Phew! This was a wild one. Unfortunately, I can’t tell the exact weight of this because I pruned it (I wish I knew better). But it was about 536 GB (from data usage) which cost me around $55 because I used mobile data as WiFi hasn’t been available. It definitely feels good to have done this.

Sir, I want to take part in your challenge, but I can't provide a screenshot of the progress from the first time or when I first started it, but I have proof, I posted it on my local forum by providing a screenshot of the progress of around 37.82% on January 19, 2024 at 07 :31:19.

Before posting it on my local thread with progress of 37.82% it took me 3 days, meaning I started progress starting on January 16 2024, and I completed 100% perfect progress on January 25 2024 at 05:07:06. That means in total it took me 9 days for everything to be perfect.

You can just leave it on DEFAULT setting. Make sure you are running the node on mainnet. If you are limited by storage you can change the pruning settings. By default it's set at 2GB. If you have lot of storage you may increase it by 10,50,100GB, as you want. For me, I had only 70GB free storage, so I kept it default.

You have to run it for 14 days and must have 100% sync in order to complete this challenge. It doesn't matter if you can get 100% sync within 1 or 2 days. You have to run it for 14 days no matter what. This is the first condition. The second condition is 100% sync. It doesn't matter if it takes 20,30,40 days to sync. You must fulfill the minimum 99% sync (close to verifying the full blockchain).

It's recommend to use SSD for downloading and verifying the Bitcoin blockchain. Using HDD will be slower compared to SSD. Another thing, if you download the whole blockchain without pruning, it'll take up to +544 GB of storage, remember that. But if use pruning option. For example, lets imagine you have set it at 50GB, so after it downloads 50GB it will start to remove/erase/discard older blockchain data and add newer blockchain data. As the download progresses, maintaining 50GB, saving storage (If I'm correct).

That's similar to my setup. If you save the full blocks directory on HDD, your download gets much faster if you symlink your chainstate directory to your SSD.
