Is MATIC better or DOT? Which one has better potential?

I think like other people my opinion on DOT is that I haven’t used it. I’ve seen that it pays insanely high interest on some exchanges, so that’s enough for me to not bother exploring it much. MATIC on the other hand I’ve had to purchase in order to make certain purchases of NFT and Metaverse services. I also own a few thousand MATIC.

Weird enough but I would not use either. However, if we must pick one, I would pick matic over dot personally. I know that the market doesn't think like that, but I have seen it be used a lot more when ETH fee structure was busted, and if the bull run happens like I expect it to happen then I would guess that it may happen again. I am assuming that it is going to be a hard period, and I believe that we are going to end up with something that has to be a bit more MATIC favourable when ETH fee's are higher.

I think that has to be the most important thing, and it should be something profitable on the long run. I get that it is not going to be all that crazy to think, it should be something that may benefit everyone over time, as long as we give it enough time.

I have both of these assets, and it’s difficult for me to say which asset is better to invest in. Matic has less growth potential, but this ecosystem has already passed many tests and it will remain on the market. Porlkadot has a greater chance of price growth, but it has its own problems in an ecosystem where there is very little liquidity.

  If we base it on enhancement and development, polygon is more visible in that regard than dot, so it is better to save it than dot, in my opinion. Matic is because I can see that it can follow BnB, to be honest.

  So it's also good to save for the long term. Even if you research now about Dot, you won't see much development done here; there is, but there is no impact on the community of the crypto space, nor will you feel that they are doing something for the future of their token.

I also agree that matic has a better technology and marketing team than dot but the current performance of dot is better than matic. This can be because of the news events on dot but in the long term i am more bullish on dot than matic. Also matic has a fixed cap on supply when dot is an inflationary token thats supply is increasing every day. So in the long term we can see better ROI for matic than dot. Also matic is working with ETH L2 as well which has massive hype in the market right now.

You have made the right choice by owning the two of them, and truly, I don't think there should be true investors of cryptocurrency that will not own any of the top ones. Even if it is a little, one should still own them because no one knows the ones that will truly perform, while one will definitely perform more than another. Therefore owning the two will be a kind of leverage of not missing out in any way it might come in play. MATIC for instance is very deceptive, it will not move when other coins are moving, but when others have seem to have ended their movements, it starts spiking up. Also, with the way the project is, I believe that it is a very good token that might suprise a lot of people in the near future. The same thing goes for the DOT, I believe it is a cryptocurrency with a very good prospect and will continue to rise over time. DOT can still rise more than x10 in the coming bull run, so it is good to own it too.

The decision to pick up Matic is a better one now than to pick up Solana and even though you might appear late, you cannot tell it's over for Solana. It is possible that Matic will run late in the market and outperform Solana in terms of return on investment. The ability to predict who will outperform is difficult, especially since they have used cases, active communities, and active developers.

If he is late, that means he lacks in knowledge. Therefore yeah, he can't possibly tell what scenarios are going to happen. But even to us who already have an experience, we still can't accurately predict things. I check the creation dates of the two coins and I'm a bit surprised to see that both have started on the same year.

That is an extraordinary amount considering current market prices. Do you mean several tens of thousands of MATIC? .

It's just that Solana is performing better than in Matic in terms of price. Solana had some controversies going on, and what if this is the cause for its collapse later on? That will only be the time for Matic to win against it.

If we talk about efficiency and transactions, I think MATIC is still better than Solana even though Solana is currently popular and the price is pumping. I have made several transactions with MATIC and to be honest it is very cheap and fast. I haven't used Solana probably because for me the price is a bit expensive at the moment.

Both are quite potential in my opinion, in terms of good and bad both have their differences, and the technology offered on these two networks also has its advantages and disadvantages.

So to make you not dizzy in my opinion it is better to have both for the bullrun later, it is much better and so that there is no regret when one of them has a much greater increase in bullrun. Including I also have these two coins, although of these two I have more matic coins than Polkadot. but back again DYOR, all decisions in investing are yours.

Simply put, for people who believe in Ethereum they will usually lean more onto Polygon MATIC, Polygon is an Ethereum Layer-2 Project, so their utilization will very much depends on Ethereum popularity, if Ethereum has a bad situation, then Polygon will get worse. On comparison, Polkadot is multi-blockchain bridge, which is definitely more flexible, not depends only on Ethereum.

Other than that, they are only 2 ranks apart, regarding marketcap.

I personally currently don't invest in any of those 2, so I don't have any favorite, but I used to hold some MATIC.

Both are better projects in terms of market, and within both, there has been a lot of development in the bear market. Polka Dot is an older project while Matic is relatively new.Matic handles your transactions with very low fees compared to Ethereum. The dot plays the role of communication between all the chains. Both have strong communities and active teams. Investors are interested in both projects, and those who have bought both are holding it for the bull season.

I have both these coins in my portfolio and I intend to hold them both for the long term. Both are fetching very good price right now which can definitely prove to be the best investment for future and I don't think either of them can hurt us or the investors. therefore between polygon Matic and polka Dot  I can't say that one is better than the other, Rather, both are good coins and I have full confidence in both.

I would rather prefer to invest more on matic because this is a project I have made huge profits from since the previous bull market.
I so much like this project because the team are really doing a good job to promote it and make sure investors make some profits from it.
Those that don't know the potential of this coin can try and invest in it to see the difference between it and DOT. I don't really know much a bout dot but I don't think it could put perform matic which I know very well.

Though I have not used any of the two but I made some findings and I see that Matic price in the market is $1.00 while Dot price in the market is $8.45 but from other comments, I saw that people choose Matic more than Dot therefore I will advise you to follow the token that has more population. But if I am to select, I will go with Dor because the market cap of the dot is much more better or is it that I got the wrong price from the two?

Op you can also follow your and other people analysis of the two tokens before choosing one. And if you have funds then you can also invest in the two tokens to avoid confusion.

as short term trading I choose Matic and worth to earn daily day profit because this coin good progress up and down few percent, last day earn profit with Matic when price dropping after bitcoin going down and likely Matic price depend on bitcoin.
I don't make Dot is my favorite altcoin trading in binance and there are have matic and some other altcoin, with current price dot have raise above $8 I don't know have on highest price or not depend with matic still $1 and most profitable for small capital to earn profit.
In transaction Matic is most cheapest network with lower fee for sending or swap coins on their chain, but I don't have experienced with Dot have their own chain and how cheapest fees for sending coins.

your statement is true there's chart that reflect the current popularity of project, like polygon and dot by the delpoyed smart contract as well as transactions, its true that polygon right now among the one that has the highest smart contract deployed meaning so many project utilizes the blockchain because they consider it to be cheap as an alternative to ethereum, i remember back then when ethereum fee was becoming unbearable it rise as high as few hundred dollars just to send some token or even more expensive with swapping so many projects are just making decision to move over to polygon just because at that point its become unusable for most of their community to interact with their smart contract, i think from then people have learnt that matic are just simply cheaper if its just for the sake of deploying token, swapping token and so on, meanwhile DOT right now, i don't know, its not that popular among people to use, rarely i see a project deploying their project in DOT aside from the DOT existing ecosystem maybe thats just me though, after all, DOT also have quite the trading volume and market capitalization.

Never that I used DOT but matic on the other hand once in my folio but if you are asking to
what is best if you are investing? it is Polygon(MATIC) for me has a huge potential ,being ready in the coming
bull market , better to have matic in your wallet.

There has been a lot of hype around DOT and I haven't heard anything new about them in a while so it's safe to say this coin is dead.
MATIC has seen the same hype, but the project is still shocking and offers low fees. Therefore, when we compare, we find that MATIC is much better than DOT, and I recommend investing in it if you strongly believe in POS.

The dot is much better than the Matic I think, we've seen the dot in a much better position in the past. Matic Polygon is far ahead of its dot in popularity and leading in marketcap. Accordingly, I can definitely say that the metric lags far behind the dot both in terms of price and popularity. So dot is a dependable coin compared to matic, and it is likely to go well in future.

I am more cool with Matic due to its nature of smart network in terms of using minimal fee for transaction and lots of nft are built using their network configuration. In other hands both coin are very good to own, before I do have them I sold out during last few years when there was so much news about bitcoin causing altcoin to drop unpredictably. It's fine to hold an altcoin like this and not those shitcoin out there that comes to deceive people and made away with their hand earn money.

I will choose Matic. Matic is one of the OGs in the layer-2 networks. So for me, Matic has already built their reputation in the market especially in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) world plus in Ethereum. For me, Polkadot is also good but the innovation or people using this are still few, in short, still early for them.

I guess I wouldn't be able to make a decision between these two to be fair, I am not investing in either right now, so it is not really my issue and I do not have to make a decision and I am glad that it is like that. I can however, make sure that it is in a situation where we could assume it is just a 50-50% investment?

Like you may consider that it is not that great of a deal right now, but I believe if you are so uncertain about the situation then you could easily make sure that it is not going to be all that much trouble to invest fifty fifty into them. It would make things better, and it would give you a great deal of detail as well. I believe that should be quite the most obvious situation and should give you something that would profit you, if one is wrong, the other is right type of thing.
