Do you mean online or offline? If you are talking about offline, like physically in real life, then you are absolutely right, we all have friends whom we have once of twice gathered with to play football and other type of sports games, card/table games, some local types of games without getting any casino involved, and even in most cases, we bet money on this games just as we do when we gamble on a casino online or offline, this is the true meaning of pvp (which simply means person verse person) games, some will refer to it as peer to peer game also

But if you were or are talking about online games, then casino must surly get involved since we may not be in the same location with the other parties, so the casino acts as a connector which connects and bring everyone together for the game which they (the casino) will also be the one hosting.

I actually haven’t been in the Gambling board at all over the years - my main “playing ground” has always been the financial markets. When I randomly checked the Gambling board back in 2023, I quickly realized that for some reason speculating on exchanges isn’t considered “gambling” here on Bitcointalk.

I only started looking into the Gambling board again about a month ago, when I noticed that my information space suddenly became full of casino ads. Since my information space is more or less a typical one for a bitcoiner, I got curious: is the gambling industry really investing so heavily into attracting bitcoiners? It feels a bit strange to me - after all, bitcoiners usually don’t need intermediaries for financial interaction.

And not just bitcoiners! Even when the DeFi trend appeared around five years ago, one of the promising directions mentioned back then was lotteries and games on blockchains.

So that’s why I began studying how gambling is being discussed on the main bitcoin forum. The last time i played PvP game was on Wintomato, in the chat there was a player sending a slots challenge to other players, if you play the buy in each user gets the same amount of free spins and the winner takes all.
