Probably yes, there's nothing specific on this especially gambling ads about your personality. Basic things like 18 and location is the main target. Now if they get successfully to promote in say facebook ads or google ads, then it's easy for them to located their target such interest of the users. In facebook ads you can set anything that to get the highest result of impressions and possible clicks and visit to your URLs, these are the users who usually watch sports related videos, some time of games, etc.

Doesnt matter on which mediums they would really be putting up that focus into, there are really those people who do really that prefer on playing on a certain place and there are people who are really that easily get hooked if ever they would really be seeing something specially into those ads. This would have made much more sense if you had mentioned the casino you are referring to, or talking about here, though to me, I suspect you are either talking about 1xbet or bc.game, this two casinos are the ones I mostly see their ads on coinmarketcap and myetherwallet, though their ads aren't limited to just this two platforms though, I also see their ads constantly on blockchain scan websites like etherscan, bsc scan and so on.

Initially I thought it was some kind of targeted ad, as if they knew the kind of user I am; if you saw it too it is a bit less probable but still possible. Although I don't even think they need to do that, as almost all the traffic there is from people who share the same key interests, and even similar demographical characteristics.

I also know that their are social media ads that could be set out to reach certain individual that have a particular interest and that is another way to go about the advert.
