Is MATIC better or DOT? Which one has better potential?

I have been using both, DOT and MATIC since 2020 and my comments/observations are as follows:

Matic is basically a lyer2 chain on Ethereum Block chain aimed to improving scalability and provide framework for connecting Ethereum compatible blockchains.DOT on the other hand operates a multi-chin network, enabling various block chains to connect and share information.

From my perspective, Matic has been notably successful in attracting investment for numerous protocols, primarily due to its lower transactions fees. Whereas, Polkadot seems to be facing challenges in marketing its coin to big inventors and achieving wide-spread popularity for the DOT network.

Both Matic and Dot are in the top position in coinmarketcap with a good marketcap so both coins have a lot of potential.  But I prefer Matic a bit more because this blockchain has become so popular that even though its price is much lower than DOT, it has the potential to move to a much better position in the future. Because the gas fee of this blockchain is very low, it has a lot of user focus, so when Polygon like bsc chain starts to be used in huge amount, then MATIC will get a good value in the market.

Your choice of Matic seems prudently correct, given the market acceptance/adoption of this coin for making transaction on reduced cost. I agree with your opinion that DOT is not a bad project. Its performance was very impressive in the bullish cycle of 2021 and even I had made good profit on my DOT coins holdings. However, its development is not keeping up with the paid pace of technological advancement in crypto landscape.

 Recently, Polkadot has signed partnership agreement with Cardano (ADA), let's hopefully this collaboration inducts new vitality into the project.

I haven't used DOT so I can't say anthing with it. But with looking for alternative transfers, I've used matic many times and it didn't disappoint me. With this time when Bitcoin transfers are costly, matic is part of my list for alternative transfers that I'll choose if ever I need to.

About it being an investment?

I don't know what to say as well and I can only speak for my experience with it through its use case and that's an approved thing for me.

Does MATIC have the potential to become something like DOT or Solana? I mean in terms of price.

The decision to pick up Matic is a better one now than to pick up Solana and even though you might appear late, you cannot tell it's over for Solana.

Picking solana as a choice now is not preferred by many because of how high it is right now. Going on with it is like you've chosen the wrong pick whether it's still possible to move higher prior to the bull run.

It is possible that Matic will run late in the market and outperform Solana in terms of return on investment. The ability to predict who will outperform is difficult, especially since they have used cases, active communities, and active developers.

Yeah that can happen but as you've said, it's hard to predict which will comes next. And for that reason, if you have some projects on your mind and willing to invest.

It's your time to do your thing and research before any pumps happen so you won't be left by the skyrocketing soon. With this, choose wisely and remember the reminder of everyone, DYOR.

Matic and Dot are quite competitive. Even now, Mefeka's rank in the coin market cap is quite competitive. The difference is that the Matic price is still low and small, while the Dot price is quite high. Well, on the other hand, I personally still choose Matic, for the reason that the price is still quite affordable to prepare for the bullrun later and get a profit which will probably be quite a lot. And what's more, so far we still use the Polygon network more often than Polkadot. So in my opinion I prefer Matic.

arguably based on the fact that there are so many token and inscription happening in matic that the rate of deployment significantly surpass its competition and might also surpass ethereum and the fee keep staying on its place not increasing is already such a feat for matic.
I think many people overlook this fact, matic has been one of the most successful blockchain that have good capability when it comes to scalability and its not some random blockchain out there can achieve, also the fact that it has been tested with so many transaction occurring and the fee is still low is good enough right now matic is already reaching $1 due to the bullish market trend.
though the total supply is what keeping me away from investing in it.

For me, Id like polygon better since its an evm and likely resemble eth that can be used the same with lower fees. Not sure if dot can have the same ecosystem with dapps on polygon as they likely one of the leading of the L1s like solana, eth, avax and many more. Ive usef dot only during parachain crowdloans and I can say that its not as user friendly compared to others L1. But thats only my opinion, others might have like it.

The craze that is happening about L2 of ETH network is way higher than L0 blockchain like dot. Dot will also rise in price but L2 is getting more exposer and all those L2 of ETH network ecosystem also grows significantly and even new L2 is emerging with new promises. My bet will be on matic as it already has a fanbase, its a L2, most of the tokens are in circulation which means there are no new tokens or institutional grade technology. All these are more appealing to an investor than dot which is trying to upgrade to Dot 2.0 to get adoption.

Now it is premature to talk about the prospects of MATIC as a native token for the Polygon network. Because after the completion of the migration of MATIC to POL (Polygon 2.0), the situation with fees and the price of the token may change dramatically. Good choice mate. I am not giving financial advice to anyone.  And I won't tell anyone to invest in Matic but I think Matic will one day create huge hype in the market like BNB & ETH.  Because its blockchain is very smooth and its transactions are completed very quickly.  DOT once created a lot of hype in the market but now it is very silent.  However  Dot can get good hype again I wouldn't bet it.  But my choice is Matic like yours

Matic and DOT both are beneficial tokens and if anyone wants to invest amount so I will suggests that may be you put minimum amount but choose both these tokens as you will definitely grow your wealth through these coins. Presently Matic is growing very fast therefore people will prefer Matic more but in my opinion DOT is also a beneficial option so don't forget to select both of them in your portfolio.

Although the price of DOT is higher than Matic but now Matic is going with speedy growth which will show a better future for all of its users.  We have to not look into the higher or lower worth but we have to see the recovery and market cap of selected coins and sometimes lower value turns into higher like that of Matic which attained the value of more than 1$.

I don't get why anyone would consider DOT when we know cross-blockchain bridges have been vulnerable for so many hacks out there. Also, what they are developing is not that interesting in the first place, While in comparison. Reddit has adopted MATIC for their NFT avatars, and it's huge for their growth. Dot is not in the same league imho, they are very different solution to very different problem. So they are not in comparable in any way. Even if we considered only price growth, i would go with matic. Although that is if i had to choose. If i wouldn't need to choose from those 2. I wouldn't pick either one.

I think I personally will prefer to Matic. Avtually both of them are promising projects and they have their great networks to use. but I prefer to Matic for investment because it is  more affordable so that I still can but more Matic with limited money to get more amount if compared to Dot.

But, it doesn't mean that I don't want Dot. Because Dot is also a kind of promising project to watch and follow. this wil be exactly great opportunity to take veeru chance for getting worth it investment.

Good chance they both run up in a straight bull market, but anything can happen.  If I can't choose between projects I buy both split down the middle than ypu limit both your upside and downside risk.  Personally I like matic better.  During the bear market that team has been grinding away at the actual project without any care of coin price.  Seems legit.

  If we base it on enhancement and development, polygon is more visible in that regard than dot, so it is better to save it than dot, in my opinion. Matic is because I can see that it can follow BnB, to be honest.

  So it's also good to save for the long term. Even if you research now about Dot, you won't see much development done here; there is, but there is no impact on the community of the crypto space, nor will you feel that they are doing something for the future of their token.
