I do believe that airdrops were valuable before but not today. Some show good prices in exchanges but nobody is buying it and that is still useless. I could say this because I have that experience already and holders want to sell but it can't as nobody is buying. It is a manipulated price indeed just to grab attention from the community thinking that we could make some profit on it.

you shouldn't underestimate the state of airdrops nowaday there are tons and tons of airdrops that has caused people to be rich, there are manta airdrop that gives people so much money, followed with altlayer.
any person that are eligible at least earned $2k from both of these airdrops, before that there was XAI and so on the airdrops right now are just as massive as it was back then, why? because it is being supported heavily by venture capital that willing to shell out millions of dollars for these projects.
with this altlayer alone someone already made $340k just collecting 11 og NFT which was distributed for free back in the days.
just in few days, there will also be some airdrop about JUP token some people are gonna be making massive money out of it, some will definitely receive few grand at least.

Once there are positive movement on crypto, new projects are more likely to issue their tokens. Some projects even wait for such positive sentiment to go with their private sale.
And as people are more willing to buy crypto, a lot of meme coin developers, pump and dump organizers and outright scammers are active on the prospects of making money.
So it results in a boost in number of airdrops being hosted through different means. Airdrop can be a cheaper mean to advertise as the project doesn't have to spend money from their pocket in most cases. The types of airdrops have also varied, currently most project are airdropping for engagement or staking the coins on it's platform than just giving some coins to random addresses.

It doesn't matter if a project is genuine or not. They use airdrop as an opportunity to build their community and increase the community engagement. Every project comes up with airdrop to initially build a community. I don't think participating in airdrop is profitable anymore as the value of token will always be less than $5. Those airdrops that requires a qualification to be eligible are the ones that are profitable as the number of tokens depends on the activities done by individual user.

of course, alt is a good project, because there are so many exchanges and partners in the project, they even gave the first airdrop worth 96 million$, if you want to buy now it's not a bad time, because btc hasn't risen significantly yet.

I think because market conditions have improved there are so many projects being released this month, because they see the market is quite friendly, and also actually there are so many projects that have been under development from several years ago and this year they decided to list, so I think that's the cause There are several large projects listing this year.

not all airdrops are free as you think, and the duration is very long, I remember that Altlayer first held a campaign in July 2022, almost 2 years people waited for the launch yesterday

Airdrops may seem free but they are not completely free because you spend time, electricity and internet subscription to join it. Well we can say that they are technically free because without the airdrop, we would always have those things to be used for other things. You will also remember that some airdrops are not what they say they are - some are created to harvest personal data or get you to subscribe to their social media.

Airdrop coins have been widespread and encourage people to join them but guess, despite the huge rewards they are saying, only a few (less experienced) take the bait while the majority are ignoring them because these airdrops are no longer valuable this time unlike in the past years.

I don't think it ever ended, all throughout the year, a lot of projects (scam or legitimate) have been doing airdrops and so far, I don't think that there's ever going to be an end of these activity because there's a lot of people that's participating in them. Maybe what we should be looking out for is the profit season for airdrops because that's one that isn't a forever thing and that it's even uncertain that it will come every year. we can't say it's the season for airdrop campaigns. some do get attention from the community and develop very well. Apart from ALT, Manta is also trending on Coinmarketcap. Several airdrops from the Solana network were also discussed on social media. and many people are talking about it.
but still if you can't talk about airdrop season. More failures than successes make airdrop hunters profitable. those who give more are of course trending everywhere. and those that fail will of course be forgotten.

Yes that's right, many have gotten hundreds of millions in my currency version, quality airdrops although not short but not disappointing results, for nft holders and 5 other categories according to the allocation of each mission and task. devs like this know how to treat hunters and participants properly because between the two of them have an important role and get commensurate benefits. I sometimes work on airdrops like I forgot about it and save important data for access.

I usually separate wallets between testnet and mainnet transactions, although between the two wallets I still make it a habit to revoke after the transaction. Indeed, no one can fix wallets that are affected by drains and potential scammers but we can do our best to break the connection between wallets and airdrop websites. I am sure that there are more airdrop profits than being exposed to these attacks or scams. Use a new wallet if in doubt about an airdrop. There are many types of wallets and you can add more as needed. So far I am safe using 1 tesnet wallet for airdrop.

I disagree with your view that airdrops are not worth investing in at the moment. A few days ago, TIA stakers were rewarded with Dimension airdrops (DYM), and the last time I checked, DYM was trading around $6 on platforms like Bitget market. It listed around $4, so those that got in early are already profiting as I type this, imo you just have to know the right airdrop to invest in..
