I don't have a good idea about cryptocurrencies. I just know that investing in Bitcoin is extremely profitable. But I don't know how to do it. My suggestion for what I will say to you is that you should understand bitcoin first before you invest in it, because it is of no use to invest your money in something you know nothing about, so you should know and understand how bitcoin works. If you have done that, no one will tell you the amount to invest. You will know the amount to invest when you understand how bitcoin works.

Actually, investing in bitcoin is profitable, but understand it first before you invest because if you depend on the suggestions of others, you will end up blaming them. It's because this market is highly volatile. I don't want to encourage you to invest but right now, you are not yet ready IMO. What you must do is read more info or gain more knowledge so you understand what you are investing with.

He's right that you'll get good profits in time but I disagree about it that he's the one that will create you your Bitcoin wallet. He can guide you but the wallet that you must use is a wallet that provides you your private keys. You can invest in Bitcoin but do that later when you understand these things already. First of all welcome to this forum which will surely be very useful for you. You have heard right about bitcoin, indeed bitcoin is a good investment, and people who have capital prefer to invest in bitcoin. Whoever advised you to invest in Bitcoin must have given you good advice. You have no idea about investing in bitcoin, because you don't know anything about cryptocurrency. so in my opinion you need to know about cryptocurrency market first.

You can find complete information about Bitcoin from various platforms and useful information about investing in the cryptocurrency market is everywhere. However, I would suggest that you don't rely on anyone else to buy bitcoins and create a wallet, but rather learn about creating a wallet yourself, and when and how to buy bitcoins. It's still a good time to invest in Bitcoin, and if you invest $500, that's a small amount considering the price of Bitcoin, but still a good start for a new investor.

Before you throw your money into Bitcoin or Ethereum or whatever, you gotta educate yourself so you actually understand what you're getting into. 

As for that guy's suggestions, maybe he actually knows his stuff when it comes to crypto.  You should probably ask him some harder questions before taking his advice and  like, what's his background with all this? Does he really understand it or is he just seeing dollar signs? Gotta make sure hes not leading you down a rabbit hole.  But if he has real expertise hey, maybe you should listen.  Either way, you should look into it more yourself too.  Do your own research before throwing money around.  In the end though, it comes down to trusting his motivations.  If something feels off there better to trust your gut.

It's nice to have you on this forum, and also nice to know that you picked interest in learning what Bitcoin is all about, but please I would like to clarify that Bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme where you could invest $100 and be expecting to get $200 after 24 hours, just like many scam project or coins we have out there which promise to offer what they don't. But Bitcoin is an asset that gives value to our funds more than what we could get if such funds saved in our traditional banks over a long period.

For me, I can only advise you should invest after fully being convinced that it's Bitcoin you want to invest your money into, but yet Bitcoin stands to be the best and only coin I can ever advise anyone to invest their hard earn money into, because just as we approach halving next year, so is the price of Bitcoin said to skyrocket higher.

You don't need to rush into investing bitcoin because you want to meet up with target of making profit.  Since you know nothing about bitcoin, you just need to have knowledge about bitcoin and understand the market.  Bitcoin is a volatile that if you are not aware of this and you go into investing it, you can end up being dissapointed because your mentality about bitcoin is just different.  
If you take your time to understand bitcoin very well you won't have problems with bitcoin, investing bitcoin has to do with patience of hodling and to understand every season of the market. Get to understand the rules to be successful in your investment in bitcoin.

You need to understand that Bitcoins have grown in price across the years, so if you buy now then there is chance that it might grow more in the future. Although, an investor can get profits by investing in Bitcoin but it's not possible to get a lot of profits by investing in Bitcoin right now. This bull run will continue for at least 2 years at minimum as speculated by professional market analysts and if you invest in Bitcoin right now then you may get more than 100% profit if its price reaches $86k or more.

But before investing in Bitcoin I would suggest you to learn about Bitcoin by reading as many topics on this forum as possible and you should also try to learn about personal wallets like Electrum in detail and use it yourself for sometime with small amounts. Your potential profit will always depends on your learnings so before trying to invest much better if you do a research first since might fall on wrong promises of bit profits by scammers you can interact online so to avoid losing your money just spend sometime to learn first about bitcoin since there's many information's need to consider before you should decide to invest.

Don't rush your decision upon  investing in this coin much better if you try to read more information shared by a lot of people here also you can learn from multiple discussions happened in this forum so much better if you use the search bar of this forum then search what information you are seeking that caught your interest. You can invest in bitcoin but not for him to do everything for you, first learning how to Know what bitcoin is, make use of the google and some relevant bitcoin discussion threads here on the forum, ask questions when necessary, research about how to make bitcoin wallet, know the kind of wallets to use and only allow him to teach you how to do it and not doing it for you, when he have access to your wallet then you're only taking the risk with your ignorance because he may choose to steal your money from you after knowing your secret keys.

The best way for you to invest in bitcoin in a long term investment so that you can limit the risk investing in bitcoin. It is better you learn and understand about bitcoin yourself and understand the concept of bitcoin wallet and its security because no one can be trusted especially when money is involved. If you let him create a wallet for you and buy you bitcoin then it means he will have access to your private key and your wallet and as such he can access your wallet anytime and move your funds.

Always safeguard your private keys and it should be known to you alone and anyone you can trust with your assets.

Investing in Bitcoin is a wise Idea if you have Spare money to Invest.  Keep these things in your mind while investing in Bitcoin.

1: Create Your wallet by yourself. do not let anyone else create your wallet. there are tons of tutorials and how to guides you can learn.
2: Do not share your keys/seed phrase to anyone. keep them somewhere safe.
3: Buy bitcoin from a trusted Exchange (Binance is a Good option)

That being said, you should also be aware that bitcoin is unstable, which means that its price will change based on the market. Bitcoin can indeed be extremely profitable—but only if the market is high and you are willing to take the risk and hold for the long term.  But before you invest, make sure you read up on how it works and do a full analysis to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the investment and to ensure that nobody loses out.

You didn't get any bad idea from your friend, but I think here your friend gave a wrong suggestion that invest as much as you want, I think the word here should have been like this, as much as you can afford to lose. First, what is your relation to the guy who suggest you to invest, second, how much do you trust the guy?  Did you do your own research about Bitcoin?  Are you willing to part with the money you are about to invest?

These are some question that you need to answer before investing in Bitcoin since it was suggested by some person.  It is true that Bitcoin is a good investment but it is not a get rich quick scheme.  Bitcoin needs patience and is very good for long term hodl.

For sure Bitcoin is a great investment, and when it comes to cryptocurrency Bitcoin is the safest investment that you could do, but if you are just a newbie in crypto investing is going to be your decision if you doesnt have knowledge of Bitcoin dont do it yet, make sure to learn what is Bitcoin first before even starting to invest your 500$ since it's a big amount of investment and you could easily lose that 500$ if you're not careful, for sure investing in cryptocurrency could get you a very high return of your investment but it wasn't a guaranteed investment because cryptocurrency is just one of the riskiest investment if you compared to to something like stock market.

Investing Bitcoin is a good advice since you can really become profitable in the future if you invest today. But the advice should not end here because giving advice is like a patient, it should not be left after giving first aid but should be taken to the hospital to be cured. My suggestion is that you learn more before you invest any money, now it is true that you can make money but you can also lose it if you are not careful, and taking into account how little you know about the market, that is a very likely outcome, so take your time and learn, especially about the dangers present on this market, and once you do that you will realize why it is such a bad idea to let another person to create the wallet you will actually use to store your coins.

Actually it's not a bad idea what your friend suggested but are you ready to invest in bitcoin in the long run? It goes back to yourself about his readiness which will certainly suggest a lot to invest in bitcoin at any price because the price will be high soon, but if you have doubts don't do it, if you are ready for everything mentally mala do what you can.

Your friend has done his own part by introducing you to Bitcoin and which is the right thing to do. From your tone, it is obvious you are still in doubt and somehow seeking validation whether to invest or not. I do not know about others, but what I would do whenever a juicy opportunity is offered to me is to do a personal findings to ascertain the authenticity of the opportunity. After getting the necessary information I need,  I'll put more interest in getting to know how it works, how to carryout out certain transactions and how to navigate through the site (I.e if I eventually become interested).

Do your personal research and do make sure you learn how to open a Bitcoin wallet and how to buy and sell coins too, your friend wouldn't be helping you all the time. First of all, welcome here to the forum that is actually a good thing to do as you are not yet sure as you lack knowledge which is to ask questions first. Your friend is good as he gave you an idea on how to make your money profits by simply investing with Bitcoin. You are also lucky that he would guide you and assist you in accumulating Bitcoin, but I still suggest doing your own research first, it would be better if you fully understand how to invest because not all the time your friend could help you all cause your money is on the line, you would need to decide for your own self cause it is your money. This is always a problem for some new people who are in bitcoin. They don't really understand what they are doing and are just lulled by the words of others (because they follow the hype) which in the end they are trapped and feel deceived by what they are doing even though it happens in a conscious state but it is their intention that is still wrong because the goal is only hype and wants instant profit.

This is an important thing IMO because even though we certainly agree that bitcoin is one of the good enough investments but for new people in the end there must be special attention so that they don't feel trapped by situations they don't know. Being in bitcoin is not as easy as imagined even though when taking a straight line it is just about saving money and getting benefits in the future but in the end the process is not that simple so there must be special attention in this case so that you don't have the thought of feeling cheated by bitcoin just because you are in it but don't know anything including the risks that will be owned because they are only lulled by the words of others.

Welcome to the forum, it's a good place here for beginners to learn more about crypto currencies and get advice for your first trades. First of all, if you want to invest on bitcoin you need to start somewhere. Prices are quite high at the moment, but so are many other assets like gold or stocks. If you have the money and don't know where to put it, I would definitely recommend you start buying at least a small amount of Bitcoin. I am not saying that you will be instantly profitable with it, there could be another crisis next year sending prices lower again. But it's better to own some coins instead of none. With the halving coming up next year there is a lot of upwards pressure in the market. Just don't rely on other people telling you how profitable your investment is going to be. That can lead to a disappoint, we should always be realistic with our return expectations and change with the markets sentiment.

It won't take much to get yourself familiar with the Bitcoin wallets and how to protect your seed phrases and coins. I just hope that you do not find all this stuff too complicated that it stops you from investing in Bitcoin (I observed this from your above writing).

I do know but maybe it may be difficult for a person to understand all this stuff if he or she hasn't operated the computer and the same goes for a non-technical uneducated person. Two things can happen if such a person decides to invest in Bitcoin, either he gives up thinking it's too difficult or he may lose his coins as he may not get proper understanding.

Nah, for me you should atleast learn the basics or have ideas on how Bitcoin works. Your situation has happened to me once wherein I jump into crypto without any knowledge on me. What happened next will shock you though I only invested my time and effort through a bounty campaign but that  bounty makes me a millionaire locally if only I have knowledge but since I don't have any ideas on how to exchange tokens and trade, it's value slowly goes down trend until I lost like ¼ the total value of all the tokens I have and that happened to me way back 2017. Lesson learned, always remember this popular investing quote that says "an investment in knowledge pays the best interest".

For me investment is one of the best activities, if anyone thinks about it like that, we know Bitcoin is one of the digital currencies that has very good opportunities, for me there is no doubt about putting a little money in Bitcoin for the future.

Actually, trusting advice from someone or several people is not a problem, as long as the advice has been proven by the person giving the advice quite completely. Because in this forum there are also many different suggestions and responses so the OP has to read it slowly from one suggestion to another, although the key in essence is to fully believe in himself for what he has researched. Being aware of where you are going to invest your money and the benefits and drawbacks of bitcoin will be beneficial because investing in bitcoin will present new challenges each time having knowledge about how to overcome these challenges will be helpful, understand how to profit from your bitcoin investments.
