I have not heard about that story until I read the post by lupandina, I'm shocked to be honest to hear about it.
It seems that the owner of poorbot was frustated when he heard Eddie say about the removal of the tipping feature which make him did something really bad. 
Did poorbot lost everything in his account balance including all tips sent to him?
Can we say that poorbot exit scam now as poorbot did not clarify anything here about that story as informed by lupandina.

I haven't looked yet, but if some valid scam accusations pop up then yes we could say exit scam. Until we see people complaining they lost money with proof, no one should consider tagging more than a neutral for a warning.

It's such a strange behaviour over news that haven't even been set in place yet. And yeah, as we all know now stake made a u-turn to not ban tipping.
But why would they rage bet the funds away when they could just withdraw them, doesn't make any sense.

I personally know somebody who makes dumb decisions when rage consumes him, so I wouldn't be surprised if somebody else does the same thing. I'd suggest anyone who loses their money to post a scam accusation as mentioned above so we can at least give his account a tag. OP seems to have been online a few days ago, not sure why he didn't post a reply or anything on this thread though.

Well, even right from the beginning of this whole stake banning Tipping, and poorbot immediately announcing that they will be closing their exchange services even when an official statement hasn't been released by stake management yet, I wouldnt say that I knew something was phishy, but I really felt that poorbot's decision to quit their exchange service as a result of the speculated or rumored ban was too hasty, even their competitor (dinobot - sorry if I get the spelling wrong) didn't panic, but continued to provide their service after the rumor.

And should I say that poorbot have possibly or initially had plans to quit offering their exchange services, but were just looking for a good opportunity and something to use as an excuse? Very possible if am asked.

And as for those who kept sending tips even after poorbot have announced here and on their site that they are closing their services, I honestly fault and blame them for not being current to informations regarding a service they are using, if poorbot hadn't announced closing down their exchange service, this would have been a separate issue altogether.

Can you post some screenshot as proof of those users claim? We haven't seen any complaint from any user of Stake here or in the Stake forum. I had sent an email to Poorbot team, but looks like they aren't interested to give any update from themselves. I'm not taking the side of Poorbot here, but it is the fault of those users who kept sending tips to Poorbot account after it started showing the error message.

They don't have plans of quitting the service until they've seen the news about stopping the tipping on the platform. But anyway, with all of these speculations, anything is possible.

This happens when the users aren't updated on what happened. Maybe those users are just too lazy to visit the service threads of poorbot and get some updates on what actually has happened.

I guess that this should be a norm for every user that actually uses any kind of service. We have to keep up to date whether they have updates or none. Just do normal checks and doing it as a practice.

There were no user funds "gambled away" or kept, they were all refunded automatically in 30 mins after the bot has stopped working. Unlike others Poorbot is an instant exchanger so we don't hold customer funds.
There's a wager requirement before you can send tips, Poorbot account doesn't collect any VIP or other bonuses, and is excluded from rains.
Also Poorbot had +60k USD liquidity available at most times. I could only read the posts in this thread recently, IIRC the talks in the chat was mostly about Poorbot going away and not the alleged "exit scam".
Rest assured, there's not a single cent from the users that hasn't been returned or exchanged.

With the OP's detailed explanation above, it's clear now that the whole issue clearly wasn't really what we all thought It was, and it's also clear now that most of us had assumed wrongly.
Like op explained, he said those who sent funds to the bot got it back after 30 minutes, 30 minutes can seem like it's hours in some situations, so it's possible that those who sent fund and didn't have it exchanged started complaining about being scammed, and the news of poorbot closing down their exchange services made the whole issue escalate the more.
But than after 30 minutes, the funds returned back to the wallet it was sent from, but the affected users probably were too ashamed to go back to the chat and let everyone know that their funds had been returned.
We see things like this quite often on this forum where a user create a scam accusation against a casinos, and after the issue is resolved, the user never bother to come back and let other forum users know that their issue with the casino has been resolved, this us mostly common with forum newbies.

Anyways, I am happy that poorbot is coming back even better than before, kudos to op and good luck again.

Good to see that your clarification and nice to hear that there is no one's fund is affected, at least I do not see any complaint against you till now.
Just visited your website and I read that your service will be back by the end of this month which is another good news.
Lesson learned for you from this experience, do not take decision too fast as there is still time to think.
Since your too fast decision to close down your bot, you might lose some of active players who used to use your exchange bot till now.

Well, to me it seems quite obvious poorbot was a non-custodial exchange... (kind of, because the keys are actually never on the hands of the gambler).Either way, It is good to see you giving some clarification on this matter, because I would have guessed there were users of this tools who were not aware of the closure and still sent some funds in order to get a shift exchange.
From what I have read, It seems you are going to continue to offer this service and relaunch it, good to know. Just wondering if the exchange rates and the fee for the service is going to stay the same as before the announcement of the bit closure or whether you intend to change the exchange fee, giving a more accesible percentage, at least for a limited period of time.

Thank you for giving us an update. Rumours had started to spread for your silence. Hopefully, the changes won't make the system complicated. Your exchanger was pretty simple to use. Users were loving it for the low fees. I guess the fees will be lowered to 1%.

Since your too fast decision to close down your bot, you might lose some of active players who used to use your exchange bot till now.

The number of users will increase more in the near future if they reduce the fee. Poorbot exchange fee is already low compared to the Dinabot.
