I see that you are new here so I would like to ask you to please take the time to use the search feature before making a post to make sure you aren't making a duplicate topic. Can responsible gambling yield positive results? Most likely 'no'.

You may only select up to 2 options. About trading? Also most likely no but the chance to make money is more in trading than gambling, but it is as dangerous as gambling.

Recommended budget should be just 1% of your weekly income.
My recommended budget for me is 5% of my weekly income.

If you want to gamble for long, you can divide the 1 to 5% of weekly income into 100 and start gambling with it in order to stay longer.

We have tons of these discussions here in the gambling discussion board and all that you need to have done is to join the already existing discussions and contribute to your quarter,  instead of creating this topic although just like the first comment already pointed out, not this topic is not useful it is but then to avoid repetition of comments we try as much as possible to minimize duplicate thread no matter how interesting there are, a good example is this thread, advisable you lock the thread and join the ongoing discussions already.

Points 1 and 2 are useful for beginners who have not spent a lot of money and time in gambling.

I think your poll question (Can responsible gambling yield positive results?) the answer is no, why? because gambling is not a way to make money.
The second option (forex trading) which was in the poll, at a glance my mind said no, even though I don't master the world of forex trading like a professional trader.

Gambling responsibly, according to my understanding, has positive value but is to avoid addiction which can make a person lose control.

Although, you're right in your approach of promoting gambling responsibility but I think we have similar topics in this board and it's nothing new. I would still say that a gambler should read this thread and learn something from it. It's always better to allocate a percentage of your earnings for the purpose of gambling, I would also say that 1% to 4% is more than enough for gambling purpose, and if someone adds more than that then the losses can be higher if luck isn't in that gambler's favor.

I believe that if a gambler losses a lot in a day then that gambler should take a break of two to five days, and then try his luck once again by placing some bets at slow pace. If the same gambler continues to gamble even if losses are way more than wins then such gamblers will either get addicted to gambling or they will end up loosing everything and their account gets empty in no time. It's very important to be a responsible gambler and never ever consider gambling as a quick way to get rich.

If a gambler takes a break and then comes back without having a new trick under his sleeves, it will not change his luck but the same outcome again. A new strategy to win or a strategy to just reduce his gambling activity will do if he is trying to quit gambling.

It can still put the person under anxiety and compulsiveness, once they don't want to stop playing after the determined budget is gone. To set a limited budget for gambling doesn't prevent someone from not going ahead on their betting session when they shouldn't, although you are right about the fact it's a very essential rule which must be followed by every gamblers, despite them being newbies or veterans.

Linking the two points you made, there isn't much a gambler can do after he spends his budget. He has no choice besides taking a break, until his income is renewed, so he can set another budget for gambling purposes again. Technically, if you follow the first point, you will automatically be following the second, since they are connected by cause and consequence law.

You are correct on what you said because whenever people tried to channel their efforts on their winning it always turns out the other way round especially when bettors or gambler keeps making lost they wouldn't think of taking break to restrategies and have another cool way to succeed in gambling.
Most people would keep chasing lost at the cost of trying to regain back what they have lost, but taking break for awhile will help to reduce the amount of lost. But however, I think there have been other related topics that speaks more about responsible gambling.

Well, basically being responsible to anything won't do you any harm. Being responsible means you are aware of what you are doing and that will give you a prior solution to a problem which is addiction. Determining your allotted budget and taking a pause, are two baseline knowledge to be used on things which involve risk. Would be helpful indeed however, it won't be easy as it sounds. These things require self discipline and as we all know, not all people have it; if we do have it, then all people should be rich by now. Self-discipline means one's initiative should be present. You can name all the ideal characteristic a gambler should have but not all people has the initiative to set such limit to themselves.

This is exactly stated on every responsible gaming terms of the casino and there’s a lot of advice in there too aside to these two. The problem on gambling was you can’t stick to this basic once your emotion is already high due to excitement or fear on losing depending on your current gambling situation.

This is why many players still failed to follow it even though it’s a golden rule and casino keeps reminding it to the players because they knew only few people can play in discipline manner.

Despite this thread becoming a routine but do you think a gambler who takes a break from his losses and then comes back to continue playing the way he has been playing that caused him the losses will have any difference in his output? No he won't because you don't expect to get different result doing same thing.

I was probably you would say change your strategy after the break and try if there will be an improvement in the profit output. To continue in same pattern gives same failing results.

I think we have another thread with exactly this same title, though it's been moved to the gambling discussion board which is actually where this one should belong too.

Aside the fact that it's of utmost importance that we keep the idea of responsible gambling always alive in the gambling section of this forum, so it continues to stay in our minds while we go on  with our gambling activities, I also do not find it very interesting to have multiple threads discussing the same thing, the other thread which also centered on responsible gambling is still active, op should have just commented there rather than create a new thread.

But anyways, I see that op is a newbie, and possibly yet to under how the forum works, lets hope he will learn not to make this type of mistake again.

3.Try to focus more on sports betting if you are a fan of one of the sports: because you can deal with analyzes more logically and make reasonable expectations. Online games are always subject to pure luck and cannot rely on any logical thinking method.
4.You must carefully choose the site on which you will practice gambling activity: This is the most important point, I think. There are several criteria that can help you make a choice, and you can find many discussions that touch on some of them.

These mistakes are likely to happen from any newbie, and this is what excuses him. Both gambling and forex trading have similar characteristics which are risks, both have the same level of risks and if care is not taken you can lose all your money, and also when it comes to proactive measures, they still have similar means to protect yourself from falling too deep into such stage.
Trading may be seen as less risky compared to gambling, which is relatively true but then also, if care is not taken trading can give you the same level of negative impact same as what gambling does at some point, tendencies like debts and addiction ls are also present with trading forex as well.

You may not be advised to lock the thread, but you may want to know that there are a lot of ideas that have been discussed in the old threads, and discussions on this thread will never be anything new from what has already been discussed.

There are several characteristics of a responsible gambler and also conditions that a gambler needs to adopt in order to become a responsible gambler. If you take your time to search through the gambling board, you will discover so many other threads where this same topic has been discussed.

Being responsible gambler is a must and it can prevent you from getting addicted in gambling.
Though this may sound so easy but of course in reality there will be challenges and you might not fulfill this overnight. Controlling your emotion is one the big challenges that you may encounter in gambling and if you are too emotional, you might suffer a big loss because of being too impulsive. You have to take this slowly but surely and know that being responsible should be your priority and you should always do your budgeting.
