It's recommend to use SSD for downloading and verifying the Bitcoin blockchain. Using HDD will be slower compared to SSD. Another thing, if you download the whole blockchain without pruning, it'll take up to +544 GB of storage, remember that. But if use pruning option. For example, lets imagine you have set it at 50GB, so after it downloads 50GB it will start to remove/erase/discard older blockchain data and add newer blockchain data. As the download progresses, maintaining 50GB, saving storage (If I'm correct).

I'm still seeing everything normally because, since I'm using the DEFAULT setting, hopefully there won't be any problems normally. SSD is selected for download and use, my internet package is a 35Mbps gaming package. also, the CPU is on BIOS best mode 3.90 GHz. but when "Run A Bitcoin Node" 14% CPU is used. Didn't realize any kind of problem till now.

How come your username shows beside Bitcoin core? I also saw other users having the same thing. I mean how did you guys do it? I didn't have my name written beside the Bitcoin core. Is there additional option/setting for this? Haven't noticed anything like that.

Congratulations to oktana for completing the challenge! It took a longer for you, but it was worth it in the end.

Thank you! Yes, it was definitely a long run but it was worth it. At least I learnt to do the one thing I would say that I should have known from the onset. I don’t know if there are more fun things to do now that it’s fully downloaded and synced but I’ll check to see. Maybe looking up an address or a transaction? Let’s see.

It is a straightforward matter. I will show you how to do it. You follow my direction, and it will be done.

Example :
1: First, go to Downloading Bitcoin Core.
2:Then you will see Bitcoin core downloading. You can see an option, Hide, and click on it there.
3:Then you will see Create a new wallet. Click on it.
4:Finally, enter your wallet name, and you will see your name on the side where your Bitcoin core is downloading.

I am simplifying for your understanding.

That's similar to my setup. If you save the full blocks directory on HDD, your download gets much faster if you symlink your chainstate directory to your SSD.

That is actually the name of the wallet that is being actively used. You can create a new one too even if it's not fully synchronized.
You can also use the wallet to receive Bitcoin, but the transaction will appear in history when your Bitcoin Core is 100% synchronized.
