In fact the altcoins market is now saturated and thousands of altcoins are doing various development activities to maintain their positions. But many of the older altcoins are dying a slow death and you can consider them outright scams. So buy the best altcoins before the bull market comes and ditch those altcoins who entered the crypto market just to scam.

And also believe in the same way that this is the only way to take the risk involved in cryptocurrencies in it's highest order, the more you make the money the more you're being liable of making high risk in them, but if you think you've grown a thicker skin in them, then you can always go for alts.

Altcoins for now may be a little more difficult to predict because the impact of Bitcoin is very difficult to predict, but my experience is that when Bitcoin's alt season goes down first, then the alt season is bullish, that's my personal experience.

I think the end of last year was the right time to start investing, where almost all altcoins experienced an increase and this continued until the beginning of 2024, although the increase was not significant, but I am very sure that 2024 is the year of altcoins where is a big possibility for altcoins in the future  will reach its ATH again,

What do you mean by raise higher than bitcoin? If you were referring to its entire marketcap then it is possible but in terms of performance, the price of altcoins is very much dependent on the bitcoin market. There is a famous cash inflow model in the crypto market and it shows money first goes to bitcoin and from there it goes to altcoin. So if bitcoin makes an all-time high and stable price, we will see a price appreciation in the altcoin market after that. So first we need to wait for bitcoin to make a new all time high first.

After it dropped in 2022, have you counted how far Solana rising so far? Current price is $92, it is still far from its ATH ($259).
Yes, Solana has increased gradually, there are some good news around Solana lately. I think investors trust in Solana, there is no more negative news about Solana.

Of course, altcoins has high volatility, it can rise very significantly. Even there is no altcoins season, I think we still can get huge profits from altcoins. The rise of altcoins prices, don't rely on bullrun hype only. It can raise because of varied factors such as trading event, staking program, progress of the products, new sponsorship with top projects, burning event, etc.

Bitcoin is always difficult to predict. It doesn't only happen now, it already happen for years. You also shouldn't have the ability to predict altcoins accurately, we only can try to make a prediction.

Not sure what do you mean by Bitcoin's alt season?
Altcoins season is following the trend of Bitcoin. When Bitcoin price increased significantly and it reaches the sideway phase, it is the time for altcoins season. However, it is difficult to know when it will happen exactly. But I am sure it will happen after the Bitcoin halving.

Anyway, it shouldn't be your personal experience only. It happens to anyone, we all must experience it as well.

That is because altcoins are much smaller than in Bitcoin now but if we consider in the beginning of Bitcoin up to now, Bitcoin is still the highest gainer. Yes, Bitcoin takes the lead most of the times but I think there are times where altcoins start it. That's right, not all altcoins will rise because many of them are just junk. Unpopular altcoins that are listed on a smaller exchange might still be starting and may still take time for them to get qualified for a pump whenever there is a bull run.

There are still new coins who are already popular because they have a nice budget and use case. This also leads them to get listed on a better exchange.

Your beliefs aren't wrong, altcoins do carry great profit potential and one shouldn't just depend on Bitcoin if they want to maximize their returns, however, one must be careful with the coins they choose to invest in because not every single altcoin is worth investing in, so one needs to do their research before doing that to avoid financial loss.

Keep an eye on Bitcoin, as soon as it starts going up, altcoins will follow suite. We all know that Bitcoin governs the whole market, which means that when it goes up, the whole market goes up with it, and when it comes down, it drags the market down with it. So if we are making investments in altcoins, we should know that they will only go up if Bitcoin does.

Smaller? Do you refer to the price? Of course, the prices of most altcoins are smaller because they have many supplies. If they have a very limited number of the circulating supplies, the price can be as high as Bitcoin. I don't which coin is the highest gainer but I saw there are some altcoins that can increase impressively. The even increased hundreds percentages, but it sometimes ended up with freefall.

As you can see the Bitcoin dominance, is still high for me, 46%.
I expect an altcoin bull run if Bitcoin dominance falls into the 30% level. Just take a look at what happened in 2018, when we saw an extreme altcoin bull run.
I am still expecting that will happen but make sure we must be careful because if Bitcoin dominance will pump, expect most of altcoins will not follow Bitcoin.

still wonder if altcoin season will cause most of altcoin to go all up in unison because lets be frank here right now fair amount of altcoin already reaching about 5x - 10x of its initial price already maybe we are already in altcoin season (?) and even though maybe in the future there will be another altcoin seasno it will not be as massive that we are trying to picture it out to be.

but i would expect that when altcoin season starting in the future, maybe the bitcoin prices is already rising high enough for people to think that its probably too late to invest in bitcoin and changing their investment into altcoin instead I think thats the most plausible scenario overall and then the altcoin market will be flourishing with the good flow of investment then altcoin season start.
because if we are talking about trend, i don't really see any meaningful trend that could help altcoin to go up besides L2 and some L1.

Well this is an Speculation (Altcoins) thread, so naturally OP is speaking about investing to altcoins. Just because 99 percent of them are scams, it doesn't mean researching and investing couldn't be worth it. And i don't know who told you that bitcoin is a market with guaranteed profits, but that's just not true. Anything can happen. Bitcoin could even go down. And compared to altcoins in last few months, where AVAX, SOL and stuff like that people bought on the bottom brought riches, how can you say that they wouldn't be worth it?

The main benchmark I think is that if Bitcoin goes up, altcoins will follow up, but not all altcoins are like that, but the majority are, if Bitcoin breaks its all time high, altcoins will have a very positive impact and will fly like Bitcoin, but we don't know what will happen to the halving. or tomorrow's bullrun. From here we can say that when bitcoin bull market starts then altcoin bull market will start.

That is purely speculation and for all the same reasons we have had our bull market and by the halving, the price could be a lot lower. But altcoins mostly follow the trend for bitcoin and when there is a bullmarket, the price for altcoins (especially some memecoins or small cap altcoins) can jump up massively without any real reason also. That is a good time to take profit!
