In my opinion, I don't think making more picks lead you to more losses, only that you're able to avoid losses when you make picks one at a time that you would've otherwise experience when you make multiple bets at a time. Odds and chances don't change every time you make a bet as I believe that everything's pretty much as predetermined as it gets. You're going to get that particular win or loss regardless if you play it or not. It's your choice however if you'd take the risk and play it, and this is where you might see the heuristic of "losing more when you make more bets" which isn't really the case if you think about it.

Personally I wouldn't really place multiple bets as I'm more of a "simmer every bet" kind of guy. But if you're someone who's more comfortable taking many bets in one go by all means go for it. You should always go for what works best for you and for your bankroll.

I definitely agree this. There will always be millions of variables that will change outcome/result of game. When you add one more game to your betting coupon, you add millions more on top of it. In my opinion its best to bet on lowest number of games gambling company will allow. It makes sense, but someone who has been gambling is likely not able to stop gambling, I mean stopping completely is not easy. because gambling tends to hypnotize the mind of someone who is gambling, especially beginners who usually win at the start, they will be more confident in continuing to gamble because the initial win makes them believe that gambling can really give them an easy win.

Them main key on here is that you should really be so sure on the bets you are making. I actually think that the more we pick, the more chances we can win. The only downside of doing this is that we can earn less profit. I'm thinking about the game of Roulette here as one of my example. It is when you bet on multiple numbers and other ways to place a bet (E.g. color red, odd/even, etc.).

I wouldn't say that is the case if you are picking your bets with +EV. In that case, the more bets that you put on, the more you expect to make in the long run.

It is only when each extra bet reduces the marginal quality of the bet that this becomes a problem.

I agree though, I see far too many people fall into this trap when it comes to sportsbetting. They seem to think that they have an edge over the bookmakers when they really don't - and they overbet in -EV propositions and lose out in the long term. I think Warren Buffett once said that if everyone was only allowed to invest in 5 stocks in their lifetime, they would do extremely well. Some degree of discipline is also required in sportsbetting/gambling when you have an edge.
