OP I don’t think you understand the meaning of addiction. It’s extremely difficult to quit an addiction even if the addict has come to terms that they have a problem and it’s affecting their lives. I’m not a regular gambler that gambling in daily basis but I can’t take out of my system gambling even though I’m less exposed. I always find a way to play during my free time even once a week or a month. I believe what you have said and looking at the whole thing inside the gambling world,, I will say that you are absolutely correct.

There are a host of things in life that are easier said than done and this is one of it as Op has made it seem based on his perspective about gambling addiction. Everyone is talking about addiction whether hard drug or gambling addiction but not everyone has experience any of these addictions, therefore the manner and tone at which someone who have never been an addict will talk about it will be so different from how a former addiction or someone who had had an addict under his care would also talk about addiction.
