As you know, Symmetrick declared Ratimov dead yesterday. I thought maybe we should post our condolences in this topic.

Unfortunately, user Ratimov is dead.

What a sad news , couldn't not believe, back to back reputed members who played a great role in making this forum free of spam/scam passed away. He also helped many members in achieving their next rank quickly. He helped our local thread members. Our prayers are with him. What are these happening in the forum day by day valuable users are lost forever. Really sad to hear of @Ratimov's death today.

I can't say how much this news is true but people are mortal they have to die one day or the other. There is no avoiding death. Today we are alive in the forum because we can post in the forum, that day we will no longer be in this world, that day maybe we will leave this forum forever.

At first I was confused by seen Symmetrick reporting or announcing the dead of Ratimov. And that means that the previous display name as Ratimov is dead while the present display name of Symmetrick is alive. But even as that the name Ratimov is easier for people to call and people will not easily forget the Ratimov name. Till now the Symmetrick is still a strange name to some users. Few days back, I mentioned Symmetrick to someone on social media and the guy was like who is Symmetrick until I mentioned the real name Ratimov before the guy cam ero understand it. It will not be easy for foe people to leave that from their memory.

We all know that Ratimov is not going to use his own name again on this forum because he wasn't able to face the reputation thread that was against him but that doesn't mean the person who was behind the username Ratimov is dead as NeuroticFish mentioned.

If user Ratimov is dead then I would say RIP user Ratimov but still the account is in someone's possession and I believe it's the one who controlled the Ratomov username back then. I'm sure the guy doesn't want to interact with English users anymore and that's why most of his posts are in another language now.

If Ratimov or newly known as Symmetrick is dead, the local board of Symmetrick will be the ones to create a thread for that and not the Op. Because when I cross checked the Op post history, I didn't see him doe as a Russian user. And there is no evidence of the Symmetrick dead. And I strongly believed that Op is lieing, it was this the same Op that said Ratimov has sold his account. Is it that the Op is after account or what? Op do you realized that this issue you Brought here I not for joke. This is a dead matter. And if really the said account owner is not dead and you wish him to be dead, there are consequences from nature oh. So if it is not dead and you are saying without evidence then revise the statement. Earlier is the best.

I'm loving the irony going on here, because at first I was kind of confused about the thread, not until I checked the "Trust" system of "Symmetrick" and came to find out he was the same person as "Ratimov" who got his forum name change. Who seems to be the second person within an interval of 1year to have his forum name changed (i.e if I'm not mistaking) after "The Sceptical Chemist" formally known as "The Pharmacist" did change his name months ago.

So on that note, I wish to send my profound condolences to Sir "Ratimov" as we welcome onboard a brand-new identity "Symmetrick". Lolz

The user Symmetrick, or whoever's running that account now, stated that Ratimov is dead.  They didn't specify whether they meant the user is inactive on the forum or literally deceased.  I'm not sure how you can expect the OP to clarify since he likely has the same limited information as the rest of us regarding the situation.

I clearly get your message OP. The user Ratimov is dead which means that the previous name identity  no longer exists and anything that was up with it before seems not to stand anymore and here symmetrick is very much in dominance than the previous identity.

If truly as you have said that Ratimov is dead, it is quite unfortunate that we lost him to the cold hands of death at this period of celebration. I sympathize with his family, friends and loved ones. May God grant them to fortitude to bear the loss.
