read the article, the President of the casino stated that they are in talks with the community in regards to employment. That means they are giving priority to locals first before employing foreigners. From a community standpoint, it’s only fair they drive local inclusion into the company economy since the casino will be making their money from the community.

Pretty sure there will be a lot of requirements to the jobs they will offer. Nonetheless, it opens up a lot of opportunities for people who are living the area. This is one of the positive impacts of gambling that a lot of people often overlook. I have such thoughts also when I first hard of the name,  although it is a popular name and brand and I will not be surprised if some segment of the business deals with music or entertainment so for sure we have to look out for something similar to that on the long run,  but also on the opportunity that this development provides,  for those leaving in that region to get some jobs that could be based on hourly payment as this will be a big additional source of income for the people leaving around that place, having such high pay rate is something that is very fantastic and attractive to employees who may be looking for additional income.

It's 65,000 square feet, not meters though. I think if you fit the bill then regardless of where you are, they are going to hire you. One more thing is that the hiring process will start in the first quarter of the year, so for those who are interested, don't get excited yet. But you have months to prepare yourself if ever you are interested on the positions from managerial/supervisory to chef and valet drivers.

Casino has been always in the plus side though, that's why they are opening another casinos. But it wouldn't put to much dent on the US economy, maybe their Rockford, Illinois will get the most benefit specially if they are majority hiring locals.

I think I'm seeing a bullish move by Hard Rock here. The casino business is about to see different shades of success with the ushering in of Hard Rock.

I'll surely look into the openings and see if I get a slot. I also consider this move one that will keep competitors on their toes as you have to up your game to be in the space. A big wig like Hard Rock will usher in more standards in the space.

I am giving this some thought, and all I can think of is if mostly gamblers will be employed due to the fact that the casino may like to protect non gamblers from becoming gamblers due to the environmental pressure of working in a place for gambling.

From what I read using the link you had provided it says they are to provide 1000 jobs both full time and part time. To me it's about the job interestingly it will take 1000 jobless/underemployed persons out of the street and the pay is attractive for both high and low ranking employees. Anyone living in their jurisdiction  can be hopeful of finding a job with them.

Something about almost all on land casinos outside the gaming entertainment, they make all that will give the gambler a hospitality resort treat available and this is what I have just seen with Hardrock too, there's restaurants, a space for rock music, and more, all just to get you carried away at the cost of your pocket. Nah, everyone is open to apply, gamblers or non-gamblers, if you fit the job description then why not? but they could have prioritized those locals though so make their economy move at least.

And if I'm not mistaken, if you are hired, there could be rules that you can't play or seen in a casino, well that's how I understood it, like conflict or interest or something. Because I know someone who works on a casino and he doesn't want to go near any casino because he shouldn't be seen there.

So we have just another casino, that speculate on a brand name. Right? Really dont know what to discuss much here, as Vegas offers the same and for a long period already.
