I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

I cant recommend much, as I dont gamble to earn. I do get disappointed a bit when I lose, that is normal, but I dont show much emotions (negative) when loosing, that would trigger spontaneous bets. I cant give much recommendations to emotional gamblers. I can suggest only to play slowly, maybe even make a pause after a series of losses, or focus for a while on something less stressful. Even a simple action like washing face with cold water help to calm down and be less emotional.

Therefore, if we feel that we are addicted to the game at least at a minimal level, or our wife has such features, then we need to watch our common child more carefully. You know when people keeps saying that it baffles me to say whether are they being blindfolded or what and of a true we can't say they being blindfolded but just because they want to double their money. No matter how much we try to keep ourselves under control while gambling, we become very emotional when we lose again after making some profit.  And at that time there are many wrong decisions and more losses. I tell my story today.  I borrowed $10 from a friend and started gambling then I made a profit of $36 then though I wanted to withdraw the money once but I got greedy and started betting bigger amounts and losing only a few bets brought the balance below $10. Being emotional, I bet the full amount and the balance is 0. this is how emotions are slowly destroying us.

Alot of gamblers are guilty of gambling with emotions therefore they will always lose until they learn to separate emotions from the game and just play knowing that the odds is against them.

This is so true, every adult as required by most casinos who ventures into gambling, at some point had good reasons they went into it, so saying they didn't know, there by making it feel like they lost consciousness when or before they got into gambling, can be considered as a huge lie because I know for sure that the quest for money or fun are things people consciously make decisions for and later proceed to implement their decisions so they are only liers to say they didn't know what came over them or probably they weren't conscious of it.
