Nothing is good in excess of necessity. One thing that can be guaranteed is that people who gamble daily will become more addicted to gambling. If you try one thing over and over again, you will want to do it over and over again. Gamble can be enjoyable. Its exciting, like closing a huge transaction or shooting a hole-in-one. Just like anything else, too much good may be bad. You endanger your health and money if you overindulge. People, moderation matters. Like good Scotch, a little goes a long way. Drink responsibly, savor it, and know when to stop. Same with gambling. No work, be it gambling or any other work, should be done without interruption as it requires physical and mental rest.  Apart from physical fatigue people feel mental fatigue due to which people do not have concentration towards work.

I agree that no work should be done without a break, only gambling shouldn't be treated as "work" in the first place. Gambling should be treated as entertainment. I would rephrase your words as follows: "No leisure activity, no entertainment should be done without interruption." That's what I totally agree with. If you gamble all the time, even if you liked it, it would become boring and it would be like some hard work. And tell me, why anyone should be working hard and not getting big money for that, but pay for that form their own pocket?

Interesting question. I think the first answer that comes to mind is that addiction is so strong that it depletes a person. But still, if this is not such a case, then most likely the person believes that the efforts are paid off by the pleasure received. In the end, gambling is a voluntary activity, and if someone does it around the clock, it is unlikely because he was chained to a slot machine and forced to play

There was a friend of mine who visited me a day after and he was saying gambling every day draws you more closer to winning.

As far as one can afford loss and doesn't hamper his life financially, he can go and gamble for fun. But keep gambling everyday just not to miss a luck day is stupid act. What if he finally wins in 31st dec losing all year from 1st of jan to 30th of dec? Is that win even worthy? Can he wins back what he lost at least in just one win losing all year? Winning amount most probably will be just a small fraction of what he would have lost. So one should gamble with responsibly and for fun with the amount he could afford even with loss.
