how many of you use electrum payment processors? You often buy products with btc, would that mean that you are still buying less legal things than btc is so popular?

What do you mean by electrum payment processors, Electrum is a Bitcoin Wallet and using it as payment processor may not give good results, especially with large stores because it was not designed for that. There is a BTCPay Server[1] if you want to accept payments in Bitcoin.

But if you mean a payment processor called Electrum, I found some of them when I searched on Google, and I think they are scam. In any case, there is no connection between them and Electrum Bitcoin Wallet, and there are better alternatives, so do not use them.

When did Electrum become a payment processor? Are you referring to the Bitcoin wallet or are you asking about the wallets Lightning Network wallet? Please be more specific as your question does not make any sense. Electrum is a Bitcoin wallet that is available for both mobile and desktop, it does allow its users to use LN and make payments over the counter, there is a tutorial available in the forum about it. You can refer to this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259973.0, the images have some issues but you would get a lot of information on how to setup and use it.

Well, I use Electrum but not as a payment processor because it is not, I used to store and withdraw bitcoin, in short it's a wallet. I'm not sure if you're talking about another kind of "Electrum" that processes payments.

And what do you mean by using bitcoin to buy less legal things? What are the examples of those?
Drugs? If yes, then that's not considered less legal, that's actually totally illegal lol. Any currency can be used to buy and sell illegal stuff though, so that kind of thinking towards bitcoin is an old misconception.

Between spending bitcoins or spending dollars, I will always prefer to spend dollars, and I believe that most people do the same as me... Bitcoin for me is a protection of my assets for a possible retirement plan.

This is for sure, most of us are bitcoin investors and we are looking for profit, we are not looking for another means of payment. But many people do not dare to admit it, they always say that they consider bitcoin as currency but they have never or have never used bitcoin for payment. Many people here, like you and me, are trying to accumulate bitcoin to make as much profit as possible. But if you ask them, they will tell you to use bitcoin as currency, not to use it as an investment and lose its original purpose  Grin Grin. Nowadays, it is very difficult and rare to find someone using bitcoin as a payment method.

I have never bought anything directly using Bitcoin, but I did use my wallet to send my coins occasionally.

Do you believe Bitcoin is popular? obviously everyone ever heard "Bitcoin" names, if you ask them do you hold Bitcoin? most people would say no, if they say yes, 99% people don't even know what electrum is. They only know three things: Binance, trezor and ledger.

Well am familiar with the use of electrum to saving and sending of your Bitcoin atleast that what I use it for but for payment of things, I think I will always prefer spending my fiat that's if you know the importance especially in vital Bitcoin seasons like this. I remember the advice I gave to my friend when he opted to buy a car with Bitcoin for his wedding, I was like man what the fuck bro, why would even think of spending that much BTC @0.08btc on something that's loses value over and he immediately taught same too and paid for car with fiat instead of his precious Bitcoin.

Electrum is not a payment processor, it is a self custodial wallet for spending and receiving BTC. You can surely use Electrum to receive BTC payments in your business, but you can't convert it to fiat or other cryptocurrencies in Electrum like you would do in a payment processor. If you see anything called 'Electrum payment processor' online, then it is a scam.
You often buy products with btc, would that mean that you are still buying less legal things than btc is so popular?
I am having a hard time understanding what you mean here, but you can use BTC to buy any commodity or pay for any service, as long as they accept payment in BTC.

I suppose op could be talking about the simple merchant feature in electrum, see: https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/merchant.html

But it's pretty limited and there are many better options out there so I'm pretty sure it's not one of the popular choices for merchants. As a consumer, I've never seen it either.

Maybe he asked about it, though probably not many knows that Electrum have this feature. Personally, I haven't saw any merchant using Electrum as proccessor.
I suggest OP to look at decentralised service BTCPayServer. Centralised services is an option too. Except BitPay - just stay away from it.

Op knows what's asking for, but it's doesn't want it to be open to everyone, but for to put op in order, Electrum is a wallet that we use for bitcoin and it's also popular but saying Electrum processor I think you are contradictory everything and secondly you are making it hard for we to understand the main point of yours....so we don't need to make this as much correction because op might be an alt who knows what's asking properly.

You often buy products with btc, would that mean that you are still buying less legal things than btc is so popular?

I am truly sorry but what? I do not understand this part of your question

I know that you are talking about electrum being a payment processor which it is not that famous for there are other payment processors more well-known and specifically designed for that function than electrum

Now what do you mean by buying less legal things? You are buying illegal products with bitcoin? Or you think it is illegal to use bitcoin as a currency? Because if it is the second one then it depends on your country’s rules and regulations if your country has no problem with cryptocurrency and your merchant is even accepting bitcoin then you do not need to worry at all

I do not understand what “than btc is so popular” mean though English might not be your first language and this shall not deter you but please work on your sentence construction

You must be mistaken because is just a wallet to store your crypto, whether online or offline. It has nothing to do with processing payments for goods and services.

There are products such as copay, bitpay, coinbase where if you run an e commerce website you can accept Bitcoin payments. What happens is as soon as you get paid it’s automatically converted into fiat and you can withdraw that. You don’t deal with bitcoin directly and you don’t need to worry about price fluctuations.

Between spending bitcoins or spending dollars, I will always prefer to spend dollars, and I believe that most people do the same as me... Bitcoin for me is a protection of my assets for a possible retirement plan.
least value is spent first. This does not mean that you may not want to spend some satoshis to buy coffee or daily products, but investing requires you to postpone buying everything that is not important until the profits are made.

Need best bulletproof , BTCPlay Server have a source code?

Yeah, it is open source, see: https://github.com/btcpayserver/
Not only are they open source, but the number of reviews and services that depend on them are the most important, and they do not keep your Bitcoin, but rather you add your MPK.
