I think the usual bet means that you will profit normally if Argentina wins the first half as expected but you'd get double your profit if Argentina wins by Messi scoring in the first half. I feel the bet is only valid for the first half alone and not the full time taking into account. Argentina will try to resolve this match as earliest as possible and send alternative players in to give more resting time to their main star players. In World Cup, any injury of a main star player can affect a whole team in remaining matches and Argentina will surely not want to face with such unexpected injuries. Messi is very important with their team and they will try to protect Messi as best as possible. Austria certainly will not play this match to lose, so they will try their best but Argentina are simply at a higher level. Messi has grown with his game and now it looks as though he is now a master in his own craft. At his age he is still able to get a higher rating in a football game than all the newer attackers around who are much younger.
I think the pressure from the success of Messi and then the other younger strikers like Mbappe, Haaland got to Ronaldo and he could not have same good performance against DR Congo.

I think many people underrated Lionel Messi's form coming into this World Cup, he was taken for granted thinking that because he was playing in the MLS, that the assist and goals he was getting before this world cup was because of the quality of the league. He is showing to everyone even at his age that he is still HIM, even Ronaldo fans cannot lie that Messi has been very good more than Ronaldo and even many younger talents, he is still outscoring them at his age, and that is something phenomenal to me, someone getting to 39 soon. Every good messi performance puts pressure on the shoulder of Ronaldo and increases the chances of him to play more poorly because of pressure Not like he cannot handle it but because he would want to do things like he used to do not adapting to his age and a new style of football like Lionel Messi has done. |

I say that the Senegalese team had a chance to win the game, anybody who bet on Senegal was simply taking a risk that they could have benefited from. The French team simply stepped things up in the second half, Michael Olise and Mbappe have something going on between them that looks like it will benefit the french team.
