Obviously when you’re gambling you should be of clear mind. Irrational emotions and feelings fan lead you to make stupid decisions that can lose you money.

Only ever gamble when you’re calm and not suffering from any RL stress or anxiety.

That's right, and in most cases I'm sure that it's emotions that ultimately always lead a gambler to a much worse situation which generally means losing all the money they have at that time, and also of course emotions are something that really can trigger various impulsive actions that should be avoided as you said, which ultimately indirectly lead to very significant regret.

Basically, as we often hear from some of our friends who are here, stopping at the right time is always recommended, or what this means is that the ability to stop at the right time must be possessed by a gambler, because that is the only way a gambler will not falling into or being carried away by the atmosphere at that time. So in my opinion, the first step that must be prepared is to understand first that these emotions can lead us to a much worse situation, and second is to know when is the right time to gamble and when is the right time to stop, such as when you are have other problems in your life then of course never touch gambling at that time, or when you are running a session and you feel emotional because of a loss for example then of course you have to realize that it is the right situation to stop and take a break.

Since I already learned how to be emotionless when it comes to investing, I just simply applied it to gambling. Indeed. Win or lose, it brings different emotion that can influence a gambler to commit a decision based on what he/she feel. It's a human nature to feel that way and understandable since gambling is an exciting activity because there's a money involved that can make a gambler win huge if he/she is fortunate. Thus, it's not surprising if many of us have this desire of making money thinking it is easy.

I agree here with you! Gambling shouldn't become anybody's main source of income (as it's nearly impossible and isn't the point of it). It should be perceived as a hobby or a way to get some adrenaline and good emotions along. It is also a good way to become more disciplined as time goes by.

Most of those who gamble face such challenges. But even if some can survive there, many fail. Losses in gambling cannot be tolerated by many. After they lose they try to recover the loss as soon as possible and lose all their money. I myself have faced such problem many times but from the moment I realized it, I did not leave for the purpose of recovering the loss. One of the biggest reasons gamblers lose is chasing the losses. When a new gambler loses his money he become crazy trying to recover that loss and loses all his bankroll. People who cannot control their emotions can never expect anything good from gambling. I have tried to control my greed as the only weapon in this battle and have lowered my expectations from here because of which I have been able to control my emotions as well.

I don't want to believe that you don't bother when you lose. Of course, you do but instead of you to let your emotions control you, you rather control them yourself. The motives are always there, the thing is that if a person has been gambling for a long time now, i think it is compulsory that he should have built the discipline and ability to control themselves. The reason is because if you relate it down to work there are sometimes when we work and gets so tried or things do not turn so well at work, we feel unhappy but yet we control our emotions so that it won't affect people closer to us or our family at home.

When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? Being emotional is not good for gambling at all because when a gambler becomes emotional, his bets are more likely to lose rather than gain. Emotion control is very important, especially for new gamblers. New gamblers become emotional when they initially lose a bet and subsequently increase their bet and bet more to recover past lost bets resulting in more losses. If I lose a bet more than once I try to control myself and. If I can't control myself then of course I keep myself busy with work.
